[Chapter #4- Twilight Below]
Though it was now 9:00 at night, Gremlin and Crystal were still dead-set on exploring the caverns which the Sableye had accidentally discovered earlier that day. As expected, the newlyweds were still wearing their ornate wedding attire and shimmering red ballet instructor sashes, although Crystal wisely had traded out her tiara for a hardhat with a forward-facing headlamp. Gremlin was wearing the same kind of headgear, except he had a large blue flame atop his head instead of

Chapter Two: The Arbiter's Captives
When Eris woke up, her body felt light. Her eyes opened to a dark blue ceiling with a hexagonal pattern, which she examined briefly before sitting up. Looking down at her body, she blanched. She was wearing a grey dress, styled into a halter-top, with braces on her arms. Feeling exposed, she hugged herself as she examined the rest of the room. The woman she had tried to save, sleeping still, was dressed similarly, though her dress was white instead of grey. Eris opened her mouth only to close it, repeating the action a few times. She had never really seen clothing as beautiful, due to her upbringing and her life as a rebel soldier, but now she was confused. Wasn't she supposed to be dead?
Her last memories seemed to indicate that her assumption was correct, but she felt the surface beneath her, and when she breathed in, the air smelled. She doubted the dead could smell. A motion to the side made her jerk in surprise. The ot

"Mmm. I can taste the flesh of those undead monsters already." Nikolai was holding onto his gun very tightly, grinning devilishly while doing so. For a moment, Dempsey swore he could see a flash of red in Nikolai's eyes.
"Uhh, you're kidding right? You're not actually thinking about eating these guys, right?" chuckled Dempsey nervously.
"Why? Are you afraid of me?" Nikolai asked.
"Umm, no. I was asking, because, uhh, that would be disgusting. Yeah, Im not afraid of you." said Dempsey.
Before Nikolai could answer, a loud whoosh could be heard while Takeo, completely ignoring the two, torched down his first zombie. Dempsey held his BAR at the ready, trying to completely ignore the fact that Nikolai was watching Dempsey with confusion.
Before long, the hordes were funneling into the hallway while the three fired away at them. Ta
Realms: 5Although they had slept at midnight, and expected to wake up at ten in the morning, they instead woke up at five. And in that time, no neighbor was yet awake. As Sarika awakened and looked around, everything was still rather quiet, she looked over at Aldric and smiled at him, she gently nuzzled him and got up to stretch. Today was a really big day, it was time to return to the dragon realms and live out life. She really couldn't wait for the future to happen; it was something she didn't think she'd actually look forward to. She looked back down at her mate and nuzzled him again, trying to awaken him.Realms: 55 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
Aldric just groaned in his sleep as Sarika nuzzled him. He shifted lightly and moved his head away from her and place it under his wing some and continued sleeping. He even started to mumble in his sleep lightly.
"Five more minutes mom." he mumbled.
Sarika giggled and told him, "Since when was I your mother?"
Aldric slowly opened his eyes as he heard Sarika's voice and lifted his head from

Finally, the shouts of screams were faded away, leaving a sudden empty silence. Cynder walked back a little bit from the stranger he was staring at.
"Cynder, are you all right? Why did you scream?" Spyro asked concern plain in his voice.
"Yes... yes, I'm all right"

Blue 4 Chapter 1Kelly took in a deep breath as the chemicals worked their way out of her system. The hatch opened and she leaned forward, coughing up the clear liquid that supplied nutrients while in cryo. Infinity would be coming out of slip space soon and the crew was being awoken to prepare. Once her lungs were clear of the mucus-like liquid, Kelly made a quick pass through the showers before she grabbed her clothing and got dressed into the black under layer of her armor. Fred and Linda joined her a couple seconds later, Fred still coughing up a little of the liquid. Kelly was already off down the catwalk before they even got dressed.Blue 4 Chapter 12 years ago in Sci-Fi More Like This

The rain was drifting down slowly and a chilly breeze swept the deserted street on this late October evening. 17-year old Thomas was just on his way home after anything long day at school, grey, listless and worn-out teachers filling your head with trivial facts and knowledge you'd probably never use again in your life, and tomorrow would bring no difference.A small sigh escaped his lips as he stuffed his hands in his pockets and continued on his way home to a probably intoxicated father and an overbearing mother.
Thomas muttered, deciding to take a shortcut trough the woods next to the railroad, at least the trees would provide some shelter. Darkness was falling quickly this ti

Dempsey watched in mild satisfaction as lead from the barrel of his Thompson tore through the rotten skin of the undead. Their rotten intestines were completely exposed, half of their torso and ribcage was torn destroyed; and blood was dripping from their wounds, drenching their ragged uniforms in a colour of thick red. He turned when he heard a zombie trying to climb, without hesitation he stomped the zombie in the face knocking it off the platform before sending a barrage of bullets at its face, tearing it's head apart. He removed his pistol from its holster, turned and took aim at a zombie that was slowly limping up the steps. He pulled the trigger, sending a single bullet in between the zombies eyes. The zombie was killed instantly.
It fell backwards before rolling down the steps, loud sickening cracks being heard as the rotten corpse fell down the stars, before crashing into a large group of zombies that were slowly making their way up. They were knocked o
Realms: PrologueToday was a day for hiking, Allen had planned it from the beginning of the month and he was not about to let himself down. The sun was like a burst of light today, yet not too bright to be blinded, and a bonus to this was the scattering of clouds that once in a while had blocked the sun for a few minutes and then rolled on. Allen had packed all of his belongings neatly in what was now a fully filled backpack, up to the brim of with some extra clothing, snacks and other useful equipment. He placed the bag into his car and set off for the surrounding mountain area, which homed some of the most magnificent forests around. He was alone for this trek, needing some time to himself, something he had not received in a while, and this was the perfect time to have it. Stress sort of overtook him at about that time, some deaths in his family as well as those of friends, even with work. Maybe this hike would help relieve him of some of life's problems and soon enough he may be able to face the worRealms: Prologue5 years ago in Fantasy More Like This

To Minali, some few memories started to flood her mind, she had not visited this cave in a long time and to see it again made her shudder. They all entered and walked through slowly, making the time to get out about a half an hour. Sarika had no idea what time it would be back in the human world, but she knew that it must've neared the next year by now. After they all exited, Minali took a glance around, and yet it seemed that even more memories seemed to go through her. Although still in mind of trying to get back to the human world and back to her former self, she did indeed start to get use to the realm she was in now. Aldric has treated her kindly throughout the days and even showed her around some parts of the valley, but for today, they both decided to explore a huge chunk of it. This was not to say that Sarika had cautiously planned to go back to the cave that had led her into this world, she believed that on this exploration trip they may run into it again, and maybe she could walk back in and into her own world. Doing so before hand was met with much difficulty since Aldric had practically been at her side for most of the time, but now was the perfect time to execute that plan. His leather gloves creaked as Rodney gripped his battle rifle tight. He knew this wasn't going to be easy. The Crimson Lance had a reputation for brutality, not least of all toward their own troops. But this soldier had learned long ago that if he was ever going to accomplish anything, he'd need to do it as a part of something better than he was.
He hunkered down behind a pile of sandbags. The Circle of Duty challenge was designed to determine a new recruit's potential and assign him accordingly. Already he knew - they were going to kill him. He had no doubt of that.
Rodney had died before - the "New-U" replication and memory transferral procedure was quite familiar to him in fact - not that it got any easier after the first time. He just had to hold off as long as he could to prove himself a capable warrior.
An alarm sounded and he flicked off the safety. Time to bring it.
Lance soldiers began to spawn into the arena. Rodney wasted no time taking

John paced nervously, trying his hardest to stay calm. He straightened the clean pressed black dress uniform. Despite the fact that neither Kelly or he were officers they had agreed that the tradition of getting married in uniform seemed to suit them better. John had been glad for it. On the phantom ride down from the ship, I felt very out of place due to the fact that I was the only one still wearing armor. Even the shipmaster had left his armor on board in lieu of a pair of pants and a tunic. No one seemed to notice or care, though. They were too exited to have a vacation or to see their mates and children again.
From what I could tell, the Zin state was on the planet's equator, and was covered in lush jungles. Perfect for 30 mile hikes to nowhere in particular.
"So, what are we doing here?" I asked Undi, who was walking several paces in front of me.
"We are here to get you into the covenant military and to let ME have a small break from the stresses of warfare while you train. I sent in the forms this morning."
"And what happens in the meantime while I wait for the approval?" Right as I finished my sentence, Undi stopped dead in her tracks with a horrified look on her face.

Takeo impaled an unsuspecting ape in the back with his Katana while he used his other hand to cover the apes mouth, to prevent the animal from screaming. Looking to his left he saw Zoidius swiftly disarm an ape with his tail blade before decapitating it, there was a look of satisfaction on his face as he stared at his headless corpse. Takeo didn't know if it was because of Zoidius's own bloodlust or that he really hated their guts. Either way this dragon has shown to him that he can hold his own if attacked, but still they were in enemy territory they had to weaken them without them suspecting.

Remembrance Day originates at the end of World War I. The idea is to honor those who died in the line of duty, defending their country from enemies. For all its pompous words and fancy granite memorials littered with colorful flower bouquets, Remembrance Day and others like it have failed miserably in achieving this goal.
I've often been criticized as having no respect, and that can be an impediment when discussing certain topics. However, I am often in luck – hypocrisy deserves no respect. What changed as a result of the enormous sacrifice of those who died in WW1? As the first bombs of WW2 fell just two decades later, millions once again obediently lined up under various pieces of colored cloths to slaughter and be slaughtered. It became obvious that absolutely nothing had changed, and that the millions of WW1 had died in vain.
Most would agree that all that lip service paid to the sacrifice between the two world wars wasn't good enough. To truly honor their sacrifice would be
