The Human SnowflakeWith winter comes the death for which its cold is known,The Human Snowflake11 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
But joining it are fragile beings of its own,
Containing each a pattern found it in alone.
Could such perfection ever on its own arise?
Or must the detailed harmony that each supplies
Be fashioned by a master craftsman in the skies?
But no such craftsman can be found within their storm,
For only simple laws to which its clouds conform
Are seen to cut the facets of their product's form.
In place of architect is found this sightless force
That every peerless pattern follows in its course,
With nothing but the laws of nature as their source.
And what of this complexity? Is not it found
That chaos cannot generate a form so sound?
And in the squall where ragged wind and cloud abound,
Is not the ruling power one of anarchy?
Would not a perfect product of such forces be
In violation to the law of entropy?
Within the tempest's hidden world of physic laws,
An order that exists in freezes and in thaws
Is sacrificed to cause what

Jesus loves children,
so your Book will tell.
But if they dont know God
Theyll still go to Hell.
You shout in your zeal,
Thou shalt not kill.
And yet your kind God
slays more than we will.
A faith that condemns
the simplest act:
Eating from a tree
the Fruit of Fact,
run by a tyrant
calling for the death
of all those without
His name on their breath,
did not sit with me.
In fact, as I thought,
I slowly became
more and more distraught.
How could this Shepherd
send all of his sheep
and not even weep?
I quit believing
in a faith of gore.
I decided to
be Christian no more.
So when someone says,
I will pray for you.
I smile and answer,
And Ill think for two.
A strange sort of loveA strange sort of love4 years ago in Fan Fiction More Like This
Love is a very curious thing. Sometimes it can take months, if not years to fully bloom, even between people who have known each other their whole lives. On the other hand, sometimes a single moment is enough for your heart to be stolen, for you to realise that no matter how difficult a journey it would be you would still do anything to break down the barriers and be with that person. Sometimes a squirrel can even be in love with a human, and the red squirrel that on this day was frantically picking her way through the forest towards a small cottage in a clearing certainly fitted into this category.
When the little red squirrel had first witnessed the squirrel of her dreams (well he subsequent dreams at least, she wasn't claiming to be prophetic) transform into a human before her, she had felt utterly heartbroken. In that instant, the world had seemed to become a terribly dark and dreary place, in fact as she perched on the treetop watching him walk out of her life seemingly forever sh

Forget their lies
Forget your ties with hate.
I'll change your fate
Try to relate
Try to erase your pain.
It makes you feel insane
This blazing rain.
It churns your heart with guilt.
Watch as your heart turns to wilt.
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
With mankind unkind
We're blurring up this fine line.
Forget their kind
Don't let your sky die
It will revive in time.
Stretch out to those who doubt.
Spread to the dead
Raise them up
Tell them enough
Say to erupt
With light abrupt
Fade to corrupt.
Speak your words
So they can see our lies.

Her precious brood
Ready for life
The eye fled the mantle of dusk
A rare dry season reprieve
From its fire
Cupped in moonlight
A terra borne infant wailed
And across the basin
The encounter was brief
She raised defences
Squat form tense
And he rolled in leaf litter
He never touched
Lest she flare
But umber eyes adored
The sleek ectotherm
Powerful in essence
Yet still dwarfed by her peers
The nuisance scared sustenance
Blind to her lethal potential
Yet jaws remained bound
But to warn
As crimson orbs
Guarded clumsy paws
That ruined her feast
They had grown together
Despite her wishes
As she woke
To fur brushing slates
Tan on ebon
She fascinated him
And from afar
Or not so
He was once overcome
And swam to her flank
Wet whiskers on hard scales
She had not growled
And he had stood vigil at her side since
Ten years passed
And curiosity tore at him
"Why do you not take a mate?"
She had smiled in her way

Youd never know.
Not a damsel, and not in distress
Not a maiden, and not locked in a tower.
She would wear heels,
But they get in the way of kicking the bad guys butt.
Never week and never scared
She laughs in the face of fear.
Spiders, snakes, even bears
Are no match for her.
No matter how tough she seems
And no matter how far she roams.
To him, she will always be,
His little girl.
Wearing a dress;
And sliding down the slide.
Six years old
And naive to the world.
The TruthWhat can I say,The Truth6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Life is not what we want.
Its like I have said before,
Its part of life!
But as we go on,
We often wonder about The Truth.
Can we honestly handle it?
We know that God is our creator,
But we all have so many questions!
Alas, we have short lives,
And cant get all the answers.
Its sad but in truth it isnt!
When we die we will know the truth!
But we all fear death,
No one lives forever.
Thats a sad truth,
Many wish it werent so!
It makes you feel awful,
And full of sadness.
But many say,
Have faith and worry not!
Its hard as many would say,
Its easy as many would say.
What is the truth of that?
Is it really easy or hard?
So easy to tell,
But hard to understand.
Oh how we humans grieve...

If you will ever
Be able to help yourself
by picking them up
And putting them away
In a small safe
Jar on the highest shelf.
Long after my dark hour
Those messy little pieces

From high off that shelf.
A boy will come,
He will lay those pieces
Of your heart
Back out in the open
Air them out,
And put them back together.
Maybe I am not your one
Who will put your heart
Back together. I am sorry
That it is me
Who will tear it

Crying WolfRivers of water filled the lands,Crying Wolf6 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Flooding by with wicked stride,
Weeping wolf, crying over the loss.
The pack once grand now is gone.
Lone wolf crying by the river,
Look up and howl to the goddess,
The river growls for more as she cried,
Weeping over the loss of her friends.
She cried as the rain ceased,
Never more will she know how great the loss.
As she cried, her tears formed a stream and in the reflection,
She saw not just her own but another staring up at her.
It was odd for her to see,
But her weeping called the goddess.
She stared at the wolf within the tears and at herself,
What more can she take before she breaks more?
She felt the goddess presence next to her,
Turning she saw the goddess and nuzzled her for comfort.
The goddess gently laid her head on the crying wolf.
Do not be afraid or sadden. She said to the wolf. Im here for you, my child.
The wolf cried more and leaned closer,
She knew of this goddess only from stories told to her,

To hide the pain that dares to shout.

Who pretends to care,
Everyone must like me,
They always talk about me when I'm not there.
We are who we are,
So what does that make you?

How she comforts you,

Goes away after time, embrace it.
For, Misery, she loves company;
We all know that feeling.
Misery, yes; Misery,
Melancholy sadness; a comfort and joy.

If you could only hear what I hear,
Then you would fear what I fear.
They're flying all around me,

But then this nightmare becomes a reality.
And the demons start following me.
But todays the day,
It's all going away,
Because I'm going to fight my way through it.

Cutting does not deserve that honor
For when you press that sharp blade
To your flesh; one thing alone will happen
You will bleed.
There is no set way everyone cuts
Cutting is not all the same sort of relief to all
I can tell you; I prefer a knife and I cut my arms
A bitter sweet moment of life and death balanced
In my blood.
People form habits an addiction
Cutting becomes part of your life and liberty
It is not safe, no certainly not safe;
Even the careful make mistakes and loose
More than blood.
I am not going to give in
Cutting does not control me, I am strong
There will come a day, when I do not think of it
For this is a habit; I cannot help and I write this
In my blood.

For her censes from the environment to get more

For instance she sees it a compliment if she is feared
This way of thinking comes from how she was raised
For to survive you had to be feared or do something for which to be praised
From the way she was raised she has learned the way of the forest
And none can sneak up on her when she disappears into it to rest
For in ways of the wood none share the art
