So, yesterday I've finally got to see Tim Burton's version of "Alice and Wonderland" - I really liked it, even though the plot differed from the original novel. Plus Johnny Depp looks so gorgeous as a Tarrant Hightop a.k.a the Mad Hatter.
Speaking of which, one thing I couldn't help but notice is the relationship between the Hatter and Alice. Now, some of you (including my own sister) might think that they're just friends but I think that their bond just goes deeper than that.
I mean, even the original version of the script implied that: in it Alice and Hatter actually kiss, not once but twice (first after Hatter's Futterwacken dance and second time right before Alice's departure to her world)! That means a lot...
In the final movie, sadly, we don't get any of it. You just can imagine how disappointed I was when Alice just drank that Jabberwocky juice and just said goodbye to the Hatter without even a smallest kiss or at least a hug. There I was waiting in anticipation, all hyped up, and then all of a sudden the whole scene dissolves just after Hatter sais "Fairfarren Alice". FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.... D:<
Anyway, I made this stamp as tribute to this couple. The picture comes from the cover of the comicbook based on the movie: I just purchased it today - it looks wonderfull. ^^
Alice in Wonderland(c) Lewis Carroll, Disney, Tim Burton and whoever owns the rights to it. stamp made by me
So my lack of making stamps for a while exploded and I made a bunch of different Mad Hatter ones.
Ah, yes. The most recent interpretation of the Mad Hatter. Johnny Depp in the 2010 Tim Burton version of Alice in Wonderland! Johnny did much better in this role than I thought he would when I walked into the theater to go see it for the first time. Go JD!
