Standing in front of it made him feel small, weak, and veunerable, like this castle was a giant that could squash him any second. But it wasn't. It was just a giant castle. A huge castle. It rose up and touched the clouds, it's pyres looking ominous in their seeming never-endingness.
It was in no way comparable to the medium-sized white-blue castle he lived in back home.
It appeared to be made out of ash and coal, although he realized that it must just be the work of black marble. It wasn't very shiny but it was smooth and black and grey and cold.
The worst thing about this place was how cold it was.
He hadn't brought a coat, having been assured by both Zexion and Xigbar that it was always--always--warm here.
