The Bourne Ultimatum and Ocean's 13 was just on...soooo I guess it inspired me to draw Matt?
This is about 5x5 inches (13x13cm) and took me about 3 hours tonight. I used B for the dark foundation, then built 2B 4B on top of that, then back to 2B and H to blend it as dark as I could get it.
PS - I have had a couple comments about me not getting the black areas as dark as I used to. Let me say, I never got any perfectly black, and a camera photo hides the micro holes that you can see. Now that I'm using a scanner, it shows everything so much clearer. It shows details, but imperfections too
This is from Oceans Twelve. I thought about trying to draw it without the cup, but decided to include it Size: 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 (12x12cm) Time: about 7 hours Medium: Staedtler Pencils H,HB,F,B,2B,3B,5B on Strathmore Bristol smooth 300 series paper
My personal Critique: The finger, mouth, hair and ear suck, ha!
My fav Kevin Spacey movie is probably "Pay it Forward".
Yeah I know, the shirt sucks. It was out of focus in the photo and I did not feel like spending any more time on this one. The day I can give 100% all the way through a drawing is the day I will produce my best work
This 400 pixel wide view (enlarged) is the EXACT size of the original drawing.
Loved this serious look from a normally goofy guy!! It offered lots of contrast and a different look for him!! Oh and yes, I realize his right eye is lighter that his left. I didn't notice it until after I spray sealed it ha!
Not a Rambo freak or anything like that, ha! I just ran across this a while back, and saved it b/c I liked the range of contrast. It's pretty small, about 4.5x5 inches (11x13cm)
I couldn't really tell what was going on in the photo in his hand area? So I did the best I could.
I've been drawing on Strathmore Bristol Smooth, but their 400 series vs the 300 series, which is thicker. I think the 400 thinner paper is a little harder to get perfectly black areas? Maybe b/c it's thinner and the tooth is harder to crush? Or maybe it crushes too much? Who knows, just a thought...
