Internet University: Part III(A warm day on campus, as per the unwritten laws of IU, fills the grounds with various mobs of students, chatting amongst themselves with not a sad emoticon in sight. Among them, weaving in and out of the crowded bandwidth, our hero Facebook seems to be surveying the area for something. His time alone is short lived, however, as he's soon spotted and charged by his hastily dressed younger brother. Stopping only briefly to show off his friends list to a group of attractive sunbathing Juniors ("Log off, creep!"), Myspace finds his way to Facebook, waving his arms around animatedly.)Internet University: Part III6 years ago in Humor More Like This

Haru liked his moustache. It made him feel manly.
He didn't understand why everyone else seemed to think otherwise-and judging from what he'd heard last night, Ty Lee was the most recent as well as the most vocal of the little group of dissenters. And today, he decided as he strode into the open circus-like clearing where she trained, it was time they had a talk about it.
"Ty Lee," he began formally, and the former acrobat spun around with a grin, tossing her red gold-embroidered handkerchief high into the air and nimbly catching the spinning cloth with her toe. "Ty Lee," he repeated after a moment when it seemed like she hadn't heard him. Still he received no response, as she only continued to twist her body into impossible shapes while maintaining her balance and... Spirits, was she flexible.
"Hold your ostrich-horses, I'm almost done!" she called, flipped in the air and swung off the horizontal pole she'd erected for the p

Sir, I can assure you this is of the utmost importance. I hope you excuse me if I just skip the formalities and dive straight in? You need to hear this
Rhodes glanced over his old friend, then shuffled sleepily to his desk. His form shrunk as he collapsed into the soft cushions of his magenta chair. Oh come now, General. You and I both know you were never one for formalities.
Right ahem, Hammen shifted wearily. Im not quite sure how to say this, so Ill just be straight. What you are about to see is filed under the top tier of classification. Absolutely not
A Simple Thing“Goodnight Ryth.”A Simple Thing2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
“Goodnight Zoey, sleep tight.”
Rythian leaned over and sealed the door to their makeshift tent and lay back on his bed.
It was the first day since the nuke that he and Zoey had both slept in the same place, not counting the nights he had watching Zoey sleep as she healed, and the mage waited eagerly for a sound that he hadn’t heard in nearly a month.
He was soon rewarded with the heavy, warm sound of Zoey’s sleep breathing. A simple thing really, just her breathing, but one that he had waited so long to hear.
Ever since he and Zoey had joined forces and he had begun teaching her magic, they had always been close by when sleeping and Rythian had grown used to hearing the relaxing sound when he was falling asleep.
When Zoey had gone away the first time to save Tee, he had truly realized how much the sound comforted him and it had been that alone that had driven him to start using the guest room. He didn’t know why it soothed
Sleepwalking (Zoethian One-shot)Rythian twisted and turned in his sleep as a sharp pain in his shoulder intensified more and more before finally breaking him from his slumber. The tired Mage looked up from his bed, growling quietly under his breath as he made out the form of Teep in the barley lite area standing next to him, poking Rythian's shoulder repeatedly with his sharp claws. Rythian pushed himself up, informing the Dinosaur that he was awake and to stop poking him. As Rythian sat up he finally realized that the double bed he was sitting on, normally occupied by two bodies, currently only held one.Sleepwalking (Zoethian One-shot)2 years ago in Romance More Like This
The Mage let out a tired sigh before looking back at the Dinosaur while asking, "Where is she, Tee?"
Teep turned and began walking back out into their desert base, heading towards the animal pens, Rythian following close behind. Approaching the dog houses, Rythian spotted something metallic shine in the moonlight, smiling to himself under his mask as they walked closer, spotting Zoey curled up next to Ghost Jr and W

Tee was off somewhere for the night and when Zoey had mentioned being cold, he had not hesitated. It was rare for the two of them to get this kind of alone time and he was going to take full advantage of it.Overdue2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
Zoey leaned back enough to look in his eyes and said “What are you thinking about Ryth?”
He smiled and cupped her face in his hand “How beautiful you are.”
Zoey’s face went bright red and she shifted as if to move backwards but Rythian wasn’t letting her get away that easily.
The hand that had been resting on her hip moved to her back and pulled her to him as he bent his head to kiss her neck.
He felt her shiver against him and whisper “Rythian…”
“Mhmmm.” He answerd as his lips moved to the soft patch of h

"Zoey..." the words hitched in Rythian's throat.
It was as if she was sleeping, her bloodied and broken body limp. She had a small smile on her face though, Fishton grasped in her hand.
Lalna heard it before he saw the damage. The earth shook and the nuke went off. The remote in his backpack buzzed once then shattered in his hands.
He flew down, hovering above the wreckage. Smugness at first, I mean, he actually destroyed Rythian's base for once. Then a sudden fierceness, what if Rythian didn't survive? He hadn't checked the chatbox lately. He was busy with other things.
Then every thought in his mind went blank as he saw a cloaked man holding something red to him, with a dinosaur clasping his shoulder.
"No," the scientist whispered.
The glove on his arm buzzed, the chatbox updating.
ZOEYA BLEW UP.

Invisible ValentineIchigo did not open his closet. He tried his best to not even look at it. In the first few months his eyes were always drawn to it, and a slow, deep ache would reside in his chest every time it filled his view. Somewhere around his heart, he figured, or where his heart once was, or where his heart should be. But days turned into weeks turned into months turned into years; both achingly slowly and faster than he could keep up with, and now he could go weeks without looking at it. This was strange. Usually he could block out just about anything and give his work his full attention. Oddly enough, it wasn't thoughts of Karin or the after school soccer game that were bothering him
It was Ichigo.
Every time Toshiro looked, the carrot-top was staring at him. He wasn't hostile or anything, but the staring was weirding even Toshiro out. It was like Ichigo was analyzing him.
So the first thing Toshiro did when he sat down at their lunch table that day was very calmly and tactfully approached the subject.
"What is your problem, Kurosaki?"
Yeah. Or not.
Ichigo swallowed a bite of food and put his fork down on his lunch tray. "Funny, I was going to ask you the same thing," he was slightly hostile now, unlike this morning, "What the hell is going on with you and my sister?"
"He's infatuated with her," Rangiku interjected, taking a seat next to Ichigo, "Aren't they just adorable?"

"Just you know, my part time job and all this home work," he replied, deliberately feeding her a lie.
Karin huffed in reply, and hung up on him. Ichigo knew he had to be annoying all of his family and friends, but he was very happy with his newfound hermit lifestyle. But can you truly be a hermit if you're not alone? Each night he drifted to sleep, Rukia returned to his side. He found himself going to bed much earlier now, and taking the afternoon shifts and classes just to sleep in later. Every waking hour was agony to him now. Once Ichigo was off the phone, he turned and opened the door to his apartment. He glanced to the clock on the wall, and headed to his bedroom. 'It's already 7:30pm; so late' he thought as he fell back on his bed and shut his eyes.

Ichigo shrugged, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"It was fine." Except for Keigo, talking about things he didn't want to hear about. Things. Her. "We have class now right?"
Inoue nodded. "After school, I have sewing club with Ishida-kun! You should join the club!"

SocksSocks:Socks6 years ago in Historical More Like This
A Work of Historical Fiction
These days people don't fully comprehend how important clothes really are. Clothes in them selves have become merely cloth to too many people. Perhaps the most overlooked and disrespected piece of clothing today is the sock. Socks are not just devices of warmth and comfort or hilarity in it's purest form, as most people believe; no, they are much more. Socks teach us lessons you could not begin to comprehend until the sock teaches them to you itself. Considering that it is very unlikely a sock will actually talk to you, I'll attempt to convey the message instead. To understand the sock is to understand it's history, it's meaning and it's way of thinking, or lack there of.
If someone were to come up to me and say something like "Socks keep my feet warm." I would laugh at them and scoff rather uncontrollably. Almost to the point of passing out uncontrollably.
They are wrong. Wrong

Rangiku threw her car in park and looked over at her sour President passenger. He had been in a much better mood when she had left him at the park earlier. It was a shame he was back to his old, stiff self.
"Because you're the President, sir," she told him, unnecessarily happy as always, "You're the one who hands out demerits. I'm just the chauffer."

She had completely forgotten about them until seven o'clock, and then eagerly swung by to pick him up off the street. Now it was almost twenty-five after and they were on the third to last one.
