R.I.P. PockyIt's really hard for me to tell you this but Pocky passed away about 12 hours ago, at 1 pm Friday Oct 25th. I lost my balance in the colony cage and accidentally step on him who was behind me. He didn't die instantly. I thought he wouldn't. He could still fly and when I put him on my hand he had started panting. When I brought him inside my house, he had a fit then died.R.I.P. Pocky1 year ago in Personal More Like This
I can't stop crying now. I feel so horrible and hate myself. I miss him so much I can't stop crying and calling his name. It's so hard to accept his death. I can still feel him everywhere. Everything in my house reminds me of him. I can't sleep on my bed because I usually snuggled with him there before we went to sleep. I can't believe he had to go away like this. I feel so guilty no matter what I try to think of, no matter what my husband said. I can't even cry as harder as I want because he will be mad.
I don't know if Pocky knew his time would be up soon. But this month he wanted to cuddle more with me. He usually a
Sketchbook Pro 6So most of you know that I'm a Sketchbook Pro user.Sketchbook Pro 62 years ago in Personal More Like This
A few days back, Autodesk released Sketchbook Pro 6, and I think this is the version that's going to make a lot of people who have YET to experience Sketchbook Pro in full, or haven't really given the past versions a chance, switch over to making it their digital drawing software of choice; heck, even their PAINTING software of choice.
We still have the cleverly-designed user interface, that makes it easy on the eyes and mind when we're brainstorming and sketching. With the handful of new tools introduced, we still have a clutter-free drawing environment, and man, there's some awesome tools this time around. I'll go down the list:
The Brush Library
The main brush toolbar itself has a click-and-drag function, allowing you to store all your often-used brushes in each of the "lanes". You then can click the button on the upper-right and then a fu

How to work as erotic artist in DAHi dear watchers and lovely people! How to work as erotic artist in DA9 months ago in Personal More Like This
As you know, RHEMORA was suspended for two weeks because of "resubmission of works that have been removed", so he'll be back soon, don't worry!
Due to the last journal that I shared with you, I noticed that there are at least another 10 erotic artists who were banned too. WHAT?! O.o
Yeah! So please be careful with your submissions and your comments and descriptions!
If you let me say something, I want so share some advices with you, so you have a little less troubles! (And trust me, I passed for this a lot of times, so I know what I'm talking about!) If you could spread the word to other erotic artists I'd appreciate it! <3
1. USE THE MATURE TAG IN YOUR MATURE SUBMISSIONS. DA is a safe place, yay! And there are children who can see your pic! So please please plase if you don't want troubles, this is the basic rule. If you have a naked woman or a naked guy, mark as mature.
2. DON'T SUBMIT TOO EXPLICIT WORKS! Even if you think that it's

“Have you heard of Patreon?”
“Why doesn’t your site have a Donate button?”
Put simply, I have this (evidently archaic) opinion that; if you want to make money, you have to do the work first. I don’t like the idea of taking money off people unless they get something for it immediately, not [insert timeframe here] down the line. It feels like a scam. That’s why I produce all those cheap digital comics: to finance my larger projects (and which is why I get pissed off when I find them being distributed freely online, because it slows everything down).
Even for large projects, like video-games that only have a niche audience and which big publishers won’t ever assist: I don’t see crowd funding as a particularly good way to go about getting production capital. I prefer the early release approach, such as that Mojang took with Minecraft.

Taking Care of Yourself
You know it's out there: the dreaded smell of unwashed bodies. At Sakura-Con, it's called H.O.B.O.: Horrible Otaku Body Odor. We here at Sakura-Con have declared the convention a "No H.O.B.O. Zone." To enforce that, we have provided a checklist that will help you keep that smell to an absolute minimum, and your con experience will be much more pleasant. Please remember to bring these things with you!
The Top Twenty Items Forgotten by Convention Attendees (a Checklist)
1. Personal towel. (We know the hotel provides them, but if you're sharing a room with several people, this guarantees you your very own towel. Also, if you plan on using a lot of makeup for a costume or dying your hair and use hotel towels, you will be charged a hefty fee for damaging hotel property. Please bring your own towels if you plan to do this.)
2. Shampoo and conditioner. (Again, the hotel provides these, but the bottles are quite small. Bringing your own ensures you
Hot Topic DA Art Theft...Maybe?Changed User AgreementsHot Topic DA Art Theft...Maybe?9 months ago in Personal More Like This
You know what I hate about companies? The fact that they can, effectively, take their user agreements and update them without your consent. Thus changing the rules to something you’ve already signed long long ago. I signed up for DA 10 years ago but I’ve never once been asked to agree to the frequently new Terms of Service Agreements they keep updating.
Recently it’s been called to our attention that now DA can license your work, even fanart, off to other companies for a profit. DA gets licensing money, the product makers get money off the merch they sell... but the artist gets nothing. Worse yet, DA doesn’t even need to ask you for permission to do so.
This recently came to our attention in a big way when DA user :iconrismo: discovered that his Adventure Time fanart was being sold on Hot Topic without his knowledge. http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Adventure+Time+In+The+Rain+T-Shirt-10171581.jsp

This is one of the biggest problems people have when trying to start their comic. They have this fabricated notion that the story and/or art have to be the perfect before you can even start. Well, I have news for you... that's not how it works.
All of your favorite comics, books, movies, and video games did not start out the way they ended up being published. The creator wrote down their idea. Then revised it, changed it, came up with new ideas half way through until what was produced simply resembled the original idea. It was perfected through its creation, not prior to it. This is especially true with comic books. Comic book series, especially long running series, go through a long and slow change as the creator(s) figure out who the characters are and how they live, and even what they look like. And the more they work on their comic, the better it gets. (especially art.)
The two examples I love giving i

Publisher ripped them off
Big corporation used their artwork without permission (that's usually by accident because of an outsource company broke the rule etc)

Who knows when you're going to hit the zeitgeist, and suddenly your world changes in way you could never predict?
I was 20 years old and messing up everything in a monumental way. I'd had my heart broken, failed to stay focused on work, and run up a ton of debts. I was drinking Falstaffian quantities, and doing pretty much all I could to avoid facing into my own reality. My electricity was cut off, then my phone. Instead of collecting rent from my lodger I got drunk with him on a fairly nightly basis.
I needed to face it - I was a mess.
I returned to London aged 21 with a ten pound note in my pocket and a dear friend prepared to put me up while I got back on my feet. Brian West was a cartoonist and writer then, and together we tried numerous things to bring in money and put beer and food in our bellies. We spent our weekends getting up at 4.30am to secure a slot at Campden Market where we drew caricatures. We planned magical comedy skits f

A picture is worth a thousand words from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_picture_is_worth_a_thousand_words
The adage "A picture is worth a thousand words" refers to the notion that a complex idea can be conveyed with just a single still image. The good writers can describe complex concepts understandable to the readers. The good artists can draw few pictures to illustrate thousand words of complex descriptions. The good videographer can show of thousand of complex pictures in many angles of multi-media. The great creators (writers/artists) make great ideas easy to understand for the rest of us.

I know i'm not a really good person because I don't reply to all the comments and only draw stuff I want to draw most of the time, but I want to thank all who have been kind and gave lots of support.
Therefore, I thought I'd do a small raffle. The prize will be a pixel doll + food something like this:
Unfortunately, since i'm still busy with lots of commissions and IRL events, there will be only 1 lucky winner.
Yeah it's small, but I want to show so

Over the years I have produced a range of tutorials on artistic use of the computer. Most of them concerns rather general concepts and can hopefully give something regardless of which program you are using or even be of some interest for traditional, non-digital artists. Some examples of my art can be found in the gallery.
That said, to get the most out of these you should know that I mainly use the open-source image manipulation program GIMP. I also work a lot with the painter program MyPaint. These are both very powerful programs capable of great artistic expression. Being open-source programs, they are both legally free to download and use without any cost. They exist for many platforms, including Linux, Mac and Windows, so they are worth trying out if you haven't already.
The tutorials listed below tend are (ver

my stand against atheismNo, I'm not going to argue about the existence of God. my issue is atheist's constant attempts to tarnish and disrespect religion. I'm normally not offended with their disbelief, but it is their blaspheme that I could not tolerate. For example: "Atheist: proud to be right" I don't believe in your fake gods and fairytale books. You have problem with that? "Science adjusts it's views based on whats observed, faith is the denial of those observations so that faith can be preserved." ~ 'Storm' by Tim Minchin" and several others I do not wish to bring up. First of all, you cannot prove that you are correct, to therefore, you have no right. People from religion say that we are right, not because it is an established fact, but because we believe we are right, we are right to ourselves. and as for you, what is your proof that God does not exist? Scientific explanation on how things began and space exploration, remember that the concept of God is not observable with the use of man's concept.my stand against atheism3 years ago in Personal More Like This

TRUTH BOMB#1: The odds are against you making a living as a professional artist
Explanation: Think of how many comic books there are....a lot right? Now think about how many comic artists there are on just DeviantArt, let alone around the world. The number of comic books seems a lot smaller, doesn't it? That doesn't mean to stop trying if that TRULY is your dream. However, keep in mind that industry is just like any other job...while you may enjoy drawing or art in general, that can definitely get negated when you are drawing stuff that you have no interest in drawing. So let's say you want to be a comic book artist, you aren't going to be put on Superman or Batman. Not
The Artist Behind The Lexus IS DesignThe Artist Behind The Lexus IS Design1 year ago in Official deviantART Contests More Like This
Robert Evans (PSAS), a longtime member of the deviantART community, has succeeded in making a radical artistic statement about turning artists' visions into actual realities.
Robert's pathway to actualization of his vision was facilitated by forward-thinking executives at Lexus who reached out to the creative cutting edge, to deviantART artists, for new revolutionary design ideas for the production of their 2014 Lexus IS. The Lexus IS Design Contest was born and dA's Robert Evans has come away with the prize: experiencing having his personal artistic conceptualization of how an automobile should look and roll become a real world reality. As Grand Prize Winner, the new Lexus built to Robert's design was debuted at the SEMA auto show in Las Vegas before 60,000 US and international buyers and then featured at the Los Angeles Auto Show before 12,000 industry decision-makers and 4,000 media correspondents from 50 countries.
