I sure do hope you didn't think I am dead :P

This piece s quite old now. Was done originally for ImagineFX Issue 22. Currently, you can see it on the cover of Ballistic Publishing's Exotique 3.

The version you can see now is quite different from those published, as I have recently reworked this image a LOT.

Overall, it took many, many hours in Painter and Photoshop. I also used some references (especially for the fish and the sea).

A small walkthrough with some closeups, WIPs and sketches will be available on CGSociety soon. I will edit the description with a link once it's up :)

Hope you like it, as it feels quite personal to me =)

PS. Title's from the song "Summer Wind" by Frank Sinatra

This is an image made for ImagineFX issue 54, Painter vs Photoshop review article.

Being a bit bored with painting women in dresses, I wanted to make something slightly self-ironic for a change. I don't think I've ever had as much fun painting anything. :) The trash and chicken took quite a bit of googled reference. Especially the newspapers were hell to get right. [link]

Completed in Painter X, Painter 7, and Photoshop CS. If you're interested in the closeups, they're available here: [link]

Also, here's some WIPs for anyone who's interested (don't mind the super messy color layout): [link]

Done for ImagineFX Hand Painting workshop. You can find it in Issue 16 (I also made the cover for that one) :)

My goal was to create a bold mood without adding too much unnecessary detail.
Painted in Photoshop with some help from Painter. Refs for the pendant and marble (you can see it as a custom brush used for the face marks); light and anatomy studies for the character.

Linen done with a custom made brush consisting of a few lines.

Hello there ;)

Following my new year's resolutions to update more often, here I am.

Well OK, it's cheating, since this piece has been done in 2010 for Digital Artist mag, issue 12 (I think). You can see the "making of" process there.

Done in Photoshop in loads and loads of hours. I've used an airbrush quite extensively for detailing, which was a new thing for me.

Used some refs for the flowers and gold elements, as well as posed in the mirror for quite a bit until I got the pose right. That's about it :)

It's been such a long time since I last submitted a personal art piece. So I tried something a little different. :p

Done in Painter and Photoshop.

Submitted late, since I couldn't think of a right title for this piece ;) It was done for ImagineFX Issue 78:

The point was to create an Art Nouveau/Alphonse Mucha stylization but with a modern twist. The task proved much harder than I initially thought... Also, as I don't usually work with line art, inking was a killer.

Video + workshop are inside the mag. :)

I painted that piece for the :iconkickyourownass: competition.
Task was to redo the first post on DA.
It was a lot of fun to do, and a lot of experimental stuff going on.
The first Version was from 2007, you'll find it here:

or simply watch both pieces together:

Please let me know what you think =)
