Debunking The Kiss TheoryIt was about five minutes before Etna finally glanced up from her book and realized that Flonne was standing right in front of her, their faces only inches apart. The blonde angel girl was trying to look serious, but it only made her appear even more comical than usual. Neither of them said anything for a good few seconds.
Raising an eyebrow, Etna spoke calmly, "Uh...what're you doing?"
"Just thinking," Flonne replied without missing a beat. She hadn't even blinked once during this entire exchange as of yet.
"About if it's true that a female devil's lips do truly taste as bad as they say in Celestia,"
Etna scowled; the last thing she really needed was to hear more about those snooty, greedy angelic sons of bitches. "Oh? Those bastards think they're so high and mighty that they can talk bad about us female demons like that?" she asked, her temperament slowly growing worse with each passing moment.
Flonne nodded. "The teachings say that if you are unfortunate enough to f
My Last RideI've looked forward to this day since the ride opened. I've always loved roller coasters, but I'm afraid of heights, so I never went on the ones with loops. It's the biggest roller coaster in the world, and this is the only park it's been built at. I had to travel from the United States to the United Kingdom, and it took all my life savings, but... I won't be needing that money anymore. I told myself I'd ride this coaster without second thought, no matter what the cost.
It's not for everybody. In fact, many are horrified by it. Hell, when I saw the scale model of it, my heart leapt into my throat and was struck by excitement and fear. I never thought it'd be built in my lifetime... it's time to face many things; my fear of heights, my fear of loops, and most of all... it's time to face death.
The Euthanasia Coaster begins with a 1600 top, and the ride up is extremely steep. It's so steep, you'd f

You walked up the blood-bathed street as a string of corpses seemed to almost pool around you. You slowly made your way around the bodies, seeing your neighbors and friends that lived near you lay lifeless on the ground. The familiar faces where butchered and mangled from the sudden change from a human to the so-called "Ghouls." This was a dream, it had to be. You pondered for a minute and then a cold rush of wind hit you, bringing you back to your senses. It was all real and yes very terrifying. You looked up noticing a few men standing a road blockade and pointing there guns at you. You took a step back and then remembered what Seras had said to you. 'You'll have to tell them your a human and not a Ghoul.'
"I'M HUMAN!" You screamed at the tops of your lungs hoping that they could hear you clearly enough to understand the message. You then
Pet Peeves for Fan FictionI would believe that we all have got them, especially people who have been writing for many years and have begun to understand the very complicated and cryptic workings of story writing. Now, these pet peeves don't HAVE to be about Fan Fiction, specifically, but they seem to be the only things I'm reading nowadays, so it's the only thing I can go to at the moment. Though, there has been a time in one of the stories I've read where the girl is dumber than dumb could possibly get, but surely there's this bright side to the ridiculous choices they choose to make (like sleeping with a teacher, mostly for his looks, and later find out he only did it for some other woman, who he liked and wanted to impress because she was evil and all that garbage, but his sentiments weren't returned at all....Ever...Yeah, if you've read the House of Night series, then you'll understand what I'm talking about here!).Pet Peeves for Fan Fiction2 years ago in Reviews & Guides More Like This

And she wasn't quite right.
Her life was unhappy
And a constant battle to fight.
Only at the age of twelve,
Poor Penny was alone.
In this world she did dwell,
But craved a world of her own.
The story of Penny
Is a sad one indeed,
For her mind was uncanny
And was in dire need
Of jubilance and cheer
In which she did not hold,
But strived to engineer
With imagination so bold.
Dear Penny was young
And was too shy to make friends,
So she invented the one
Who she'd use to make amends.
The internet is perfect
For hiding who you are,
And many would disrespect
Other users from afar.
So Penny became the person
She so wished to be,
Having no idea it'd worsen
Her sadness and misery.
Hanging out in sites and chats,
She quickly gained the trust
Of those who believed her stats,
Which were secretly robust.
Penny, oh sweet Penny,
How she went so very far
Was extraordinarily uncanny,
Why hide who you truly are?
She posted random pictures
And claimed they were her own,

When you were born, you were the most beautiful thing Rip Van Winkle had ever seen.
She fell in love when she saw your tiny hands raised in fists as you wailed in the arms of a nurse, how tiny you had been then. Though your birth was less than welcoming at first, for you were nothing more to your mother's parents than Rip's "growing disgrace" and "a stain upon this decent family". Yet Rip could not see the contamination visible only to her mother and father. Rather, she saw only the faint vestiges of the man she had passionately loved nine months previously, before he was sent away to do the Fatherland's work. More importantly she saw own countenance reflecting back at her when you opened your eyes and smiled for the first time as she cradled you like a porcelain doll. You had your father's eyes doubtless, but she selfishly saw more of herself from thereafter in your delicate facial features and lovely curls not unlike her own. Her parents be damned if they saw any fault in your purity
Prom NightSenior year in high school, I actually got to go to prom. I didn't think anyone would ask me, for I was weird, shy, and quite unpopular, but I was asked... by the cutest guy in school, James. He was definitely a heart throb, and I often watched him, hoping some day he'd talk to me. There was no way though, he could get any girl he wanted, why would he want me? So you can imagine how shocked I was when he came up to me while at my locker.Prom Night2 years ago in Short Stories More Like This
"Sally," he said, and I nearly jumped a foot in the air as I turned to face him.
"Y-yes?" I squeaked, and I knew I was cherry red.
"I was wondering if you had a date for the prom." This wasn't happening, surely I was dreaming. I discreetly put my hands behind my back, pinching my wrist. It hurt. This wasn't a dream.
"Um, no," I replied shakily, "I didn't plan on going..."
"Cool, would you like to go with me?" said James with his charming smile.
"W-with you?" I glanced around quickly. Some students were looking at us in shock, pointing and whispering to

The problem is, emo is associated with "emotion," but a depressed emotion at that. When people think of emo, they think swoopy haircut colored black, black clothing with occasional stripes, plaid, checkers, etc., hate for the sunlight, hating EVERYTHING, and writing depressing poems... oh, and cutting yourself! This is the problem...
There are people who do all these things that are not emo. I knew a very popular girl in 8th grade, Courtnie (yes, with an i), and she confided in me that she cut herself too, showing me her marks. Mind you, this was your stereotypical preppy ditz that was pretty much better tha

I capture photos of suicide.
No matter where I go, I carry my camera with me, ready to shoot anything that may happen. There's surprisingly a lot of suicides in this city and the next city over. I've gotten beautiful shots.
The most common ones are those of people jumping from buildings. Of course, there's usually a crowd of people pleading for the person to come down, so I know right away what I am about to get. I stand to get a good perspective, hold up my camera, and snap the photo right as the person plunges to their demise. I take a couple one after the other so I make sure to get the perfect shot. People surrounding me shout at me and call me heartless.
On the contrary, I am more caring than them. That person wanted to end their life, so they had a perfect reason t

Think back on your life and count how many good things have happened to you. Compare that to how many good things you've done for the benefit of others. Do they match up? have you gotten good things because you were good?
Compare that to the number of bad things that has happened to you. Doesn't seem fair, does it?

An echoing pair of voices, as tranquil and heavenly as the angels, beckon me forth from beyond; distant, yet so near. I more than hear the voices, I can feel them, particularly in my mind. The sound is like sweet, almost hypnotic music, like a pacifying lullaby, and even in the sheer darkness that engulfs me I am somehow able to find my way, as I follow my heart towards this haunting sensation, compelled as ever before. The voices almost seem to carry me, like gentle and guiding hands, and I feel light as a feather as though I am merely floating on the wind.
"I'm coming," I whisper.
And there, just up ahead, is what appears to be a great single entity of light, burning brighter the closer I approach. Finally, with a particularly warm and blinding sensation that encompasses the entire area, I am vaguely able to make out the light morphing, separating, until two figures are present.
