The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean's 13 was just on...soooo I guess it inspired me to draw Matt? :D

This is about 5x5 inches (13x13cm) and took me about 3 hours tonight. I used B for the dark foundation, then built 2B 4B on top of that, then back to 2B and H to blend it as dark as I could get it.

PS - I have had a couple comments about me not getting the black areas as dark as I used to. Let me say, I never got any perfectly black, and a camera photo hides the micro holes that you can see. Now that I'm using a scanner, it shows everything so much clearer. It shows details, but imperfections too :D

I was first attracted to drawing this because of it's intense light sources, as well as being an exercise in patience for drawing all the highlighted hair :D

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover made a great pair, and were of course was very popular in their Lethal Weapon movie and it's sequels.

I used Bristol VELLUM this time, because I find that Vellum responds very well to scratching. I took a nail and a needle, and FIRST scratched out the highlights in the hair area, then drew around them. It was a lot of "negative space" drawing, which I never seem to have the patience for doing?

Paper: Bristol Vellum
Pencils: Staedtler B, 2B, 3B
Size: 6-1/2 inches tall (16cm) x 8-3/4 inches (22cm) wide
Time: Approximately 7 hours

It did not require much blending at all. The zoom view is actually larger than the drawing, but 600 pixels is too small. I wonder why they don't give us an option at 700 pixels wide???

Hope you like it?

My fav Kevin Spacey movie is probably "Pay it Forward".

Yeah I know, the shirt sucks. It was out of focus in the photo and I did not feel like spending any more time on this one. The day I can give 100% all the way through a drawing is the day I will produce my best work :D:D

This 400 pixel wide view (enlarged) is the EXACT size of the original drawing.

Kinda of a quick one for me. I had trouble with the eyes. They seemed too small and the quality of the photo was not good, so I had to make up details. I made his beard a little thicker than it was.
:D:D

Only 4.5 x 6 inches
About 4 hours?
Bristol Smooth

Enlarged view at 600 pixels wide to show details, but is larger than actual drawing

Loved this serious look from a normally goofy guy!! It offered lots of contrast and a different look for him!! Oh and yes, I realize his right eye is lighter that his left. I didn't notice it until after I spray sealed it ha!

This style was a little different for me? It felt like more of a sketch, due to the out of focus, and old looking reference photo. I couldn't make out 100% what was going on in the hair area, but reproduced it the best I could

This was more of a sketch for me, because I didn't feel like doing his hair "right" which would involve a lot of negative space drawing. :D
