i'm sorry.you think i'm losing my mind.
i know for a fact that i'm not.
i know for a fact, that i'm good.
or, maybe there's something i forgot.
this is no place to try and live my life.
this is no place to settle down.
this is a place for my strife.
this is a place to frown.
i'm ready to start this shit again.
i'm ready to try this over.
i'm ready to make amends.
i need to get sober.
i'm sorry for the person i became.
i'm sorry that i'm different.
i'm sorry it took so long for me to change.
i'm sorry, that's not what i meant.

With beliefs, divine
A part of your life
now left behind
You've no common sense
You weave a defense
Of some plan which was made
Without your consent
You justify how you behave
And choose to be, freely, enslaved
Check the cons
Break the bonds
Don't become their pawns
Escape from the hold
Say you won't be sold
No more messed up stories
From the days of old
Maybe it's time to misbehave
Show them you won't be freely enslaved
Think. Don't Know.Certainty is a plague. Avoid it at all costs. Don't be certain, ever; think, don't know. Crusaders were certain their actions were right; the radical terrorists are certain they were doing good; many criminals are certain they won't get caught. They knew, but didn't think. Think. Ask why. Ask how.Think. Don't Know.6 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
Don't ever just accept something, follow the evidence. Don't just accept there is evidence, study it, experience it firsthand, if possible. Think. Society stabilizes through doubt, not certainty, knowing leads to not trying, not learning. Knowing isn't really knowing, it's a combination of faith and apathy. Thinking is security, a blend of skepticism and activism, curiosity and caring, initiative and interaction. Don't just trust, justify rationally, and rationalize justly. Trust is good, only if it is trustworthy. Don't just know, think.

We can travel to other giant rocks
We can lose ten trillion dollars
We can kill a million people with one well-placed bomb
We can knock down towers with planes, killing thousands
We can fight a hundred wars
We can make fifty religions
We can sustain birth of sextuplet
We can deny science
We can blame science for ignorance
We can sell out arenas for fighting matches
That is all easy, what's really tough, what we can't seem to do, is get along.

In life it doesn't matter what people say or do, only what you take from it.
It only matters what you think, it's your life to live
The most important person in your life is you. Remember this.
You will always be there for yourself
Take care of yourself.
Take care of the people that love you, try for you, and hope for you.
To have a friend you must be a friend.
Learn to love and you will love life.
Open your mind, understand
Forgive, never forget
It's life's lessons and pains that teach us
Not everything happens for a certain, predestined reason
It happens so you can learn from it, take from it, and use it for your benefit,
Always keep trying.
Never give up
Never give in
You are a strong person
You will persevere
With love and hope,

The meaning of life.. + death? What is the meaning of life? The meaning of life.. + death?6 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
This is a very good question. Many believe that life has no meaning, that it's all a big joke and we should laugh at it. Ha dee ha ha.
Others believe that life has a very deep significance. For example there is a random God and he put us on Earth as a sort of trial rather than us going to Heaven directly.
A few others believe that the meaning of life is 42.
After many years of deep thought and meditation on this subject, I have come to the startling conclusion that all of the above are in fact wrong, ie life is neither a joke nor a trial from God nor 42, but simply a state of being where if one is not dead, one is alive and is therefore living and that's the meaning of life.
However, this line of thought has lead to an even deeper question which is:
What is the meaning of death?
This is a much more difficult question than the meaning of life. One might think it's a state of being where one is not alive and therefore dead, but if you're

I have a name, but Im dont want to tell you it. Actually, I dont need to tell you it, because even if you knew it, youd never find me.
Because there are probably more than a thousand of me-at least, people with the same name-around where I live, maybe millions worldwide.
Thus I live in this world, longing for individuality, but being individual makes you weird.
So Im not telling you my name because its really not that important.
This world I live in is strange. Everyone judges.
I live in a world where youre fat if you wear size six jeans, because the -cough- acceptable size is like -3.
I live in a world where music is cuss words and bad influences.

I live in a world where beauty gets you farther than talent, skill, and hard work.

A glass full of joy
When I look at you
The world seems to slow
How your lips move the certain way they do
How your eyes glisten the certain way they do
Apart from the rest and yourself you have always been
Never one to conform to the popular trend
And that is what I oh so love about you
How you aren't afraid to be you
How you don't care what anyone else thinks
Because in the end, what matters is what YOU think
And that makes me think worlds of you
You, this person of immense inspiration
A person who makes me feel like I can do anything
But you aren't a super hero
You are you, and I would ask for you no other way
For, were you any different, you wouldn't be you
And you without being you is no good
For in my eyes, there is only you
And without you, there is no me.
Education for AllFor many, education is the keystone of a successful life, but not everyone learns alike. Since everyone learns differently, this spectrum of ways to learn should be a tool in the arsenal of education. Since everyone learns differently, teachers should teach differently; different styles of teaching should be embraced. Since everyone learns differently, there should be multiple paces of learning, more of a hill than steps, five or seven paces of class. There are numerous learning style inventories one can take, and numerous outcomes on each inventory. One standardized format could be presented, and from there teaching could be designed around the result of each student. With that, since independence is a commonly respected ideal, electives should be more common, as mandatory classes tend to bog down the system, and sometimes hurt the students who hold minimal interest in the subject. That is not to say that basic clas

A love so dark
But oh love bequeath me
This feeling I have longed after for so long
Raven saturated locks ebbing and flowing with the wind
Starlight betraying the true nature of your beautiful hair
However raven like in the dark, but ever radiant in the day
A spring day
Lazily wandering through daisies, I watch you from afar
You know I am there, but you wait for me to make my move
And wasn't it you, love, who told me to make the first move?
The one who told me I was the one who had to engage you
Tell you how I feel
How the beauty of nature compliments your pretty face
And Lo! how you shine in such light
The moon's light cannot hold grace unto you
The sun's brightness cannot outshine your eyes
And oh those eyes.
How those gems gleam so radiant and with such love
The love I wish to feel, if you will only let me near
Past times have left me scarred
But your glow heals all wounds and keeps the demons at bay
If I only was as close as the wind upon your hai
Americunts, I Am Your KingI fucking hate Americuntry. We started off well, it seems. This country began with the vision for freedom; oh, sure, that was a biased form of freedom, but since then, we've expanded on those freedoms. We can have guns; we can't have guns; no one can take our religion from us. We are here to be free, and to enjoy it. We exist to fit into others standards. We slave away for a mediocre existence, of mediocre quality, with less-than-mediocre work, and complain about it all our lives. We try to be something we're not, just for attention and superficial delusions of love. The men act like sex addicts, but condemn it the moment they walk into church on Sundays. No, women, you're not fucking special; you dress in flashy clothing, coat yourselves in more make-up than clothing, and always complain us men are 'perverts'. We claim our laws are unbiased and logic, but then use them to fight for the Ten
MarriageIn this life, we learn many ideals that shape the eternal us. Who or what we choose to love & trust molds us by the contours of its definitions. We sometimes trust in a lover to complete us. Through that partnership we learn tremendous lessons about love, life, and who we are to become, discovering that it is what that person channels that we really love. Ultimately, we are married to the universe and our partners are simply the route by which we come to understand our personal connection with God. Some couples separate because of static coming between them, others because it was simply meant to be. But a true marriage is not measured just by an event that deems it so, but rather by an indestructable link that is formed by both partner's light fused together forever. Inside of that that link stands a garden that the universe will never forget. Those blended colors cannot fade from the halls of the library, for they are the candles of it's midst. For the entire war in Iraq, the press has been kept largely in the dark concerning the number of civilians killed by our forces, and what happened in the aftermath. Now several hundred files posted online reveal some of the true horror while raising questions about lack of compensation.
Here you will find, for example, that when the U.S. drops a bomb that goes awry, lands in an orchard, and does not detonate -- until after a couple of kids go out to take a look -- our military does not feel any moral or legal reason to compensate the family of the dead child because this is, after all, broadly speaking, a "combat situation."
Also: What price (when we do pay) do we place on the life of a 9-year-old boy, shot by one of our soldiers who mistook his book bag for a bomb satchel? Would you believe $500? And when we shoot an Iraqi journalist on a bridge we shell out $2500 to his widow -- but why not the measly $5000 she had requested?
This, and m
