A Flutist : Part One
This story starts off as if it is not an Inuyasha Fan fiction, but characters will pop up...find out who!
Minamoto no Hiromasa was a renowned musician favored in the Imperial Court.
He was most known for his skill with the flute.
Hiromasa was the firstborn son of the first prince Katsuakira. His grand father was Emperor Daigo. Though he could have been in line to the throne or to any of the top positions of the government, he chose to be removed from the Imperial succession to pursue his love of music.
He had no interest in political advancement.
He took up a new family name "Minamoto", and chose to work for the court as a registrar of records.
He was no longer considered by his family and the court as a member of the Imperial family.
After that, only his musical talent brought him to the important events of the court and palaces of powerful nobles.
Though it disappointed his father greatly, Hiromasa had no regret in following the path he chose for himself.

The blonde sannin glared at the woman to her left. No, Kushina, it is not great. Do you know what this means? It means Ill be a mother at thirty-eight, Ill have to marry Jiraiya, and I cant have any sake for nine months!
The dark haired woman to Tsunades right scoffed. Join the club.
How far along are you? Kushina asked, unfazed by her friends outburst.
Two months. Tsunade sighed like it was the end of the world.
Thats not so bad! The other woman nudged her. That means you only have seven months without sake.
This didnt seem to help.
If it makes you feel better, she continued, I wont drink any in front of you.
You cant drink any anyway. Youre still breastfeeding. Tsunade grumbled.

ND - Hide and SeekIf you were of any importance to a member of the main family of the Uchiha clan, you were aware that every year, starting on July 1st, Itachi started to play his crazy little mind games on his little brother. Theyd been doing this for years. Starting on the first of the month, Itachi would start dropping hints to Sasuke about what his aniki had gotten him and where hed stashed it. When Sasuke was a child, Itachi had started it merely as a way to entertain himself and his little brother. Hed hide the present somewhere obvious, like a closet or the attic, but as the two got older, the hiding places, and the chases, became more involved.
For example, when Sasuke turned twelve, his birthday present was sitting all nice and neat and wrapped in the middle of the Nara forest. And on his fifteenth birthday, Itachi had hidden the present inside Ankos desk in her office in the interrogation building. And when Sasuke was ten, h

As far as Inuyasha was concerned, there weren't too many words that began with "Sessh", and even fewer that began with "Sesshou", but maybe, just maybe, his hearing had gone wrong.
"Se..." she mumbled again. He leaned even closer, almost touching her, not even knowing he was reaching a very disturbing level of wrongness in his gesture. "Sesshouuuu...."
If his half-brother was bothering Kagome in her dreams, Inuyasha was going to find a way to kill him. However, a small part of him couldn't help but notice she didn't look distressed. That somehow worried him even more, especially since he had no idea what he was supposed to do in that case.
That didn't make any sense.
Inuyasha thankfully ceased looming. He looked around fo

There was a long moment of silence, and the air seemed thick with the tense aura around both Kakashi and Sakura. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Sakura gave a small smile. It was the awkward smile of someone trying to break the tense air, but it was a smile nonetheless.
Well, if you want to get technical, Kakashi-san, Ive been dead for several hundred years.
Sakuras casual answer seemed to break the strange silence that had descended after Kakashis words. Time seemed to jumpstart, as everyone moved, turning to look at Sakura and Kakashi more fully. Her words had also caused several more hunters to reach for their weapons, as if Kakashis admission suddenly made her even more dangerous than she already was.

Well, her and Mikoto, that is, but the woman never really had fit into the Uchiha mold. She was too bright for their serious ways.
The moving was conducted mostly in silence as the five of them weaved in and out of each others way as they passed through the three houses. The two women would give a smile to whomever they walked by, easing the tense atmosphere somewhat.
With a huff, Sakura sat the last of her stuff in her and Sasukes new bedroom. Wiping the sweat from her brow, she

Chapter 30: The Hero's Fate
Zelda ran across the bridges to Link and stopped a few feet in front of him.
The queen sadly gazed upon the wound to his face but then was taken aback to see his soft smile and the look of calm serenity in his remaining eye.
She came closer and tenderly touched where the demon marks had been, she put a hand around his shoulder to touch where the angel wings once were.
Zelda with tears of relief in her eyes wrapped her arms gently around his shoulders and hugged him.
Link returned the gesture and held her in his loving embrace. As they touched she could feel the bond between them, Zelda smiled, her hero had been restored, inside and out.
Chirin walked up carrying little Aryll who was still rather shaken. The girl began to squirm and reach for her father, the prince set her down. Link sat in grass and then reached out to her, the little girl ran crying into his arms and he held his adopted daughter close as she cried in relief.

As of February 1st (and a few more small changes Feb 2nd and 3rd) the previous chapters have seen both small and large upgrades. Some of what was changed is important to read otherwise parts of the last chapters will likely leave you going "huh?"
I highly suggest you read them again before reading chapter 14 and 15 (the last) as the first 13 were changed to give the last events more significance and so the plot would flow better.
A summary of what was changed:
In the updated chapters we learn more about how the Sheik mask came to be and just who Sheik was, and we get a glimpse of how Zelda spent her 7 years in hiding from Ganon. I put a little more focus on the Tenshioni who left to find help/a new home, and I clarified the balance of demon and angel within a Tenshioni vs the balance within others. I added in that Dark nearly slit Link's throat when they fought in the future that almost was, this makes Dark's remark while holding Chirin sting more, there is focus on the scar Da

Link stood there feeling a little dumbfounded. The hero's anxiety and lack of sleep left his mind feeling bombarded by the series of events that had just unfolded. He paused for a moment to let what Kaepora had said sink in before making his way back to the entrance of the Spirit temple. Link enlightened Nabooru of the situation and then set out on the long trip back home, alone.
He hated to return to the castle without his son in tow, but he had no choice, he needed to consult with others to cast light upon this situation, and hopefully the item Kaepora spoke of may also be found close to home.
Link approached the palace slowly on horseback, face wrought with worry and his eyes lowered in thought. Zelda and Impa ran to him eager for any news of the young prince, their heart sank when Link's sad eyes met their's. Once inside Link told them of everyth

The hero was weary and wounded, the cuts to his arm were serious .But the most critical wound laid deep within, an unseen wound that may never heal.
Link looked up to his princess with remorseful lost eyes, he was still only just barely conscious.

Kaepora was at wits end, he had been up there for three full nights and the land refused to speak. On top of this he'd not had a decent meal or nights sleep in all this time. He was hot and tired and sick of the summer sun which burned his Sheikah skin. Each day he had to try and follow the shade as the sun moved through the sky meaning the land was not only failing to cooperate spiritually but also physically.
He had thought the form of Sheik would help but the land treated him no different than before.
Kaepora contacted Link and said just to wait at the Inn, that he would come to them as soon as Professor Pam was done poking and prodding him asking more questions.
When Kaepora Sheik arrived back in town that night the air was thick and heavy with the heat of the day and he could not wait to take his armor off and lay in a soft bed after his three nights of laying on the ground.

A bitter wind blew through the great Imperial city, touching its many churches, palaces, houses and statues of emperors of old. Bitter it was, for it carried smoke, dust and ash with it from the fields of battle and from the Ottoman campfires outside the city walls. The wind was cold, but the demoralized populace did not feel its cold sting as much as they felt from where the wind was blowing. It came from the east, from the Ottoman Empire. It was bitter not because it was cold, not because the fumes it carried and not because its bite and sting; it was bitter because it was the herald of woes, the messenger of the Byzantine Empire’s final hours.
