THE VALLEY OF SIYYON
The Valley of Siyyon is a role-playing based community, built around the idea of hybrid humanoid/non-human animals (centaurs, felitaurs, sirens, etc) interacting in a land of uneasy peace.
The Valley of Siyyon, while a large portion of land, is only a part of the world. It is, or rather, it was.. the planet earth that you know. But that was a very long time ago.
There was a great war in what was know as the year 2140. It lasted many years, and during the war, animals and humans were experimented and tested upon with new forms of bio-weaponry. In the end, there was a nuclear fallout.
Everything was killed.
The earth took much time to heal itself. During this time, climates changed, new geography was formed, and life slowly began to regrow. But, not in the way it had before the w

(Mostly digital) art tips from a weird ass fox.My tips are a bit different from the usual things you hear. Mostly for those starting out.(Mostly digital) art tips from a weird ass fox.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Work on a BIG canvas. You can get more details in that way. Unless your work requires it to be small, keep the canvas large. You can then resize it allowed dimensions if needed. Yeah some of your finer details will be lost. But some of your errors may fade away as well.
I usually use 3000 X 3000 Px and crop out what I don't need in the image. FA's max size is 1280 px so my art is resized around there.
DO NOT OVERUSE ANY FORM OF BLUR. For shading, for transitions of fur color, for clouds. There are better ways to do this than just blurring the hell out of colors and lines. Sure it may be hard to do something different. But you might find a better looking and simpler way.
If you use sai...USE THE FREAKING STABILIZER(you'd be surprised how many people don't know about it). Learn the full extent of the art program you use in general too. You really are limiting yourself if y
Interstellar Travel for Dummies!WORMHOLESInterstellar Travel for Dummies!9 years ago in Personal More Like This
Yes, wormholes are the most efficient form of interstellar travel. Basically, wormholes are areas of warped space that connects two points. There are two main types of wormholes: Euclidian Lorenzian. Since "Lorenzian" usually means something to do with time, we'll be working with the Lorenzian wormholes.
Inter-universe wormholes connect two different universes that would otherwise be closed to us. In any normal circumstance, you can't go to another parallel universe; it's just not possible. The exception would be traveling to some other universe by wormhole.
Intra-universe wormholes connect two points in the same universe at the same time. That is, if you travel through one end of the wormhole, you will come out the other end at a different point in space, but no time will have passed. This effectively creates instantaneous travel between points connected by a wormhole. This is what we'll be talking about today.
Theoretically, one could create a wormhole by inducing large amo
