And we will sigh the nights and days away,
We won't believe anything they say.
Pick all the wild flowers, read some books,
And never give them a second look.
With sheilds of friendship and emotion,
We know that we're more than invincible,
Staying together forever, wasnt that
Always the one main principle?
I'm sorry I cant protect you forever,
But you know so long as we're together,
We'll smile for hours, you'll laugh with me,
Though our time is coming to an end.

Just a trifle.

If you think youre ever bound
To where theres no-one else to help,
When youre sure you wont be found,
Ill keep on searching for you.
When you know youll never win,
If you say youd rather die,
If you feel like giving in,
If your energys drained dry,
Ill keep on fighting for you.
If you arent able to cope
With being optimistic on your own,
When youve given up all hope
On any dreams youd ever known,
Ill keep on hoping for you.
If you no longer care bout anything,
When youre being left behind,
If you try to let go of everything
When you feel time rushing by,
Ill keep on holding on to you.
When the rain is pouring down,
And your face is streaked with tears,
When your world is crumbling all around,
If youre succumbing to all your fears,
Ill keep on being there for you.

I remember when
I used to play connect the dots
With your beauty marks and
I could make picture perfect sheet music
Audible to those on the other side of sanity
I read your voice's musical notes
With the composers eye, and
Beethoven's ear and
For the very first time I heard my song.
The melody that sung me from oblivion;
Mental images of finest tunes
Are what I've been nodding my head to lately,
And every now and then
I find the amiable notes in my seldom plucked heart strings -
Out of tune from misuse
But either way, it doesn't matter
You refuse to learn how to play.
At least, not with me.

I know I must be crazy.
This is ridiculous, to the point of patheticality, insanity, lovedoesn'texist,
I might as well believe in the Easter bunny;
You're not going to change.
I know I'll keep coming back.
Collecting scars like stamps,
Hoarding them like I do my death-wishes.
I know I've deviated from innocent curiosity
To a secretly raging masochistic wannabe;
I'll show my desperately flailing failing faltering self,
Once I've really truly realised you're not going to change.
I know I'll keep coming back.
I know you'll attempt to understand,
But I hate to see you waste energy on the unimportant.
Keep on preaching; tell me I'm not remarkably flawed,
I might as well believe in self-worth. Self-preservation.
Self-preservation? Are you kidding? I might as well believe in love...

You and I both find gratitude in the dimming refraction,
And we're both insane at times, delirious at best,
I remember nights we'd watch the sky
with curiosity in wandering eyes,
But the burst of clarification,
Never settles well in our stomachs
Nor our disguises
When we experience emotional needs,
We scatter to opposite ends,
Writhing in anticipation over this passion that never bends
Now were both on separate plains,
Prancing around with desires for a new face, a new taste,
And someone new's attention,
Just, (and) maybe,
One day you and I would be at arm's length
And no longer distracted by the width of our blindsides.

Falling on my upturned face
I lie outside and ignore my pain
Sweeping my mind of any trace
Of thoughts I'd rather not face
Soaked through to the bone
Shivering in the cold
Still I'm not going home
Not until I'm told
That the damage done to my battered soul
Can be repaired; but that wont be tonight
Please cleanse me, now, wash away my fears
Cold and wet mingling with my tears
The rain keeps calling for me to stay
My spirits keep falling further away
Far deeper down then what they
Have ever fallen, before tonight
The rain pounds harder as thunder roars
Yet there is still nothing that I want more
Than to lie here, in the wet, in the cold,
In the rain
Just for tonight

10 reasons Religion is Immoral1) You can't question faith.10 reasons Religion is Immoral4 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
The religious texts are believed despite mountains of evidence against them- If they were anything other than 'Holy' they would be sitting next to Harry Potter and Twilight right now. 'Because God said so' or 'Because I have faith' does not prove anything, anymore than me believing in Dragons because I saw one on a Welsh Flag and my flatmate told me the DO exist. It is also completely illogical for a society which relies in science to have such an attitude, I know enough from my boring statistics work that you need a LOT of evidence just to say 'this does not disprove the hypothesis'. But if I say 'you don't get healed by magic water' I'm ganna go to hell.
2) It stands in the way of scientific discoveries and evidence.
Religion prevents real science from being developed and understood by a significant amount of society, such as Geneses being taught in schools as fact, and Darwin being given as much regard as a crazy homeless man shouting in the street.

You look down on others
what makes you so great?
You worship a false entity
Is that what makes you greater than me?
I see people all around blinded by pain
When will they open their eyes
and feel the rain?
All that is real is shunned
I know this for i am one
You dont like me because i do not agree
I do not push things on you
Do you not see?
I wish to live my life
Happy and carefree
Your dreams of an oasis do not appeal
You cannot see the way i feel
I am frustrated by your ignorance
I guess it truly is as they say
It is truly blissful not to know your fate
You hide the truth from yourself
Youve been brainwashed your whole life
Putting reality on a shelf
Yet you take these truths
without one hinderance in your "righteous" strife

Having everyone and their mother stick preconceived notions in your face really makes you go crazy inside, or at least it did me.
Being Atheist doesn't mean I'm a "devil worshiper" or that I am a bad person.
I actually am a good person.
That's another thing America puts in your heads.
"Good Christian Girl, Good Catholic Girl"
There's no such thing as
"Good Atheist Girl"
Which I think is very dumb!
I am a good person. I care about others, I respect people, I love to laugh and make other people laugh, I love children, and helping people.
Just because I cannot identify myself with a religion doesn't mean I'm a bad person.
I in fact think the world would be SO much better off without religion.
Religion is the root of SO many problems.
So many wars are started over religion differences.
So many fights between people, community's, country's.

Problems with ChristianityINTROProblems with Christianity9 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
Out of all of the religions out there, Christianity is one of the most (if not the most) powerful. It has over a billion followers worldwide.
I chose to write this on Christianity not to single it out, but because it is the most common religion, especially in the Western world. Whether you are atheist, a devout catholic, a member of any other religion, confused as to your own stand on the issue, or a believer who does not belong to any church, please read the following with an open mind.
Christians preach that you should treat your neighbour as you would like to be treated. Somehow, I don't think that Christians would like to be ostracized from society and denied certain rights. Yet the Church is highly opposed to gay marriages. Though currently the Church isn't, the Bible is blatantly sexist and racist. But people like to ignore what the parts of the Bible they don't like. That must be why eating shrimp and lobster is not considered a sin, though the Bible clearly stat
