I've had this sitting in sketch form since June 2008 and finally got around to painting it up. Tried a few new things. Still trying to get back to the level of [link] and [link] and [link] after a long hiatus.
Normal red and blue are always tough colors for me, I dunno why.
Anyways, some stuff totally doesn't make sense, but I really like the concept itself.
I'm honestly not happy with the way this one turned out, but I thought I might as well show him since I still like the ideas I had for him.
I was debating between a Cadillac Escalade or a SRX. I was going to go with the SRX until I saw the brand new 2010 version , I honestly think it looks terrible (looks like a Honda CRV) so I went with the Escalade.
I obviously didn't perceive Blaster as being a tiny out of date tapedeck that could mass shift, so I decided that maybe his little helpers are parts of the Escalade as such. I don't think I need to explain what each little guy does; it should be obvious looking at them. Oh, and I don't know the names of Blaster's little guys from G1 so i just left them blank. Hardly matters IMO.
I could picture Blaster getting his little guys to infiltrate somewhere. Combine that with Michael Bay, and he'll probably put some 3 stooges moments in with them. Hopefully nothing sexual or racist too.
My design for TFW2005's Design a Transformer contest: [link]
The idea was to do an original Transformer concept in the movie-verse style.
Spin-Out is very much inspired by G1 Sunstreaker. His alt. mode is a Lamborghini Reventon: [link]
(Also, if anyone is wondering, the female silhouette in the right of the image is for size comparison (and sexy comparison), I just used a woman as opposed to a man/army guy like I saw in other images.)
