The cascade of evil, the torrents of war.

Black ash flew through the sky as a battle raged over the vast expanse that was the ruins of Warfang. Several dragons were fighting against an innumerable horde of orcs, while a small bright disk sprang into existence behind them. At the frontlines, a purple dragon fought for his life as he slowly moved backwards towards the end of the tunnel he had just created.
"Cynder, get to the portal! I'll hold him till you all get clear, and then I'll be right behind you!" Spyro shouted, throwing himself at one of the massive orcs standing in front of him, club raised high.

Spyro was about to pounce when the deer bolted, and Spyro gave chase, panting hard. All of a sudden, a dark shadow jumped up from the grass, the long, sleek body almost merging with the night sky as Cynder grabbed hold of the doe's neck and gave a swift twist. There was a loud sickening snap, and the female went down.

"Stand still ugly purple lizard! STAND STILL!!"
Hollering laughter filled the garden where Spyro and Gnasty Gnorc were once again duking it out. Spyro fell to the ground, pounding the grass with his paw and turning red in the face as he laughed. Had Gnasty been smarter, he might've used this chance to club Spyro, but he just stood there wondering what was so funny.
"So-ho So I'm ugly now?!" Spyro laughed. "Who's the one that broke the garden mirror when he passed it?"
The lumbering green Gnorc roared and threw his club at Spyro, and the purple dragon jumped to the side and spat a fireball at the hideous green giant, and then finally beat him with a solid skull-bash.
"I'll be back and I will KILL you!!" Gnasty yelled, and fell over and disappeared in a puff of small sparks and smoke. The gems he'd been carrying appeared on the ground, and Spyro whistled a little tune to himself as he picked them up and

It was the day after Malefors defeat and the morning was dawning in the valley of Avalar. In a small cave along the ridge of the valley, two dragons were sleeping.
Spyro was the first one to awaken. He looked around the cave where they had spent the night. Cynder was lying next to him. Slowly he, to not wake her, he walked out of the cave and looked over the valley of Avalar. He stretched and watched as the sun rose from behind the mountains on the other side of the valley.
"Good morning, Spyro" sounded a voice behind him, Cynder had awakened and walked up to stand beside him.
"Morning Cynder, slept well?"
"Like a log, but how couldn't I after yesterday?" she answered "I can hardly believe it's over."
"Me neither. Yesterday seems so long ago, like it was all a dream" Spyro said.
They stood for a few minutes, none of them saying anything.
"Well we better head back to Warfang, Sparx and the guardians will want to know that we are alive" said Spy

"Oh my head..." Spyro said, rubbing his temples as sunset approached...
"You shouldn't have pushed yourself so hard." Cynder said, placing the back of her paw against his brow, feeling his temperature. His body was wracked with shivers.
The two had been trying to recover ever since they had escaped from the core of the planet as it was reforming. Now they lay upon the coast of a small island. The place was deserted, Cynder had made sure of that. Now all was quiet as the sun made it's final descent of the day, and the waves beat against the distant shore. The two had no clue where they were.
"Do you think they're all gone?" Spyro asked, as he looked out over the curving planet. Parts were still seen in the sky, reforming the crust.
"Well we haven't seen any of Malefor's army since we saved the planet so my guess would be yes." She said quietly, "Spyro, do you have any idea how many have died?"

Spyro spotted a camp fire ahead, and slowed to a crawl, his retracted claws and soft pads making no noise in the underbrush. The men wore sullen expressions as they looked into the flames, as did the two cheetahs and the lone dragon sitting there. The Condemned Ch 144 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Finally as they edged around towards the sea, Spyro turned his eyes away and crept towards the gentle roar of the waves. When they were a safe distance away, Spyro answered Cynder with what was halfway between a mumble and a low growl.
"I don't either, but we've no choice. I want to know why Malefor left the moon. I know he knows that we know that he's gone."
"What?" Frost hissed behind him. Nova chuckled behind her.

Ezio could see light ahead. His lungs were burning with how long he had actually been underwater. Yes his functions had slowed down, and the fact that he was a dragon meant extended breathing time.
That still didn't keep his head from going light, or his lungs screaming at him that they needed air.
Just a little further.
He felt something knock his elbow and look over to find an unconscious Kali hovering by him, bubbles slowly rising form her mouth. Her time had run out, and she needed air now. He looked around and found Frost close by as well in a similar condition. He grabbed the two and kicked as hard as he could, propelling himself towards the surface. He tried using his elements, but his energy was running low, and he could do little except let the pressure push him forwards, and kick with all his might. Finally, he felt his head breach the surface.

She sat down and sighed. "I don't know...there's so much going on in my head...but for some reason all I can think about is the Ape Lord."
"Yeah...I don't get it. Ever since I heard he was heading to speak with Ripto, he's been on my mind more and more, and now it's all I can think about."
