Doctor Who - The Pandorica. Based on the British Sci Fi show. Featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor. The drawing also features his companions - Amy Pond, Rory Williams, and River Song, along with two of his enemies, a Dalek and a Cyberman. I'm actually a big Doctor Who fan and really enjoyed drawing this. Size is A3 (420mm x297mm). I used HB and 2B 5mm mechanical pencils, HB 7mm mechanical pencil, various different grades of pencil ranging from 2H – 5B, blending stumps, tissues, kneaded & normal erasers.
(NO SPOILERS in this description, but there could be spoilers in the comments below. I can't guarantee your safety.)
I've been meaning to do a portrait of River for AGES (literally since Silence in the Library), and I felt this pose from Day of the Moon was sufficiently bad-ass to really express her character. Her awesome, awesome character.
Oh, and I would NOT like this to be a forum for how much you despise the lovely Miss Song. Comments about the art please.
About 3 hours of work, and lots of fun colouring in Photoshop after drawing it traditionally on white paper with a 4B pencil.
I'm not really a Doctor Who fan to be honest, but i thought if i was going to do a Who drawing, i would have to draw the above composition. So what the hell, i just drew it for the Eclectic Mick blog a few weeks ago ([link]) rather than forget a neat gag.
The drawing isn't all that impressive, it's the composition that makes it really. It was bothering me how completely bare the lower half of the image was, but to add detail there would defeat the whole point of the image, so i compromised by adding some greywash splatter to break it up a bit.
I wanted to call it What Have You Got for Me This Time Old Girl?, but I didn't have room. D:
I still adore Mr. Tennant and simply had to draw him as our wonderful planet-hopping Doctor just once more. Alright maybe a few more times. Oh who'm I kidding? I'll never stop drawing that beautiful bastard.
And I put 'Doctor Who' in the title now to make search results work better, even though I hate doing it. Bleh.
Edit: Made it a bit darker and moodier in Photoshop. EDIT: redid the highlights in Corel Painter 12 instead of Photoshop. Looks like pencil now. Much better. Much happier with it.
Ok, so this is The Doctor as in from Doctor Who and yes, it is indeed David Tennant.

I would like to note the wonderful artist naturalshocks as I used her drawing of the doctor as inspiration and I probably relied on her drawing too much as reference for the shading, though I was using the original image too.
Thank you for the advice and for letting me use your wonderful artwork as a reference.
BWAAAH. CAN'T STOP DRAWING. Srsly, I'm freaking myself out and my eyes feel like they're going to fall out of my head. @_@
Anyway, this is my favourite bit of the End of Time. One of the very, very few good bits. Also one of the only scenes that John actually got to ACT. It was so frustrating watching him fly around, eat tramps and cackle for about two hours that I wanted to scream. Jesus Russell, why the hell did you bring Simm back if you weren't going to use his mad acting skills?! BWARGARBLE!
ANYWAY, favourite scene in part two. Hands down. By the end of it all though, I felt WAY more sorry for the Master than the Doctor. I mean, the Master went out in the most BAD ASS way while not whining about it, and the Doctor had a 20 minute wussy sob-fest because he might be a bit different when he GETS TO KEEP BEING ALIVE.
Don't get me wrong though, I loved his that's-not-fair rant. Really good acting there. Srsly.
