Geisler Spitzen - Dolomites

After we arrived up here thick fog closed in and we spent the whole evening sitting in front of our tents seeing nothing. I hoped that the fog would clear over night and on the next morning we had this situation.

Mountain stream coming down from the Lac Blanc (White Lake in French), with the Aiguille Verte (4122m) in the background lit by the last sunrays of the day. This mountain is one of the most difficult 4000 meter peaks of the Alps. Its successful ascent was realised in 1865 by the famous British climber Edward Whymper accompanied by Christian Almer and Franz Biner. On its right flank rises the Aiguille des Drus (3754m). This peak is famous in the mountaineering world for its long and technically difficult climbing routes and makes it one of the emblematic mountains of the massif.

Taken in Yosemite, a little over a week ago after 2 days of continuous rain. This particular morning was still drizzling, and the mist in the valley was playing its magic. This is Bridalveil falls shot from the tunnel view.

I hope you like it!
