Iron Man + Batman = The Dark Knight
Anthony Wayne was the spoiled offspring of Howard and Maria Wayne. While brilliant, Anthony preferred to spend his time living a hedonistic lifestyle at his parents expense. However, while traveling with his parents shortly after his eighteenth birthday, Anthony and his parents were the victim of a terrorist attack that left Anthony's parents dead and himself mortally wounded. Using his brilliant mind to construct a rudimentary pacemaker to prevent the bullets from entering his heart, Anthony decided to dedicate his life to stamping out crime and bringing the criminals who took his parents life to justice. Anthony spent the next few years traveling the world, learning essential skills and abilities, all the while perfecting a powerful suit of armor. Soon her became one of the world's greatest detectives, and fashioned himself a fantastic suit of armor that he donned to take on the identity of The Dark Knight. Now, Anthony spends his days pretending to be the rich playboy, but his knights hunting down criminals both ordinary and fantastic as the dark avenger.
As with Spider-Boy, I wasn't too thrilled with the initial blending of Wolverine and Batman. While it does seem like a safe bet, both characters being the most popular characters from their respective universes, Iron Man and Batman seemed like a more natural fit. The biggest challenge was finding a common point of design for the two characters. While both have similar origins and alter egos, there isn't much to link a man in armor with a bat. Which is why I went with the "Dark Knight" theme, as I felt it justified the armored look a lot more.
