FullView and enjoy or I'll make you something devilish out of my knitting! damn, never thought I'd ever get around to finish my next page at all.. (only been one year since the last one )
ANYhow.. this comic is about my latin american guerrillas (name of country yet to be decided) fighting a oppressive facist controlled goverment. however how exiting revolution sounds it isn't action all the way, wich leads to scenes like this one^^
Edit2: all suggestions for improvements has been corrected
I've been seeing lots of crickets around lately. They are one of the few insects that don't give me the creeps and I thought, "Why are there no cricket superheroes?" Probably because the cricket can't do anything much on the cool side. Doesn't climb walls, shoot webs etc. But MAN can those little things JUMP! This guy, The Cricketeer, can jump like a mile when he really has to. He has slightly tougher skin than most humans. About as tough as plywood maybe. Seemed like the right toughness to be in proportion to a carapace. He can also tell what the weather is going to do before it happens...hm, there's his alter ego right there. TV weatherman! I don't know if thats a real ability of the insect but there are rumors about it. And he can produce a loud chirping noise that can stun bad guys. Or annoy coworkers. Whichever is needed. Although, if he did it around his coworkers it would defeat the whole secret identity thing so scratch that. Oh yeah, he can communicate with real crickets.
Here is the colored version of Unicorn 1 (see my scraps gallery for the line art). I am offering this picture under a Creative Commons Liscence . Click on the CC logo for details on usage and restrictions.
This picture was sketched on paper, then scanned in and digitally inked and colored with airbrush, pen, and blender tools.
Was scrolling through my stash and found this. My cat being a cat. Picture was taken in late June, while I was working on the first pages of DECEIT and watching south park. On screen is the first part of the script for the comic (we wrote it in a novelish manner though), and in the book my cat is so carelessly sitting on, I was doing thumbnail sketches. It looks like it's the thumbnail for the second page.
On that note, I swear the next pages of deceit will appear this week, fffhj. Sorry it's taking so long - college/uni is a pain in the ass. It will be a double upload though! One page is already finished, the other one is almost done.
From left to right is: Clepara, SeCerno (top), Bellatorix, Prestar, Nash (top), Accipta, and
Nicodemus. It took me about fifteen hours (on and off, of course) to color everything. *falls
down* I do like the level of detail on Accipta and Nicodemus; all of it turned out really well. I
tried on my backgrounds, really I did. I like the tree behind SeCerno. Of course, after a while the
artist sees all sorts of flaws and mistakes, so maybe it’s best I don’t look at this too closely. I
pieced it together from an older image I didn’t care for.
The original actually just had Clepara, Nicodemus, and Accipta, and it was called “Standing Tall”.
It was a simple rectangle image. But no, I had to turn it into a circle. Then I could deal with the
nightmare that was getting words to curve around a circular image. Dreamweaver and Mozilla
Firefox are evil! ... But I’m rambling. If you want to see my real rant, check out my journal entry.
Anyway, this is supposed to kick off the grand launching of my website. Yay for me. For the
love of God, go the site and click around. Look at all the pretty images and the map. Marvel at
the rollovers I raw coded again and again and again. If it fits your fancy, the read the first
chapter of my book!
Hey, I’d even like critique and feedback on everything. Or you can even throw a brick at me.
Cause ... y’know ... fanart’s too much to ask for.
