Facebook is bad for artists?I had some interesting findings after posted a poll on DA regarding my Facebook Fan Page. Many have commented that they are against Facebook and discourage me from posting art over there due to various reasons, and one of them due to the possibility of having my art being used freely by this social media site. So here are my thoughts based on my experience running a FB page for a year.Facebook is bad for artists?7 months ago in Personal More Like This
The main reason for me to set up a facebook page, is to extend my fanbase beyond DA, to the not so artist-oriented demographics. I have been using DA, and only DA, as my art HQ for the past decade and will always be. Facebook is acting as an outpost to connect with my fans in a more responsive manner due to the convenience of making posts, replies, making announcements and sharing images. Honestly, it is not my intention to choose between DA and FB, but to use both concurrently for different purposes.
So far I have not encountered any incident of FB using my images for advertising or any other comm

Another eventful day and I still have yet to set off for Whiterun!
I felt restored after having such a good night's rest, although I do have vague memories of dreams filled with fire and smoke. I took my breakfast alongside Hod and Ralof. Hod was a little lecherous after speaking about the lumber mill, telling me that I 'have quite a pair of trunks' on me or something to that effect. I have not said anything to Gerdur as I am not sure whether I was the source of his lust or whether he becomes overly excited about wood...
Before I did anything else I sought out the wood elf, Faendal. He greeted me warmly, calling me 'sister elf' but the illusion of dignity vanished when I witnessed his response to Sven's fake letter. Instead of perhaps taking this up with the bard or going directly to Camilla to tell her of this, Faendal whipped out some parchment, an inkwell, and a quill from his packthen scrawled out a counter letter ri

Very exciting times head!
Will be very central to lots of places, and have more work to do on future City of lost souls issues (Issue one has been well received for an independent release and quite a few folks are chomping at the bitt o get a hold of the next issue... which I have to get cracking on!)
Also have another book Illustration commission in from the fabulous Ed Wicke... It is a short story aimed at younger children, and is about UNICORNS!!! (very excited!)
On top of all this... I am getting back into the expressive things and doing work that actually means something to me. Expressive stuff that I would not normally even have the guts to draw let alone share with people but encouragement from a very good friend has got me opening my wee artist petals and going for it.
Expect to see more finger painting stuff and Photoshoots for some Body paintings! that is right, people are crazy enough to be my canvas for my fables exhibit

I have had more excitement and adventure in the past few days than I ever imagined having in my whole life. It has been thoroughly exhausting and yet thrilling at the same time. I must take some time to write a letter to my family as they are probably anxious to hear from me. I will leave out my arrest and Ulfric Stormcloak as I do not want to risk getting them all in trouble. Tomorrow I shall find a courier.
I set off for Whiterun first thing in the morning. The road from Riverwood follows the White River until it reaches a crossroads and at this point you can see the city of Whiterun on its hill to the northwest. I passed a meadery and was approaching a nearby farm when I was shocked to see a giant fighting with two warriors right there in the cabbage patch. I rushed over to assist in the fight, blasting the giant with frost to hamper its movement, and together we put him down quickly. A third warrior I had not noticed approached me. She was a wild b

5 years ago James and I first discussed City of Lost souls and becan to make notes and sketches for our project.
After a false start and a few years on hold We came back to it at the end of 2012 and I began doing initial concepts alongside my other Freelance work (mostly Portrait)
It wasn't until last year in the summer I really started to get the ball rolling on the pages themselves, and once it started it really picked up speed!
It has taken a wile as I am sketching, inking and post production all by my lonesome but James is a great writer and he gives a great visual description to get me going, as well as a lot of the P.R. Leg work!
Yesterday, May 26th 2014 We officially finished the first issue. It is headed to the printers really soon, and pre-orders in the first 24 hours have us half way to the print cost already!
We are so over the moon, it is our first release and as we are going entirely independent it is a huge step!
Issue two should
