looking for you,
torn apart every hideout,
destroyed every secret.
There is no where I would not have gone.
Fine clothes, fine cars,
everything is empty,
songs are hollow.
I am merely an empty shell,
carrying on the tasks of breathing,
pretending I still live,
even though I am dead inside.
Food has lost it's flavor,
there is no color to anything,
the world, without you,
is stark and cold.
Everything seems so dead.
And still I long for you,
I would have followed you anywhere,
even across the veil,
if I knew there was a chance,
that you might still love me.
The Choice I had to makeThe masks have fallen downThe Choice I had to make6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
The sun begins to set
Pieces lie where fates met
Yet the curtain remains drawn
Once you stood beside me
Now you stand in my way
Time to move past, I can't stay
When the puzzle becomes clear, then you'll see
The reasons behind this choice
I can't explain for now
No matter what you ask, nor how
I'm becoming a non-existent voice
Something that must be done
Setting out alone
I must do it on my own
When all is said, I've won
This is not goodbye nor is it farewell
This is just a choice I had to make
Before the foundations start to shake
And things go straight to hell
Forgive me, as I won't forgive myself
I've let it all go away
To start things on my own, in my own way
It's better you'll see yourself
I won't avoid you nor will I run
I just don't want your questions now
I won't answer no matter how
This is the way it must be done
I can't share the details, I can't say why
The link between us all is gone
And we'll all be left numb
Things have gone awry
Until the EndIt was raining.Until the End5 years ago in Flash Fiction & Vignettes More Like This
It had been raining for thirty-one and a half minutes.
It would rain for the next three days.
The man stood still in the alleyway, face upturned towards the falling water and allowing the drops like tears to run down his face. He was silent and moved only to draw breath and occasionally blink.
His thoughts were a mess. The landscape of his mind tormented and chaotic, almost no stability to be found.
He drew a deep breath, allowing the part of his mind which was repeating "Do you ever feel me? Do you ever look deep down inside, staring at your life, paralyzed?" over and over endlessly to come to the fore.
After a while, he absently hummed the tune of the song to which those lines belonged, swaying gently to the beat, soundless to everyone but him.
"Hey " a voice near his waist asked, and he stopped humming and swaying and curiously tilted his head towards the voice's owner. A young boy--no more than seven, maybe eig

so far apart,
longing for each other's touch,
waiting for any chance to talk,
worrying if the other was true,
wondering if our feelings were real.
So many lonely days and nights,
only able to speak through wires.
The sound of your voice,
makes my heart take wing,
and alleviates the darkness,
that which holds me in fear
each moment we're apart...
So many fears,
would you still want me?
when will we be together?
But all that fades away,
at this, the magic moment
we've waited for, so long.
No longer separated by thousands of miles.
Able to touch, to see, to hear
for ourselves at long last.
A precious kiss, a taste of your lips.
Everything I've wanted and more.
Now that I am,
