Mermaid Treasaria, protector of the sea and all her treasures. Watch out sailors!
The tail is made out of latex and silicone and I stitched about a thousand beads, sea shells and sequins on the mermaid top. She also has a lovely matching tiara and bracelet...mermaids got to be fashionable non? It was kind of a rush job, made it in one week....I like to change some things but I will save that for next year when it's warmer and stuff! :P

Picture was made by Mirjam Muller, crazy cosplay mermaid in crime was Diana....you don't see her on this picture because A: she was hiding in a big fuzzy warm bathrobe and B: saving our stuff from the upcoming tide. XD

Costume can be purchased here:

Edit: DO NOT STEAL MY DESIGN! There are copies of my top floating around and it makes me very sad to see someone copied my design detail by detail.

My blue mermaid! I made the costume out of water-safe materials so she can have a full adventurous life in the ocean.

Quick preview of my mermaid top, yes im making a mermaid costume!
It will be my next Special FX project, probably to rival my Neytiri costume.
The tail will be full rubber latex and as realistic as possible.

The top was made with utmost care and love by me~

Autumn Fairy - Labour of Love

I have battled with this costume piece for many reasons, one being that it was for me and I never truley happy with anything I make, but also because I am very structured and clean in my sewing and designing style, which lets face it, Fairies aren't! So this has been a learning curve form me.

I painfully spent Christmas sculpting horns and ears (It takes Sooo long to get them symetrical) but then realised I didnt have time to finish off the moulding and casting stages.
I purchesed the horns form a lovely lady in Germany. I much perfer making all elements myself and may go back and replace the horns, once I get time to finish them.

Ideally I want to do a set of 4 fairy costumes themed on the elemnts merging in with the seasons. This one is Autumn and Earth. I'm getting very excited about Winter and Water!

I will put up more photos of the full costume at a later date, the costume consits of ; dress, skirt, pants, gloves, leather Gaunlets, Leather keyhole vest and Leather belt/skirt and wings - All in shades of golds, browns, pinks and greens.

Photos were taken by my friend Doug Robinson at Unit 24 productions. He is a good friend and a softy. Thanks Doug!

On Sunday, April 25th, Indigoverse & Firefly-Path got together to conduct another in a series of shoots for the Dragoon collection.
Our journey would take us to the Valley of Fire in Nevada about 36 miles north east of Las Vegas. None of the girls had ever been there before and so it was an extra special shoot.
The weather was perfect, blue skies and 90ºF with a subtle breeze.

You can see more photos and a Behind the Scenes HD Vlog here: THE VALLEY OF THE FIRE DRAGOON 2010

I help my friend Brittany host the annual SoCal Cosplay Gathering. This year, I wore a faerie costume crafted by me, but incorporating items made for me by the ever talented :iconlillyxandra:. I am also sporting one of her beautiful gem necklaces, which are available for sale on her DA.

I was extremely excited to be photographed by Bruce Heinsius. I had seen his work before, and it's amazing!! Check it out!

This past October I got the chance to model for the amazing and talented designer (and Queen of the Fairies!) JoEllen Elam, also known as Lillyxandra. It was such an honor, and was one of the most amazing days of my life thus far! Lord knows I've been dreaming about becoming a mermaid ever since I first saw Ariel sing Part of Your World when I was a little tiny girl. Thank you Jo, Indigo and the whole crew for an amazing experience and the fantastic photos that I will undoubtedly treasure for the rest of my life!

Bruce Heinsius approached me at our gathering saying he had an idea for a photo. He mentioned wanting to have me jump for a photo. If you know me, you know I love jumping photos, so I was all about it! It took about four tries to get this shot, and I had a blast shooting it! :)
His work is truly amazing, be sure to check out his site!

After a while of working on this on and off, I have FINALLY finished my White Rose costume! YAYY! XD
This costume was fun to work on, since I got to experiment with silk flowers, something I had not done before. I was also able to use a lot of materials I already had, weee!!
I had only made a handful of petticoats for work and for commissions, but this was the first time I made one for myself. (hurray for old tulle and sheer window fabric!)
What took me the longest was the beading on the front panel, since I kept redoing it until I was happy with it.
The bodice is fully lined, and I got a chance to use an antique lace that my momma had given me a while back.

As far as the photo, thanks to Melissa (Sacryed \ Interstella) for assisting me at the shoot.
