And it Involved a School-Girl Uniform
The practice session with his Thursday afternoon student was just wrapping up when Adrions doorbell rang and rang, and rang and continued to ring. Irritated by the obnoxious noise, Adrion swung open the front door poised to give whoever was stand there a piece of his mind. Only when he saw just what was standing at his front door all thought process came to a screeching halt, and he could only stare.
Until his brain finally registered just what was in front of him.
Akira? What the hell are you wearing?!!
There standing in front of Adrions apartment door was the

Sora could feel his heart beating in his chest, as if he could hear his blood pumping past his ears. He wondered briefly why that was all he could hear, was it because it was louder than it should be, or was it because it was the only sound to be heard?
Thump. Thump. Thump.
He started to feel himself moving, not moving... falling. Slowly, as if he weighed almost nothing at all. He began to hear what sounded like wind, a soft breeze blowing past his ears as he fell.
Whistle. Thump. Whistle. Thump.
Sora slowly opened his eyes, only realising just then that they were closed... or even that he had eyes. His eyes opened slowly, they hurt as if he were looking at a bright light, but all he could see was pitch blackness wherever he looked.
"Where am I?" he said aloud, his voice seemed to bounce back at him from some corner of the darkness

Cosmo slammed the door to his bedroom open and walked in, his feet dragging. He flew across the floor and looked at the mirror positioned above his dresser. He sighed when he saw his disheveled state. His light green hair was terribly messed up, there were huge dark bags under his emerald eyes.
He and his wife Wanda had just gotten back from their recent god child, a small girl named Shelby who had been the bane of their nightmares for the 6 months they
had stuck with her. She had been one of the many god kids who acted like the only reason she kept them around was because they were pretty much at her beck and call. She had kept them up every night with her constant wishing, giving them no break.

AC - MortalityThe soft sound of linen and metal was like the melody to his life. A soft eb and flow of activity, suppose to be unheard but in the eyes of a novice, they were silent as death. Hardly the case, but he could not deny their attempt at learning. The linen and metal would be joined by leather scraping; boots being put on, gauntlets buckled, spaulders snapped. Then the soft sound of silk, red as blood that flowed in rivers from their blades as they wound the cloth about their waist. A physical war paint, a splash of death against the pure ivory of their robes. Finally more leather; the wrapping of their knife belts, attachment of their swords, one pulls his gloves on, another readjusts his shoe. They're in, they're out, they're gone on their missions to douse feathers in vitae another day long, and all he could do was shut his eyes and listen to the silence assassin's left in their wake.AC - Mortality4 years ago in Short Stories More Like This

The first thing that filtered into Hayner's mind the following morning was the sound of a door being pulled shut. He shifted, hugging the quilt more tightly to himself and listening to Seifer's heavy feet clump through the living room and return back into what Hayner assumed was the older boy's bedroom. He squirmed about in an attempt to awaken himself further and clenched his eyes shut, sitting up.
It took him a moment to focus in on what he was looking at in particular, but when he did, it became apparent that Seifer's condo looked as if it belonged to the typical teenage boy -- clothes were strewn about, and a handful of cups sat on the coffee table, along with the random empty bowl. Beside the television was a shelf of movie cases, but Hayner assumed the stack of CDs atop the television itself was where the majority of those movies actually resided.
The blond skater huffed out a sigh between his teeth, leaning his head back against the couch and staring up at the ceiling. He hadn't

In a meadow of yellow spotted romance,
they are as fragile as you seem.
I sat down on the ground and caressed the flowers with my fingers
your bright shining eye captured by the radiant sun
for a long time no sound but your heartbeat lingered
and then I whispered
is there a place where only dandelions grow,
where clouds crawl slowly,
where the light falls unhurried and gentle wind blow?
ever so slightly you nodded
lips pursed in a delicate grin,
you picked at a dandelion and prodded.
And then you said in a soft voice
we have to go,
well return quite soon,
for the sky is no longer aglow.
so through crisp night we walked together,
step by step with my heart by yours,
you tickled my thoughts like a teasing feather.
and then you were gone.
I soon returned to the dandelion fie

I had always been a huge Harry Potter fan. I'd read all of the books watched all of the films, everything.
When the DVD of the last film came out I just had to get it straight away. I was stood in line for hours, constantly thinking of the reward at the end of it all. I must have been around two in the morning before I finally got into the shop.
I ran straight for the shelves as soon as I got in but they were completely empty. All I could see were specks of dust, showing the outline of the DVD that should have been mine. I stood in sadness, I just had to have that DVD. Then, I turned and saw something that I never thought I would see. There was one DVD, stood on it's own away from the main shelves as if noone wanted it. I rushed over to it immediately and grabbed the box. I then walked over to the register, a smug look across my face infront of all the others who looked at me in despair. I paid for my DVD and went straight home, box in hand.
As soon as got in and went to my DVD player

By the time Pinkie had regained consciousness she'd all but forgotten her trip through the labyrinth.
The fighting, the balloon garden, the elements..all just foggy shapes in the back of her mind.
She fully expected to open her eyes and see her cozy room in Sugarcube Corner, her little body wrapped safe and warm in the blanket Mrs. Cake had so generously given her...
Pinkies eyes shot open.
She wasn't in her bed, she wasn't in Sugarcube Corner and she most certainly wasn't curled up in a warm blanket...
Instead she found herself high above Equestria, looking up into the endless blue of the sky while below her the sound of pouring rain and a bizarre popping sound echoed throughout the land.
Memories flooded the Party Pony's mind.
The Labyrinth, Discord, her friends laughing-
Her ears dropped immediately, her eyes squeezing shut tightly.

Something always peeved Hayner about struggle matches. It was probably Seifer's physical contact techniques that always resulted in their bodies pressing close, and Hayner being pinned in provocative positions while Seifer waved to the crowd.
It wasn't that Hayner disliked having Seifer's strong body crushed so persistently against his own smaller one, but it was the reaction that certain aspects of his anatomy happened to generate in a public arena when Seifer had his thick arm around Hayner's neck and a strong leg curved around the shorter teen's lanky one to hold Hayner flush against the blond bully's stomach while lazily smacking struggle balls off of Hayner's battle gear that would really get to him.
At the time, Hayner could do nothing but flail his arms around in an attempt to bat at Seifer in a near-pathetic manner, his knees going weak at the feel of hard hips against his backside and Seifer's breath ghosting over his neck.
Of course, after a shout of rage and a more-than-prov
Essay: Why Creating Jobs is the Wrong GoalEssay: Why Creating Jobs is the Wrong Goal2 years ago in Philosophical More Like This
We're all job creators
I recently saw a clip of Peter Schiff interviewing an Occupy Wall Street protester. Schiff asked him how many jobs he creates, and unfortunately, the protester wasn't prepared for this question. (Although it was being filmed by Drew Carey's libertarian group called Reason TV, so if anybody did raise good points against him, we'd never see it anyway.)
Contrary to Schiff's shortsighted view of the economy, common people do create jobs. We hire orthodontists, doctors, lawyers, mechanics, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, exterminators, and many other professionals. Their careers directly depend on enough working class people being able to afford to hire them.
Less directly but just as importantly, we hire businesses (and the factories and transportation companies which supply those businesses) whenever we patronize them. If they lose consumer demand (like they would if their

Why should I care that Whitney Houston dies?
Or Michael Jackson?
Sure they have made great music
I have never met them
They didn't die for a good cause
And they wouldn't care if I died tomorrow
So why should I care?
What about the hundred of soldiers dying for our country?
What about the starving children in Africa?
I would rather take a day of silence for them than hear about a celebrity's death.
I am not heartless
I just don't see the point
In caring of the death of someone society deemed 'important'
I will cry when a family member dies
Or when someone takes their own life
Or when a child dies
I won't cry when a celebrity dies
And I never will.
Society puts too much
On what they think is important
I just stopped caring.
