I found the original photo of this manip. enchanting. I thought about it and I knew I wanted to mess with it. So I did! Didn't want to make it too abstract, so I just played with little things on it. Yaya has practically black eyes, so makeing them lighter was a challenge, but fun! Yaya is my favorite person to make manips. of, so whenever I see a picture of her that catches my eye, it's fun to play with it.

I realized this afternoon that I don't have any decent shots of my 1470s Italian/Florentine clothes up. Sure there was the 1470s Cioppa a couple of years ago but things have improved a little since then. I still don't know if this could be termed 'decent' because you can see so very little of it. But it satiated the desire to do a Lorenzo de' Medici photoshoot tonight so there it is.

Admittedly, there's not much that's 'Lorenzo' about this. It actually strikes me more as Angelo Poliziano, who was one of Lorenzo's poet buddies and potential lover: [link] He's second from the right. I've never really been one for slashing the historical ppl but there's something wildly romantic about Lorenzo and Poliziano, if that was indeed the case.

Anyways, the clothes. The doublet is made of wool flannel and lined with linen - entirely hand-sewn with the peculiar and very Italian u-shaped dip where the collar joins the back of the doublet. The shirt is linen and hand-sewn as well, though it actually belongs to my German jaeger kit (pictures of THAT to follow in a week or two). The chaperon is wool flannel, rolled and rolled, to give it the right look. The boots are leather and made by hand. They too go with the German hunting outfit but are generic enough to pass for medieval boots of any culture. And riding breeches. Because I STILL don't have a decent pair of hosen.

This, by the way, is the only angle at which I like my nose.

Presented for your perusal is Sion Eltnam Atlasia, from Melty Blood.

Some of you may be wondering why I didn't have her bound with Etherlite, and the short answer is because that's been done so much already.

Besides, a shibari fits her pretty well, doesn't it?
