Licorice rolled over, sulking. He hated days like today, when it was rainy and cold. They were so boring, and there was never anything to do.
"Carameeeelllllll, wake uuuup..." He gave his companion a little nudge, only to be pulled into bed.
"Shut up. It's Saturday - let me sleep while I can." Licorice sighed, bored. He wrapped his arms around the wolf, nuzzling into him. He was rewarded by Caramel's arms around his waist. They lay there together, until Licorice couldn't take it anymore.
"Come ON, let's DO something. At least get up and shower." Caramel growled lowly, but got out of bed slowly. He blinked around in the dull light and rose to make some coffee.

"Where's that sound coming from?" he asked, walking to the front of the float.
"Your next memory" the figures answered as one. Patient looked out at the memory and gasped in delight.
Tall figures dressed in green marched past, towering over him. Confetti fell like multicoloured rain. His father squeezed the young Patient's hand and pointed out the float. Patient giggled and jumped up and down. The portal shimmered. Patient and his father were lost. Patient spotted a man lying in a gutter, one of his legs at a funny angle. He was sobbing in pain. The young boy looked up at his father and pulled some coins out of his pocket. Patient walked over to the man and handed him the small amount of money. The man clutched them to his chest as though they were priceless gold.
"Bless you, Boy" The man muttered to him. Patient smiled at him sadly and ran ba
