For my camera&lighting final we had to come up with a mock render of a potential game idea. I can't really portray much of anything related to Cain yet so this ended up looking more Silent Hillish than anything :p

Yes that be Cain's zweihander Calamity at the end, it didn't pop out as much as I had hoped, but I wasn't spending another few hours re-rendering it seeing that I barely finished rendering it all at the end of class >.>

[last few frames, and about 10 frames hold at the end, got cut off for some reason, and I have no idea why, but it sucks. the same thing happened on youtube and I hate it]

[HAHAHA you can see the last few frames on my uni blog here: [link] not that they are very awesome, though. but they are where they should be at least.]

That's my final assignment for this year, I did the character design, all planning and animation, to the dialogue provided by my tutor. Apparently, it's from The Shining. He didn't tell me until I finished this and I didn't want to know earlier, either, and I have never seen the film (I feel like that's quite an embarassing fact, though) so I wasn't influenced by it in any way, so whatever you see here is entirely my fault.

I found this scene later on youtube, though, and I feel like if I'm ever going to watch this film, it will lose whole seriousness when this scene arrives.

Probably not, though. I'm sure I would be scared to death. And then I would feel like my own character gets killed.

No way. I'm not going to watch this film, oh no.

You can watch it bigger on my youtube channel [link]

I started this animation back in mid January. This video short is a tribute to an amazing unofficial contest we have over at He-man.org called the ‘Fan Staction Contest’ held annually by Thomas Tolman & it brings about the evolution of some of the greatest character concepts ever. The Winner of the contest is transformed into a 6” + statue by Mr. Tolman. I’d like to clarify that all of these are not my original characters, each of them is created by fans at the .org. But I have done the entire Animation completely on my own with a few assists from Patreek Ireland & Andrew Cramer. This Animation has been done with Toon Boom Studio 4.5 & ofcourse Adobe Photoshop CS2 & complied together with Adobe Premiere Pro.

Also I in order to avoid any copyright issues this I came up with a totally different concept that would separate these characters from the MOTU Universe just for this particular intro & decided to name is “Chronicles of the Forgotten Realm.”

I would like to thank every He-man.org member for their support & permission to allow me to use their characters.

Last but not the least I’d like to thank Mark Palenik for creating the original music for this 1:30 min animation with his song “Lost”. Thanks Mark!

Also I forgot to credit :iconmotorhed: for his character Inkshot. Sorry bout that.

Following are the Lyrics to the song:

Lost, I was blinded in the middle of the night.
Which way is darkness and which way is light?

Down to demons shall we bow?
Does it even matter now
as I fight the lies in truths that fall before me?
Like a seed dropped in the sand
as I fight His rightous hand.
If it isn't arrogance, then what could it be?

My cries,
so hated in your eyes,
like they're just lies.

Lost, I was blinded in the middle of the night.
Before me was the darkness, behind me was the light.

So without further adue, Here’s Chronicles of the Forgotten Realm…

Some things really aren't done as they should be done, but I have next assignment now and can't work on this one at the moment.

Assignment- we were supposed to animate a character, basing it on the observation and sketches from life. We were given three themes, from which I chose 'fast food'.

This is, like, an artistic interpretation. I had some sketches of people eating burgers and chips, and really couldn't decide, guys.

okay, I looked at the video after uploading and here goes an EDIT.
since DA makes all videos smaller to fit the DA's video player thingy, you might not notice that what he is eating, is actually chips. Yes.
My masterpiece is officially ruined.

Not really. Just a little bit smaller.

Just a little animated promo for my freelance company. Kind of a nod to retro sci-fi movies.

A small compilation of animation projects I've worked on:

The first one is my solo animated short, Last Stop - [link]

The second one was a group film with Leslie Chan, Bora Moon and Johannes Uy. It was called "A present for the Eiffel Tower" - [link]

The third one was a side project done with Darwin Duka and Jay Lee at Sunscript Studios.

[All music and sound effects used here was from the royalty-free library at Sheridan College.]

(optimistic edit) Thank you, YouTube, for being here: [link] YOU HAVE TO CLICK IT (end of edit.)

(desperate edit) WHYY IS IT OUT OF SYNCH?! (end of edit.)

He is reading "The Colour of Magic" by Terry Pratchett. I wonder what Rincewind did.

Okay, you see, I wanted to animate lip sync for this guy: [link] , because I loved the idea of him having Jeremy Irons' voice (thank you so much, L16 :iconl16: :) ); and when I was looking for some clips I could use, I came across the scene from "The Colour of Magic", where Irons played Vetinari... I find this idea quite amusing, though I sense it might not be THAT funny for others.

Aaand it isn't really... entirely polished, but I won't be able to finish it anytime soon anyway, sigh.

Voice: Jeremy Irons, "The Colour of Magic" (c) Terry Pratchett, I think.

Two words: ninja ghosts!

This is just a simple little animation, playing around with a couple of my favorite animation subjects: fights and acrobatics! Enjoy!
