One last word on the Jeff thing. As I pointed out in my last journal, Sesseur (and in fact, nobody else) owns Jeff the Killer; he's a public-domain character. Sesseur merely created the image Jeff's creepypasta was based on, he didn't write the creepypasta itself. One last word on the Jeff thing.2 years ago in Personal More Like This
And you know what?
SESSEUR'S ACTUALLY OUTRIGHT STATED THAT HE DIDN'T WRITE THE PASTA ON THE COMMENTS ON HIS ORIGINAL "JEFF" VIDEO. SEVERAL TIMES. AND HE DOESN'T KNOW WHO WROTE IT, EITHER.
And another thing: just like Slenderman, Jeff doesn't really much of have a "canon" to speak of. All that's really there is the basic info about him, you can interpret the facts any way you want from there, within reason. CJ is no less valid than any headcanon you may come up with, because in the end whatever you imagine Jeff to be like post-origin story is just that; headcanon. Since no official sequel exists (and it's likely none ever will) nobody can really de
RUINED FOREVAR!1Remember my satire "EVERYTHING IS DESTROYING CREEPYPASTA!", where I used the very worst and most inane (real) arguments/talking points from creepypasta "elitists" I could find (from DA, Tumblr, and elsewhere) and exaggerated them for humorous effect?RUINED FOREVAR!12 years ago in Personal More Like This
Well, there's a reason I made it. The creepypasta/Marble Hornets Slenderman fandom...well...has a lot of closed-minded people. These people I'm talking about are the sort who think their headcanon/way of interpreting certain pasta monsters is the high holy gospel, and that everyone who thinks/acts even slightly differently than them is a pestilence upon the fandom. "MY version of Slenderman is the ONLY version of Slenderman and everyone ELSE'S version of Slenderman can go to hell!" "Jeff simply CANNOT be older than 13! You're a stupid fangirl if you think otherwise!" "My headcanon of The Rake is the CORRECT headcanon and everyone el

The reign of techniqueSo I'm gonna jump on this whole "technique & style" bandwagon. The reign of technique3 years ago in Personal More Like This
The newfound notion is that art is about "expressing ideas, emotions, fun, story - insert whatever", not technical skill. Lots of shitty artists with their crappy internet popularity and webcomics engines suddenly decided that they're awesome and epic ideas are so AWESOME, so EPIC, so LOVED by people, that giving them a decent technical framing is not important at all, and they can be lazy cuntfaces.
I have to say one thing about this: technical skill IS expression. The better your skill, the more instruments for you to convey whatever you want to convey with your art. Or nothing at all, if like me, you're mostly focusing on plain aesthetics.
Technical skill is the language of art. Not emotion - emotion doesn't draw. Your hand does. Your eye. The nerves and muscular tissue connecting the brain, eye and your hand. Art is about control over physiology - imagination comes second.
Let's see. Can a man with a vocabulary of 300 w
Concept vs Visual AestheticRecently, on my piece I got into an interesting discussion that I find would be of importance to some of my watchers, despite the person being helpless in said discussion and just looking to waste their time.Concept vs Visual Aesthetic2 years ago in Personal More Like This
Basically, I encountered yet another person who cannot grasp the difference between concept and visual aesthetic, and is quick to brand any widespread concept as similar to some popular piece of media that utilized such a concept.
I personally define visual aesthetic in concept art as series of image elements, art techniques and stylistic patterns that unify an array of objects in art into a single, wholesome, stand-out microcosm which is recognized by these elements. It's what allows us to relate a piece of art to a certain time period ("that's so 80's!"), a culture ("typically oriental stuff!") or movement ("absolutely baroque!").
A concept, on the other hand, is a concept – an idea made into flesh. The concept might have a definitive visual aesthe

Artist Goals and RacismIntrospectionArtist Goals and Racism10 months ago in Personal More Like This
I think it’s important for artists to be introspective. I think it should be the goal of any cartoonist or artist to take a step back, look at the world, and question and challenge all assumptions and normalities. So often little social stigmas and issues go completely unnoticed by a vast majority of the population, that I think it’s important to be reminded of where we are, how things work, and challenge the status-quo.
I believe that’s one of the most fundamentally important things about being an artist. It’s not the artistic skill level, it’s your ability to poke fun at stuff and make average people question their routines. While artistic skill is important, the average consumer doesn’t really care about artistic merits if the overall message is conveyed well. I’ve seen many stick-figure comics and supposedly “low-skill” artists resonate with people because of the message they’re sending.

My Most ''Controversial'' Comics?I don't genuinely believe I'm all that controversial. Most of the "controversy" that surrounds my work stem from geek related things, like the color of Link's hair or the incredibly stupid Mac vs Pc debate. More often than not whenever I poke fun at something there's usually an outcry from people who think that somehow translates into THEM getting made fun of by me. Which just isn't the case.My Most ''Controversial'' Comics?2 years ago in Personal More Like This
But anyway, the point is that I've produced a lot of comics over the years and I have gotten quite a bit of flak for a select few of them. I do not wish to rekindle any old arguments or defend my actions from almost a decade ago, but I am curious...
"Which of my comics do you think is the most controversial that I've ever done?"
This can be from any of my work, from SYAC, to brentalfloss, to Alex Ze Pirate, to whatever. I'm curious to know which comics or pieces of art that I've made do you think have gotten the most "heat" simply for existing. I don't care if you agree or disagree with the comic

Aright so I've been up to quite a bit this summer. After my last update, I got very busy with a freelance gig for the Suffolk County library. I've been quiet on the blog front for a few months due to the grand majority of what I've been working on has had to be kept secret. Some of it is still under wraps, but there's a couple things I can talk about now.
First off, the good folks from Studio Nasu and Otakon, the first anime convention I ever went to and STILL attend almost every year, are teaming up to do a side-scrolling beat 'em up game called "Crisis Heart Brawlers: Clash at Otakon". I'm working on the game as an animation clean-up artist and we've opened up a kickstarter about a week ago, which has already gotten almost half the goal's budget! There

SNIPPY: REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAYOctober something, something.SNIPPY: REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAY4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today captain declared as "REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAY".
The day begun with me getting smacked with a broken laptop and yells "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!".
I tried to protest that laptops weren't attacking people in the mornings back in the past. To this, Captain declared that in fact they didn't have to, because users were so addicted to reading their daily mail facts that every morning they woke up smacking their heads on their laptops.
Then my head was treated to a barrage of empty, metal SPAM cans with words "SPAM MAIL! DODGE THE SPAM! USE FILTERS!".
With these words, captain gave me two old tennis rackets. The tennis rackets had yellow duck-tape stickers on them with words "DELETE" and "BLOCK EMAIL ADDRESS".
The spam can attack didn't end there, Pilot's job for today was hiding behind building ruins and throwing the spam cans at me at random intervals with yells of "INCREASE YOUR GENITAL SIZE!", "RUSSIAN BRIDE LOVES YOU" and "I AM NIGERIAN PRINCE WITH 56 BILL

To celebrate (Get ready for something lame), I'm going to list the first few watchers who started me off or people who have put me in a good place of mind.
:iconhoyeechun: hoyeechun was my very first watcher. His Pokemon art inspired me to make Pokemon art of my own. It didn't turn out so well at first, but I got better. Speaking of getting better, he lives in Malaysia, and didn't have very good English grammar. I tried to help him, and it worked. So far, he's been learning on his own now, perfectly fine. Eventually, hoyeechun fell victim to the Brony Plague. No matter what, he would NOT draw any Pokemon. Just ponies, more ponies, and even more ponies! He even started something called the "Brony Network" group! What the heck? Anyway, he's still a great artist, sure, but he ruined a lot of my memories... Every time I looked at his page, I would see a cute or funny Pokemon picture. Nowadays, I just see a slap

BullyingA teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, not to rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child, they may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.Bullying4 years ago in Personal More Like This

For those of you who say:"I can't do great works of art because all I have is MS Paint"For those of you who say:2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It's NOT the program, it's the artist using the program.
EDIT: I should probably mention this was 50+ hours or work for this. So don't be discouraged and think this person actually just sat down and did this in like 5 minutes, haha! And yes, it IS the newer version of MS Paint (Windows 7 and higher maybe? I don't know if Windows 8 has MS Paint or not).
My Opinion on the Creepypasta FandomCreepypasta should not be a fandom. As one person, I have no control over it, but creepypasta is supposed to be, well, creepy! Scary, terrifying, disturbing, nightmarish, but not fluffy and cute. OCs are for fanfiction, creepypasta should have monsters, demons, killers, and deceptively cute instruments of evil. Create a new monster, don't call it an OC, and don't hype it. If it's good, it will catch on. That is how creepypasta became popular in the first place. The fact is, people do not take OCs as seriously as you would like, and you will not be creating the next Slender Man any time soon if you call it that. Did Native American call the Sasquatch an OC?My Opinion on the Creepypasta Fandom11 months ago in Personal More Like This
This is why I propose that new groups are created for creepypasta "fanfiction", separate from the groups for real creepypasta. If you want to write a Jeff the Killer story, make it scary and keep it in-character. Want to write a Jeff the Killer fanfiction? Go ahead! Just make it clear that it is a fanfiction, preferably put it in a g
