Presenting "The Tale of the Raven" photoshoot, which was a conceptual collaboration with Kevin Stewart and Brian Boling.

Set in a beautiful park in downtown Orlando, we explored the story of a girl, dressed for a night out, who gets lost (in the woods so to speak) and encounters a raven. A magical raven. With it's song, the bird enchants the girl and consumes her. Possess her. Becomes her...

When I was putting together the outfit for this shoot, I tried to envision what a human raven would look like. The bird has a distinct strong look with silky jet black feathers and a sleek and beautiful silhouette.
My outfit is put together from parts of my Clover cosplay, vintage pieces and a corset from my favorite lingerie line, Agent Provocateur. I styled this look specifically to enhance the female form as much as possible, to exude sexuality and sensuality. I also wore bright blue contacts to make my eyes look more alien and bird-like.

I made three collages from the photos of the shoot, and this is the LAST of them. See the first two for a complete tale :)

This is the first part of the shoot - before the transformation. We shot in Black and White instead of color, as the real world is as dull as Black and White compared to the vivid colors of a fantasy world ^_~.

Edit: Despite multiple comments clearly missing the point of this photoshoot, I will not spell it out till the other images are posted. But FYI, through out my modeling and costume making history you will see galleries of photos that tell a story, have a concept behind it. This is one of such....
HINT: My eyes are... bird... like....

Location: British Museum, London

After shooting at the Grand Cosplay Ball last year with Pat Lyttle, he and I have been talking about doing a fashion shoot, so when I returned to London this time, we met up at the British Museum and took advantage of the stunning architecture within.

In a perfect world I would have wanted to shoot outdoors as I just adore the buildings, streets and alleys there. But it was absolutely freezing and we had to opt for an indoor location. I've visited the British Museum twice over 10 years ago and have always loved this museum. It is gigantic and houses some of the world's most precious artifacts.
We had to be semi-sneaky about our shoot, and it was a difficult one due to the insane amount of tourists and visitors present that day. All of these photos had to be snapped between long waits for the background to clear of people lol.

As usual, I did my hair/makeup and put together the outfit. Pat provided the lovely heels! I also wonder what he did to make my skin all glowing in these pics!

I hosted a Lip Service fashion show over New Year's and had the opportunity to get a couple of outfits. I mainly wanted them for clubbing (love going to the Castle in Tampa) but when Benny Lee and I talked about doing a first photoshoot together, I decided to pull out this ensemble for a fun Cyber Samurai chick look. It was an excuse to play with kabuki-inspired makeup (see next Deviation for close-up).

I think this image could be a fun stock photo for creative artists.

I was looking through my galleries for Halloween costume ideas and remembered that I made this PVC Kimono 5 years ago!
I was invited to perform at a goth industrial club in Atlanta on New Year's Eve and the theme was Asian for the night. I had a ton of black PVC vinyl and red brocade at home so I designed and made this Kimono. The underbust corset replacing a traditional Obi was also already around, so I altered it and added the tassles and strings.

This is a simple but cute outfit that I have used for multiple promotions and events. At least 4 different models have worn this at one point. I love kimono sleeves and their double function as giant pockets.

This set was shot in a library inside a condo complex - because of the semi-public nature of the location I thought the outfit might be a tad risque, but Kevin managed through his high quality work to make this theme look sexy but not overly naughty. I really love some of the images and am really glad we were able to use this location!

Disclaimer: This is the only costume in my costuming gallery that I DID NOT make.

I was asked by Jamin of LeiasMetalBikini.com [link] to join the annual Slave Leia gathering at San Diego Comic Con because they needed a first time metal bikini wearer to talk about the experience for the Canadian TV Show "Ed The Sock". I was honored that Jamin approached me for that Feature! He loaned a beautiful costume to me for one day and I had a good time doing the gathering as well as posing for photos with Jabba The Hut! As a long-time Star Wars fan I wanted to make sure I was in good enough shape to pull off the bikini, and I also made Leia's gold earrings to complete the outfit.

You can see me in this footage G4 took at Comic Con! [link]

I also got filmed by the Tonight Show and was the only Slave Leia that year to make it into the actual Comic Con coverage. Random lol.

*PS - sorry for the snap shots. There were so many people around the Gentle Giant booth that we couldn't possibly get good photos.
