A children's book illustration that I've done, badly inspired from . I've always liked that kind of illustrations. Simple, pure, colorful... But I see more than that in her art. It's hard to explain... She reminded me how MUCH I love children's books. If you haven't seen her art before, i think you should take a look.
It is dedicated to ..
Happy New Year!
MEDIUMS: Various markers, aquarells, color pencils and photoshop 7.0 for snow effect.
I am so sorry about the awful quality and tiny size. This picture was taken with my cell phone.
This is Oliver and his X-Ray look.
Last January I went to the beach for some vacations. When I arrived there, there was this tiny little thing waiting at our cottage front door. When I was about to pick him up, my mother and daughter arrived and scarred the little one away. After we manage all the luggage I came back into the garden and he was there. This time he came straight for me. I took him and noticed he was hurt. So, I talked to the caretaker lady and she told me some cat had gave birth at a pile of rubbish nearby and some “boys” (if we can call them boys!!!) had beaten the kittens badly. Then I noticed the kitten I found had his tale broken. The lady told me the “boys” had taken it by the tail and swing around.
While everybody went to the beach I went to the vet. I kept him with me all week I spent at the beach and I took him with me when I came back home (it was so hard to keep him inside the car for four hours).
Now he is a happy health baby, so playful and mischievous and my pride and joy. I named him Oliver after Oliver Twist.
I will post better photos of him if he stays still for 5 seconds… lol…
