NotWE: ThrillerThe red Harvest Moon bathed the decrepit remnants of the cul-de-sac with ruby light, staining everything the color of blood that remained even when dark clouds obscured the light for brief moments. The small cluster of homes was dead silent aside from the howls of wolves and the calls of owls and ravens alike, not even the crickets daring to chirp in the quiet. Yet the beautiful silence could not last forever when living, breathing prey remained, drawing those cursed by the moon out from hiding. Thus the quiet of the Halloween night was broken by the sound of shoes slapping pavement and heavy panting as the small group of six made a mad dash across the crimson road. A few figures shambled along behind them, groaning and dragging their feet as they stubbornly chased their dinner.NotWE: Thriller4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
The group itself was definitely a strange bunch, seeing as it included a werewolf and a werewolf-vampire hybrid. However, the humans of the group did not appear scared in the least of them, and actually looked

One month before The Future
The darkness of night had engulfed the suburbs of Peach Creek Commons, but the normal twilight sky was tinged a hunter green. The latest invasion was to blame for the eerie palette... and also for that mild, yet unmistakable smell that hovered consistently in the air. It was the kind of unidentifiable stench that came bundled up in the same package with approaching destruction.
To say the least, it was quite unnerving.
Still, it had to be ignored at the moment, as one of the imposing Plank doors leading into the Castle-de-Sac was hesitantly pushed open, the beam of a flashlight showing through the crack. So very tiny in comparison to the walls above him, the youth looked out into the street, looking left, then right, then left again.
...nothing, he spoke quietly to someone close by. I wonder if the Fusion have sleep patterns like we do...?
A soft whine was his reply, and he glanced down to fin

There was no way Shadow was getting into that lake. Sonic could coo and cajole all he liked, Shadow was not getting in.
Somehow Sonic had talked him into a race, though Shadow couldn't remember for the life of him how. Hours latter, they were still at it, legs pounding in the steaming sunlight. Shadow's mood, cocky and energized at the start, soured quickly when he had to be the first to call off, stumbling to the sand with his stomach in his throat, begging relief.
Sonic had jogged back to him panting in the heat, before pressing his finger to his lips in an enigmatic smile and claiming to know "this totally cool place".
It made a pretty picture, Shadow would admit that. They were shaded from the summer sun by a giant willow tree, so old that her boughs hung heavy toward the ground and left them in cool, sun spotted darkness. Water lapped up from under the leaves, crystal clear and so inviting. Years of its movement had washed dirt from beneath the tree, and her roots

Yugi's nervous fingers danced across the blankest of his bed as he swung his legs back and forth over the side as he waited patiently for his grandfather to finish with his work for the day. Ironically, this was the busiest day the old man had in years. That morning, Yugi had decided to follow Yugi's example and break the news to his grandfather before formally introducing him to his "fiancé".
Needless to say, Yugi hadn't stopped shaking. In the morning after breakfast Yugi, as calmly as humanly possible, told his grandfather he had to talk to him about something important, but the news was good. Solomon's expression had changed from his normal cheery smile to suspicions in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, fear got the better of him and Yugi decided that two should talk that night when there were no costumers to interrupt them. He was lying of course, and Solomon knew it, but if his grandson needed the time to calm down and tell him his secret

Dororo worked quietly in his garden. The light blue Keronian worked carefully, tending to the vegetables and pulling any weeds that threatened the tranquility of his work. The ninja went back and forth, focused only on his garden, his usually alert senses were dulled to the outside and he failed to notice the door open and another of the platoon walk in till he heard the soft 'tap tap tap' of feet. Setting his watering bucket aside Dororo turned to see the red skinned warrior Giroro. Dororo smiled behind his mask as the memories of his youth where he, Giroro and Keroro all played together flooded back to him.
''See when you have this card it boosts your soldier and you become stronger then your enemy.'' A young Dororo explained as he pointed the different cards spread out in front of him. A young Giroro nodded in understanding, his eyes twinkling with delight as his masked friend went on to show him which cards would work better together.
