what is this? flat... lineart? blasphemy!! well really, im just posting it as a way of saying 'im not dead!', but im going to be dissappearing for a little while. if all goes well though, i'll be putting up the comic for this stupid story somewhere ~_^. that, and i like this lineart. moroi is so cute! his name translates to 'tender hearted', hence the title. aww. and those ball things are mildews. theyre sole existance in CC is to grow in damp places, blow away to dry places, and turn into dust. theyre brainless entities that explode when you touch them, and make you sneeze a lot. yay, bestiary!
Cross Canticle, the characters, the story, etc etc, is copyright meh. tis mah baby!! please please pleeeeeeeeaaaaseeeee do not use the art without asking first, i'd really appreciate that. otherwise i'll nail ya as a theif, i will!! >:E. and im not one to watermark my art directly on the subject of the picture, but i dont want this pic being used as coloring practice. no offense guys ^^.
anyway, hope to see some of yall at mecha this weekend~! though.. i doubt it. it's the convention's first year running, and its in lafeyette louisiana. oooooooh boy. but i'll be there, so i can hope, cant i? *hopes!* hey, i wonder if i spelled lafeyette right?? damn louisiana and its stupid retardedly hard to spell names...
This is a REALLLLLLLLLLLLY old drawing...I thinkit dates back to 1998 or so...but I still love it and I might just update it at some point...^_^
Photoshop for colors, sakura brush pen for inks
EDIT: you know, I just realized i'm wrong with the date. This was done early 2001 seeing as I recall showing it to one of my illustration teachers...he actually inked the first version to show me how loosely I should be inking....why the heck I thought this was earlier is beyond me...O_o I wasn't drawing like this earlier *LMAO*
drawn by ren again..ehehe...i forgot how long it took me to color..took along time >_<''
tried a bunch of techniques n stuff..came out alright nee..? (eh..just so-so)
done on pen, colored on ps n oc. =3
This is an original character I came up with the other day... The motivation behind her creation was... Hmmm... Well, I just wanted to draw something that mixes a lot of what I like together - chains, red hair, green eyes, a powerful woman, and, of course, a large bust .
I sitll consider this a work in progress - I'll be adding in a background over the next few days because I really need to practice more with scenery. Any suggestions on a good background to go with this scene? I was thinking of demolished buildings surrounding her and setting the steel balls into the ground a bit with the ground cracked and crumbled.
Feel free to download it to get the full size (1600 x 1200). To date this is the largest picture I've drawn. And dear lord I never realized how tedious drawing chain links can be.... x_x I might need a day or so of rest after this just so my hand can relax haha....
EDIT: You're more than welcome to use this as your wallpaper!
Its been a while since ive completed any traditional works of art... actually its been a while since ive comepleted ANY art....
Any how, ive been going threw some tough times, family, moving, college...etc. and this was inspired by just wanting to start someplace fresh, like when my friend and i created our RPG and started some intense relationships between characters. I just i see my retreat as the springs when my character was beginging to first develop her perosnality and finding true love
eh either way, like it or love it ^^ tell me what ya think.
