Mirrorland Chapter 1I was standing in front of a mirror that seemed oddly familiar to me... Weird... And in the mirror was an image so beautiful, so surreal, I could only stare at it in amazement and bewilderment.Mirrorland Chapter 14 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
A deep, husky voice called to me from the gigantic black castle that sat in the top right hand corner. It said, no it beckoned, "Nadelia... Come to me my sweet..." I had never heard a voice as enticing as this one before, so naturally I eagerly pressed both of my hands against the glass surface, surprised to find it rather warm instead of cold.
When I experimentally pressed my body against it, the warmth passed right through my night gown and warmed me to my core. In a burst of what I think were sparks, I was suddenly sucked into the miraculous image.
I landed with a soft thud! on a black marble floor, and as I gazed around I realized I was in the castle's ballroom.
Out of the corner of my eye, I swear I saw a tall, long haired figure. When

As soon as it was open, he thrust me inside, making my back hit something hard. A wall, I think. I blushed when he closed the door, but then I realized who he meant when he had said 'they' when two bearlike shadows passed by the door's window; he had meant the two bear brothers.
They paused in front of our door, but when they decided that no one was in here, and left, I sent a silent 'thank you' to the gods.
After about a few minutes of awkward silence, Luke's finger slid down from my lips and stopped under my chin, tilting my head upwards to meet his soft and caring gaze. He bent and kissed my forehead lightly, making me blush.
"Are we really going to pass by Camp, Luke?" I asked him quietly, smiling when he nodded.
Mirrorland PrologueA little girl, no older than four and a half, watched in awe as the giant, mahogany wood mirror in front of her glowed. Its glass surface started rippling, and soon it was reflecting something other than the dusty attic space behind her. The she saw now was full of a beauty that seemed dark and mysterious. There were vast fields full of nothing but roses of all different colors, a river that glistened red and snaked through valleys filled with villages, and up in the corner sat a marvelous castle that looked as dark as the starless night sky above the landscape. The only thing in the sky was the amber colored sun.Mirrorland Prologue4 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The castle glistened under the sun, and the little girl swear she heard what sounded like a little boy's voice coming from the castle say, "Come, girl. Come and play with me..."
She was curious and brave enough to reach out and touch the wondrous image, but as she did a cold chill ran through her body, which made her scre

You build me up just to break me down,
build me up to break me down.
You're breaking through to my inner wall,
inch by inch, brick by brick 'til there's nothing more.
With your horrible words of hate,
you're busting open my mental gate.
But honey I'm sorry that you think you're winning, cause you're not!

I'm sick and tired of hearing that I don't do anything right; I'm sick and tired of being told that nothing I do in my life is right. I'm sick and tired of being told what I'm not and I wish that you would just tell me what I am. So mom, please, just tell me about all the things I do right in my life.

You look around you, you look at your surroundings and see nothing but color. You begin to wonder, "What would the world be like if there were no colors." There are many answers to that question, but the one I use to answer it is a simple one when you think about it; "If the world was drained of color, everything would be black and gray. A boring, lifeless world that would be." I add. You look at me as if I were nuts, but I just smile at you and leave you staring blankly in the direction I left in.

I advert your gaze, and you walk right past me, and you pay no mind to me. I think of insulting you, just to annoy you. But then my mind wonders else where as I put my chapped lips to the silver metal facet of the water fountain. My mind wanders all over the place, and I start to think; we are only shadows of our lives; we never truly are or will be. We are lives' shadows, and we live for the now, but the now can always be a tomorrow. And as I wipe my wet mouth on my sleeve, I think of how nice it would be if you and I had never met.

Nobody Knows who I really am,
and nobody knows my life.
Nobody knows how much I've been through,
but no one seems to care.
Nobody knows what it's like to be me,
and nobody cares to know.
Every time somebody looks at me,
they only see who I'm pretending to be; somebody bored and tired.
But I'm actually someone greater than that;
I'm a person of smarts and will.
And I'm proud to be me,
even if nobody knows.

I forced myself to climb the steps to the attic, which was where the Oracle was held, but I couldn't stop myself from purposely moving slow.
As soon as I reached the top, I opened the door very slow-like, anticipating the moment when the familiar reptilian smell that the Big House's attic held hit me. When the door was finally completely, I stepped inside, and the familiar reptilian scent hit me as I noticed the mirror, the one Chiron had said was given to him to give to me, hiding among all of the old Greek hero battle junk, its brass frame decorated with various gemstones, making it look like it definitely didn't belong there.
I stepped up to it, my eyes widening when I saw what was reflected in the mirror. There was blood all over me, even in my hair, my eyes were a blazing shade of red, and my orange Camp Half-Blood t-shirt had three rip marks in the middle of my chest.

Silence is the worst kind of sound there is. I could suffer in it, if that was possible. Silence is also the loudest noise there is. It brings with it a distinct feeling nobody wants to feel; awkwardness. Awkwardness lingers in the air we breathe, it feeds off of the silence we create, and it loves to see us suffer in its atmosphere.

Come and hear the song of the dead,
the melody that means the dreaded end.
Ghosts are the singers of this haunting tune,
but the wind is the carrier of this hated tune.
It may seem like a time for mourning,
but death itself is a time for loving.

Inside of my head are things no one should think,

but the deeper you go, the brighter they become.

What I Have Learned
I've learned that erasers are only for erasing words, not actions. I've learned that you can't really take back something you've done or said to someone that made them hurt. I have learned that when you want something for someone else, you end up only wanting it for yourself. I've learned that love doesn't make the world go 'round, but that hate, cruelty, and violence does. I have learned that the finest things in life are found in the simplest of places. I've learned that money isn't enough, and that love is what you need. I have learned that it's not enough to want, but it is enough to need. And I have learned that no matter how far away a couple maybe from each other, they can still love each other with all their hearts.

instead I'm the always overlooked black.

You scream a fake scream, but no one know's why you're screaming. I tell you to quit your screaming. I say you're only screaming because you want some attention, and I pity you for this. You say you want me to be the one that makes you quit your screaming. Instead of asking you why, I shake my head and walk off, leaving you to continue your fake screams. I think of what you really wanted, and it sends a shiver up my spine. The only thing you wanted was my body, and you wanted me to be the one that was screaming the real screams while you played with me as if I were a toy.

Ever found yourself walking with your head hung low, just so you don't have to make eye contact with anyone? What about looking at the same tables that you always look at when it's lunch time? Have you ever found yourself glancing up from time to time so you can see if someone's looking at you? Did you ever stop to think how nice it would be to hide in the shadows or hide in the crowds? Ever found yourself waiting for somebody to come, but they don't? Finally, ever found yourself wishing you weren't out-of-the-loop? If you answered 'yes' to one or more of these questions, you're probably one of us. Before you ask, the 'us' I speak of are the people like me. The ones who sit at the more empty side of the table at lunch, waiting for some person to slide into the seat next to you, one you save just for them. People who know they screwed up big time in the past and feel that they're
