How to Write a Novel - a beginner's guideI am often asked - how do you write novels? I am often told by the person asking - so politely -How to Write a Novel - a beginner's guide3 years ago in Personal More Like This
"It is my dream to write a novel"
"I wish I could write"
"I would love to write my novel on ..."
I let people know I am on my third novel. It is rare to meet a writer, rarely someone who has realised their dream, and who has produced a book. Rarer still to find a published author --- why? it seems so easy.....when you read them.
Many try the

Although I will say that I am sorry for responding rather unprofessionally, I will not however apologize for the content of my work. Like personal taste for what makes good and what is acceptable art, there is a line between pin-up and porn. To you anything showing cleavage instantly constitutes porn, you even said that in a piece with an uncovered breast from the side was not porn, even though this is technically more perverse.
In a tizzy rage you did not see the satire of what I did on your deviation, my comment was hyperbolic, but it is somebody's opinion. To you two teenagers kissing is innocent and cute, but to somebody else this is a precursor to teenage sex and underage porn. This person is insane no doubt, but what I deem oversexed i
Thanks guys!To those of you who didn't know, there was a bit of a situation going on a miiverse site where someone was literally tracing my comic and posting it with their OCs instead (so basically a recolor)Thanks guys!5 months ago in Personal More Like This
But, thanks to the outrageous support by you guys, they were removed! So thank you all for helping me out!
To be honest, it wouldn't have been so bad if I was given credit for the original. However, if I see something like "..so what if it looks like Out With The Old?.." Yeah, that's going to get me on my bad side. You guys don't want me on my bad side, trust me.
Anyways thanks again for all the help! A special thanks to these guys who I know directly got to the problem:
As well as to the rest of you that I don't know! So really, Thank You~

Bioware and the end of the Mass Effect seriesThis is something I felt compelled to write;Bioware and the end of the Mass Effect series2 years ago in Personal More Like This
both as a gamer and the influences that helped shape me as a developer.
Almost a year from when I touched my last save file, I finally "finished" the Mass Effect series. I played all the DLC and I beat the game, one last time. It was a somber ending, because it put a final end to a character I have played since 2007. I have games that I love, games stretching back to my childhood, and games that I would consider myself to be a huge fan of. I can count on one hand though (and not using all my fingers), franchises that have sucked me in and crafted characters that made me care about them in such a way, that turns this 6'5 developer into your everyday excitable fan (not Justin Beiber level though, that'd be just plain crazy). The Mass Effect series is one of those few titles.
I have looked up to Bioware for many years. Combined with my love for Point & Click advent

Fanfiction Temptation.I don't draw other people's characters very often, and I generally advise other people not to either, because, unless you're actually being EMPLOYED to do so; you're not getting anything out of it. You're not promoting yourself or your own ideas but giving a big company free advertising. You're spending time and effort cementing someone else's IP into the public consciousness when you should be doing the same for your own.Fanfiction Temptation.4 months ago in Personal More Like This
That said, messing around in worlds that you did not have a hand in creating is a lot of fun. I do it myself and feel very guilty for it because I should really be focusing on my own.

8 Lies Told by Climate Change Deniers Debunked by Real Climate Scientists
With the news that the west Antarctic ice sheet is not only melting, but that melting is unstoppable, the climate change deniers are out in full force on the forums and the comment threads, wheeling out tired lie after tired lie, and are bellowing louder and slowing progress even more in the halls of legislation. While these deniers have a number of fall back lies, there seems to be eight perennial lies that keep cropping up.
The earth stopped warming in the late 1990′s, global cooling, it’s the sun’s fault, and 5 other ridiculous lies about climate change… debunked!

My dreams about Anders Behring Breivik:I decided to put out, (for everyone to read), the dreams I had about Anders Behring Breivik. My dreams about Anders Behring Breivik:3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Before you start to read I would like to say a few things. Some say that they can control their dreams, I cannot. I only control my actions. And I hope that no one (that is a fan/supporter of Breivik) gets offended (or gets the wrong idea) after reading the dreams. I will always respect him, these are only dreams.
Me and my family walked somewhere to see a comedy show. Everyone was dressed very nicely, but when we got to a stage everyone just sat down on the floor. We watched some few people before a guy in a white shirt with a red tie walked on stage. Then I suddenly saw that it was Anders Behring Breivik. He started right away by telling jokes and making everyone laugh. I looked around and I was the only one that reacted at all and the only one that didn't laugh. I whispered to my dad: "Don't you see who that is?", but my dad just said: "yeah, yeah" and continued laughing. And t

Robocop 2.0The Robocop reboot was one of the few acts of lazy plagiarism that I wasn’t really bothered by, and was in fact looking forward to.Robocop 2.02 years ago in Personal More Like This
“WHAAAT?!” I hear some cry. “You can’t mess with a classic!”
To them I ask: Have you watched the original recently?
Unlike, say, Ghostbusters (1984), the original Robocop has not aged well, mostly because it was a satire and satirical comedy/comedy based on popular culture tends to date very quickly.
Also, because of the limitations of special effects at the time: Peter Weller now looks decidedly goofy clomping around “future” Detroit in that clunky costume. I’ve no idea how restrictive it was, but I’ve a sneaking suspicion that he took the Anthony Daniels approach to playing a robot and made a point of moving like the Tin Man in a monsoon.
The reboot has ditched the satirical slant of the original and become a character-based drama. Those hoping for a repeat of the ‘87
