Posting online is like dancing in a busy streetBefore you share anything online; be it art, photograph, or commentary, you should sit there and just envision this scenario:Posting online is like dancing in a busy street4 years ago in Personal More Like This
"EVERY PERSON ON THE INTERNET EVER IS GOING TO SEE THIS."
And really picture what people who don't know you, and don't care to know you, would say.
Then prepare yourself for it.
Because as terribly unlikely as that particular scenario is; your DA profile, journal, and gallery are still not your private little getaway of the internet for you and your buddies.
And you never know when something you did or said will be featured somewhere with a much bigger (and louder. and meaner.) audience than you're used to.

I can't say everything I want to, in order to express how important not only my following as an artist has become, but how you've all helped inspire me to follow my dreams to the utmost extent. Over the past fifteen years, and since I originally found Deviantart, this site has helped platform me into the artist I am today. I also created and showcased my IP, LMS: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter, through Deviantart.
I hope this blog post does justice in telling that story, and how important it is to follow your dreams and passion. And while I haven't been as active online, I can promise I have been behind the scenes.
Thank you for believing in my dream, and again, enjoy the read.

Why people need to stop...... whining about female warrior and super heroine character designs. Why people need to stop...4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Answer: In short, because they sound like whiny wannabe-feminist with major complexes and no knowledge of how art in a professional level works.
So a bit of background story, as some of you know, I was mostly oriented to fine arts, this has been changing progressively with time, and now, I'm more focused to character design and marketable illustrations. This has led me to a lot of research and self instruction via internet. But with the good, comes the bad. I wanted to write this entry for a while, because thanks to lack of experience I used to agree with criticizing the industry standards when it comes to representation of female characters, huge boobs, skinny frame, bikini armor stereotype.
And then, I stumbled upon the famous eschergirls tumblr account. http://eschergirls.tumblr.com/
First of all I must say these guys have some major balls, to transform this:
Ugh, I think I prefer the bimbo heroine with

The Leviathan and the Death of HopeWarning: contains spoilers concerning the Leviathan DLC, Mass Effect 3 and my notions about what good writing is. Duh.The Leviathan and the Death of Hope3 years ago in Personal More Like This
There are moments when I wish I could just turn off my writer's sense at a whim and "just go with it". Ignore that a story in a game, or a movie, or a book, or a TV show is flawed in my opinion, just to enjoy the views, get an adrenaline rush from all the flashing colors and have fun. And truth be told - it usually works that way... Just not for the universes I tend to care about. If you got me invested in your franchise, I will expect you to deliver the goods. 'Tis how the cookie crumbles.
Which brings me to the Leviathan DLC. I've seen a lot of positive reviews and emotions towards it popping up all over the internet before I was even able to check it out myself. My hopes were high, and, initially, I loved it. It had a sense of exploration Mass Effect 3 was seriously lacking and the TGES Mining Base really reminded me of Noveria... It was spot on.

Preventing Injuries for Artists (and people who work with computers)
Hello there my fellow deviants, time for a new update. It’s a long entry, so go grab a snack and sit tight with a good posture, because there's a lot to learn here - even some anatomy.
I just read about Loish’s injury on her blog, and it’s truly saddening to see a fellow artist struggling with a physical limitation that affects their workflow.
Loish is absolutely right, the body has its limits and we ought to be careful before it’s too late.
Tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, aren’t stranger terms to me, many artists and people who work with computers for many hours, tend to deal with the same conditions, some let it advance to the stage where the only treatment is surgery, which can potentially reduce mobility and destroy an illustrator’s career.

RIP Terry PratchettJust woke up and saw the news that Terry Pratchett has passed away. I am very sad at hearing this; it was also very unexpected. He was a great guy, and wrote some of the best books. I was just re-reading The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents yesterday.RIP Terry Pratchett1 year ago in Personal More Like This
Hands down he's my favorite author. He will be sorely missed.

No Death Star for you.I didn't know this until now, but the White House is obliged to respond to to a petition with over 25,000 signatures. I'm not quite sure what percentage of those 30,000+ citizens realise that using a planet-destroying laser to take out people on the planet on which you live is an ever-so-slightly flawed agenda.....

so about ravine.so...time to talk ravineso about ravine.1 year ago in Personal More Like This
the book tanked...
and i mean the book tanked hard.
we are talking about 5000% losses on effort versus profit XD
on book 2 i received profits that would usually pay for me making 5 pages of a comic. ravine was a 160 page book
so... where do i take it from here
do i quit?
the book is good. i have no doubts about that. book 2 is far better than book 1 and book 3 will surpass them both
but the facts are simple. the book never found an audience.
so i have made a decision
i will apply to ravine the same approach i have done with sunstone
true, i never had any intention of publishing sunstone and it was the fans demand that made me make that decision. and you know what?
fans stepped up!
in fact the way things are going there is a good chance i will in late 2015 onward focus on sunstone very intensively. fans have more than earned it, and for that they have my most sincere gratitude
and now, i am going to do the same with ravine.

You played in the woods, the leaves falling from the trees. You giggled and laughed as you tossed your ball around. The stripped colored ball, rolled away from you. You followed it, but stopped when your ball stopped by a man's feet. The faceless man picked it up, you smiled as he tossed it back to you. Catching it in your small hands, you ran up to the well dressed man. Lifting the ball up to him, taking it into his own hand, the other rubbed your hair. You giggled, he turned you around, pushing you to walk forward. You turn around to face him, you were only a couple of feet away. Slenderman bounces the ball to you, catching it once more, you throw back to him. You two played with the ball for a while til he looked off to the side, you held the ball in your arms. Slenderman started to walk away, you followed. But he stopped you, letting you know to stay here. Than he left. Your frown didn't stay long, you smiled o

“The very meaninglessness of life forces man to create his own meaning. Children, of course, begin life with an untarnished sense of wonder, a capacity to experience total joy at something as simple as the greenness of a leaf; but as they grow older, the awareness of death and decay begins to impinge on their consciousness and subtly erode their joie de vivre, their idealism—and their assumption of immortality. As a child matures, he sees death and pain everywhere about him, and begins to lose faith in the ultimate goodness of man. But, if he’s reasonably strong—and lucky—he can emerge from this twilight of the soul into a rebirth of life’s elan. Both because of and in spite of h
Blue LavaI have discovered something awesome. Something squishy Nel should do.Blue Lava2 years ago in Personal More Like This
You are looking at blue lava! That is not a recolor, it's not a trick, it's real blue lava. There is a volcano in Indonesia that is a sulfur mine for the island. And when it erupts, because there's so much sulfur on the volcano, the lava turns blue.
Sulfur as many of you new to chemistry may have learned, is a yellow mineral, but when you light it on fire, it burns with a blue flame. So that is why this is happening. It also creates a toxic gas that is highly poisonous to humans.
So now that blue lava does in fact exist, guess what I gotta have Neltharion do! He's gotta spit blue lava now! I have to draw him like this. Have him like down huge cakes of sulfur and then...blech...blue lava! And best yet, it would be an excellent breath weapon

I was never really a wrestling fan, but I love John Carpenter flicks, and They Live, in which Piper starred, is pretty much the definition of "Cult Classic".
It was also a hoot when he turned up in Saints Row 4 to assist in the rescue of his co-star, Keith David.
As tribute to both he and one of the greatest lines in movie history: let us all chew some bubblegum..... and once we're out: kick some alien zombie ass.

1. Write a freaking script! Don't get me wrong, I adore :iconKayFedewa: and The Blackblood Alliance. But Kay herself has admitted how much trouble she got herself into by starting the comic and not having a script. And when one of the top artists on DA admits to the pitfall, you had best sit up and take notice. It's called a graphic NOVEL, folks. And just because it has cute pictures doesn't mean you get to half-ass it. Considering how much work goes into making a graphic novel looks good, I am continually gobsmacked by the number of people who plunge into it without bothering with a contingency plan. You know exactly what the end result looks like. About ... oh, ten, twenty pages, maybe 30 if you're lucky. And then it ends, and you won't see updates for months and years. If ever. It's not often that I invoke prior planning prevents piss p

Sometimes in youth we play crazy mind games. One gruesome game was trying to think of the worst way to die. Or even better, the "which would you choose" version of the same conceit. Another was what would be the worst torture to endure. If there is one international touchstone that best captures youthful fears and wonders in speculation of what lies beyond the veil of death and awaits as possible punishment for our sins, it must be - to the few who have actually read it to the millions who "know" it – "Dante's Inferno." Who does not shiver at the thought of being lost somewhere in the "Nine Rings of Hell?"

To Battle The Horde
“What do we die for, if not family, friends and freedom? We have fled from a crude reality, yet fate and war chase us, shake us like winter winds bully a wooden house. So let us fight evil with bravery, oblivion with willpower, doom to our very last breath: we have risen together, and together we fall. Where but here, at the last outpost of our kingdom, can we defeat the horde?”
