'Doctor Who': 15 facts you probably didn't knowWho better to reveal the secrets of Doctor Who than an actual doctor? Meet Doctor Who expert Dr. Piers D. Britton. He might sound a Doctor Who expert we just totally made up, but he’s a real person who wrote a book on Doctor Who titled TARDISbound and teaches a class on the iconic show at the University of Redlands in California (if you’re a hardcore Doctor Who fan who had to sit through dull college electives, you’re probably feeling a surge of envy for Redlands students right now). With Doctor Who‘s eagerly awaited 50th Anniversary special “Day of the Doctor” set to be unveiled tomorrow on BBC America (2:50 p.m. ET), Dr. Britton reveals 15 strange and fascinating Doctor Who facts that you probably did not know.'Doctor Who': 15 facts you probably didn't know2 years ago in Personal More Like This
– Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat was initially opposed to Matt Smith’s wish to wear his now-iconic bow tie.

FAQ: A Journal of Impossible ThingsI keep getting the same questions from both Doctor Who fans and those who have no idea what's going on, so I thought I'd write a journal entry about this project. It's a bit silly to write a separate FAQ section for this, but I really need a place to link back to whenever I'm asked something about this series of drawings.FAQ: A Journal of Impossible Things5 years ago in Personal More Like This
WHAT'S A JOURNAL OF IMPOSSIBLE THINGS?
It's a dream journal featured in the Doctor Who episodes Human Nature (3x08) and The Family of Blood (3x09). In this two-parter, the Doctor rewrote his biology and became human in order to hide from the Family of Blood. The Doctor's human persona John Smith kept a journal where he wrote down and drew things he saw in his dreams, which were actually memories of his adventures as the Doctor.
The original prop journal was created by artist Kellyanne Walker and the text was provided by Paul Cornell.
SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?
My aim is to draw my own version of the Journal. I intend to draw all

Adam Adamowicz has done some of my favorite concept art (and as far as to the actual in-game locations/models) ever contributed to gaming. He helped shaped some of the most personally resonant character and worlds designs I've had the pleasure of interacting with. Part of Bethesda's title of being one of, if not THE greatest developers of open world RPGs comes through in their ability to seamlessly cast the player into a believeable, living, and beautiful world, be it bleak and lonely or lush and vibrant; Adam's work was a major contribution to this title.
Not only was he a creator of work for all to adore, but he was, and is, a personal influence to me with his magnificent work on Fallout 3 as a standout of classic pulp science fiction clashed with a gritty, detailed, and modern practicality; a truly brilliant and stylish concept brought into the game with ease and accepted by all with overwh
5th Doctor:Cricket/Tegan(The last Doctor from the golden age but hey 5th doctor was the handsome-est Doctor in the classics while Tom Baker/4th is probably the silliest you've ever seen. Celery, cricket, Tegan and a excellent Doctor from the classic. Nicely done, peter Davidson, hopefully we'll see almost every Doctor for the 5th decade anniversary, sadly the first 3 has passed away in the 70 and 80's. That's the trouble with regeneration. You quite never know what you're going to get.
An apple a day keeps the... Ah, never mind.
There's always something to look at if you open your eyes!
For some people, small, beautiful events are what life is all about!
Brave heart, Tegan.
Last but least... Don't skip 5th! (I wonder how on earth did the library was able to keep 5th Doctor adventure books in here for 30 years? Where the hell did the DVDs go?!)
The Day of the DoctorSo I just had the best day of my life because it was the 50th anniversary today of the best show in the universe. The Day of the Doctor2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Even though I only became a fan back in 2010 when I first started watching it, it's become so important to me that it's hard to even think what I'd do without it. So of course I had to celebrate this special occasion with style. I stayed up until 3:00 a.m. decorating and baking and cooking, but my Doctor Who party was pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. Plus my two companions (best friends) were there to celebrate with me. We had Sonic Screwdriver drinks, Dalek Cupcakes, fish fingers and Custard, Jammy Dodgers, Adipose Marshmallows, and of course bananas, because you should always bring a banana to a party.
We watched the docudrama about the origin and making of Doctor Who back in 1963 and it was brilliant. It was so cool to see how they did it and many a tear was shed. It was just so wonderful and sad and awesome....
And don't even get me started on the 50th

The Ever Evolving Icon
What is it about a fictional character first introduced to the public in Great Britain in 1887 that has kept him being reincarnated, with generationally-correct upgrades, over and over again in film and on television? Who is this literary hero whose portrayal over the past century by such past masters as Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett to today’s vanguard talents Robert Downey, Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch has inspired such a continuing outpouring of fan appreciation?

I want to be a companion.
In your TARDIS, I see you fly,
Higher and higher into the sky.
Higher than I've ever been,
If only I could see, what you've seen.
I wish you'd come and find me,
To let me keep you company.
We'd go on adventures through time and space,
I'd really love to to leave this place.
There's only so much here that I can do,
I want to go on an adventure with you.
To leave the Earth and go to other places,
And see lots and lots of different faces.
An awful lot of running away from Daleks,
Trying not to blink at Weeping Angels,
Avoiding getting deleted by Cybermen,
I'll hop in to the TARDIS and then it all happens again!
I want to be a companion!
Doing all those things seems like fun.
He holds his hand out and it's all agreed,
I'll help The Doctor in times of need.
I grab his hand and we're off on our way,
Onward to different planets to save the day!

I love humans. Always seeing patterns in things that aren't there.
The universe hangs by such a delicate thread of points, it's useless to meddle with it. Unless, like me, you're a Time Lord. -8th
Sadly he's not our most beloved Doctor, the rest of his years after the 1996 movies in on comics and audio plays. But hey! there's still time to catch it up!
One more I did forgot to mention that he did stole clothes from the hospital like 3rd and 11th Doctor, some how 3rd ended up in one was after his forced regeneration.

Someone has posted some of her art on their Facebook page, uncredited, and argues that he doesn't have to take it down because anything on the internet is fair game. Trouble is, he keeps replying to her pleas in French and she really can't convince this guy to budge. French might just be the key to this guy getting it.
More details (and probably more accurate ones) on her front page's journal.

Mmm I wonder…Aha! - 6th Doctor :iconsixthdoctorplz:
"And there we have the Sixth Doctor in a nutshell. Curious, engaged, and keen to show off his superior knowledge to anyone who will listen. And I'm only including this because the catchphrase of everyone who ever laid eyes on him ever ("OW MY POOR INJURED FASHION SENSE!") was only ever said internally." --- BBC america
Why is everyone keeps ignoring my :icondwplz: journal countdown? *sigh*
Skip him if you want to, but don't skip at all cost, he's the first one to choke a companion..... don't tell him that would you? :iconscaredplz:
