PE: How to Make a Large EmoticonHow to Make a Large EmoticonPE: How to Make a Large Emoticon2 years ago in Art Features More Like This
I have been asked many times how I make my big emoticons. How I shade it, dither it, etc, so I am going to make a step by step tutorial on how I make large emoticons. Even if you already know how to, you might find something useful in this. Be aware that I am using photoshop elements 3.0, so this technique can be preformed in almost any program that has layers and custom pencil brush sizes and or a hollow and filled circle tool. If your program doesn't have layers or adjustable circles of any kind (whether it be the pencil tool or the circle tool), you should be able to get around it somehow, but if you can't figure it out, I would recommend gimp. It works on Macs, Windows, or Linux computers. You can get a free download at gimp.org.
Start by making a hollow circle. The color of it should be a really dark shade of the color you want the emote to be. I'm making a blue emote, so

I just calculated that I have enough points to give myself a 3 month membership and someone else as well. So that means it's contest time.
I guess I'll just go with my normal contest, where you post funny things and I give first place a 3 month membership (or the equivalence in points).
Only 5 submissions per person.
Favorite this journal so that more people have a chance of seeing this.
Just comment with links to your submissions.
If two or more people post the same thing, I'll only count the one who did it first.
Now try to make me laugh, peasants!

Here's a short list of things that you can check yourself against to see if I actually loathe you! Let it be known that if you fill any single one of these criteria... I HATE YOU! And am not your friend whatsoever! You are scum of the Earth!
This is only a short list. I had a much longer one, but, I lost it.

MMD Rules Revised. Please ReadLately there's been confusion over the readme notes on models that come with both an English & Japanese version having different rules/conditions in them.MMD Rules Revised. Please Read2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You're probably thinking it's not fair that the Japanese version has more freedom with editing models than the English one. Then there's this assumption that Japanese modellers are racist. This is not the case. It is merely a misunderstanding and I'll explain it here.
When overseas users break the MMD rules it's hard for the Japanese modellers to handle it because there is a language barrier. It's very difficult for a modeller to talk to the culprit when they both come from a different culture. It's a huge burden for them to go through a language obstacle just to reason with someone who can't speak the same language as them, let alone try to resolve a situation where rules have been violated. On the other hand, when the culprit and modeller are both Japanese, it's easy to resolve because both people are from the same culture so there

Ripping models from PJD games.Hey everyone.Ripping models from PJD games.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
So,I noticed that some people are ripping from Music Girl,Dreamy Theater, etc. But they act like that's a super secret...and they don't even credit the people who made the script.
For example ... Music girl's script you can find on Xentax Forum. ( http://forum.xentax.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9541 ) A lot of scripts you guys can find on that forum, but it's too bad that you don't credit the ones who made the scripts.
I think when you say "I ripped it" doesn't mean that you "ripped it completely" , you know? You just took a random script(you didn't made it) ,used it on 3DSMax/whatever and...that's it.And I've used to do that too
yeah,I don't "rip" models anymore because i'm too lazy to do thatThen guys...stop saying "HURRRRRR IMAH FAKIN AMAZING DOOD I RIPPED DIZ MODEL BUT I WONT TELL U HOW TO RIP IT CUZ IM VERY BADASS ONLY MY V.I.P FRIENDS CAN GET IT".In fact, everyone can rip a model if you use Google.Plus , you're not a genius just because you googled for "Musi

Do you understand the reason why I set Japanese password?
It came from my fear that unexpected happenings can occur in oversea communities unlike in Japan.
For example, in oversea communities, my models can be edited to zombies, killed, and redistributed.
Needless to say, each of above-mentioned behavior is enough to my anger.
Still now, I cannot see an improvement of this situation, even though NononoP kindly conveyed my message to you. http://nononop.deviantart.com/journal/the-message-from-roco-319791387
I set Japanese password, but I do not intend at all to discriminate against non-Japanese users.
I know what happened in oversea communities until now. It is horrible. Just for example.. http://q-ku-mmd.deviantart.com/journal/No-kidding-323908895 http://fuwarimofumofu.deviantart.com/journal/jirai-tasinamu-teido-niha-318303828
Only fear makes me set Japanese password!!
Models that have Japanese password are treated as rare models, like models whose distribu

READ THIS RANT. LIKE RIGHT NOW."If Saboten/Nanami/etc don't want you to edit their models, then why do it? Yes, I know a lot of people would like it if Saboten allowed us to edit their models ( I'd like that ), but you have to respect modeler's rules. Think about it. A lot of work goes into models. You can't just conjure them up out of thin air. It takes work, and time. And does ( the majority of ) the MMDC care? No. We just take someone else's hard work, rip it to shreds and take parts from it. And then people are like, "Buuuut it's their fault, they distributed it!" Well, if you want them to stop distributing their models, go ahead! Get Saboten and a load of other brilliant modelers to stop distributing! Let's just make everything like it was a while ago when Nanami stopped distributing, huh?READ THIS RANT. LIKE RIGHT NOW.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
As for Nanami, even after what everyone did, she gave us all another chance. She put up the models again. Think about that. That was really nice of her to do. She didn't have to do that, but she did. But, not every modeler

MMD is artThis has been weighing on my mind for a little while. I see time and time again, people (non MMDers obviously) who bash others who use MMD saying that it is not art and it is "illegal" because it uses someone else's work.MMD is art2 years ago in Personal More Like This
First I would like to address the incorrect notion that it is illegal:
The modelers give the users permission to use their model by making it available for public download. Therefore, it is indeed legal as long as credit is given where credit is due and the terms and conditions of usage are being properly followed.
Secondly, MMD (MikuMikuDance for those of you who aren't familiar with the term, is a 3D posing and rendering freeware that involves usage of 3D models) is art. People put their time and energy into creating beautiful pictures and videos using MMD.
I myself have spent a whole day on one video just making sure that it was perfect and I know others who have done the same as I have. Also, art is a form of expression. MMD is a program that people use to express
