For the Earth's sake, can't you see what's at stake?
Avoid the mistakes and choose to procreate
Your eyes are kept averted by the way they got you herded
By the loopholes they inserted into the ways our laws are worded
Which get more contorted as the rich get more rewarded
But do you read what's recorded? No! it's easier to ignore it
The time has come for the resurgence of a new insurgence
The reemergence of what's really important and urgent
We've got to strive to break away from the hive
Society thrives: yet you don't feel alive
Mankind has the resolve to solve how the world revolves
Yet some won't get involved to find from where we've evolved
It's hard to conceive with the mixed signals we receive
It's no wonder you concede when we all should secede
Too ignorant to vote, too distracted to revolt
How can we have hope when they can't reach for the remote?

What's important to you isn't necessarily for me
Back up from the screen and the drama it brings
To see there's more to life than just the material things
Drop the negativity and treat all others proper
Live positively and your life will prosper
Meditate for the answers that many have sought for
And you'll ascend to the full potential of what life has to offer
Respect individuality: politically or religiously
Diversity is the key to achieve community
You might not agree with race or sexuality
Yet treat others equally: just like how you'd like to be
The propaganda you create only propagates hate
Claiming heaven's gate only opens for your faith?
Don't feed me your lines cause I'm doing just fine
Knowing your grand design is billions of years behind mine
Some have to be right - others want to get along
Some have to fight - others want to belong
I wont judge what right or decide whats wrong

Rainbow socksSomewhere theres a girl in rainbow socks, sitting indian style on her bed looking down at a boy she knows she can't love.Rainbow socks6 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Somewhere inside this boy a part of him is dying.
She'll write his name on plastic hearts and hang them from her ceiling in between cheap glow-in-the-dark stars.
He'll carve her name into his heart.
She promised to keep them there until he could be near her.
He promised he would move near her
The boy could only whisper "I wish you could love me..."
she could only reply "me too..." before she began to cry.

Caelum Sky, Chapter 1
It began like a listless, fevered dream; my soul stretched apart like a canvas worn thin; the gentle ebb and flow of a sputtering heart rocked me slowly in a world devoid of features. Sinews of consciousness barely touched one another, sparking with flashes of life, of reality around me for just a moment before they drifted apart, back to nonexistence. My reality was devoured by something empty, barren and white. Silence in its purest form.
Drifting, aimlessly, the waves began to collect, faster then before. I strained, mind twitching with thought in my dreams, tension becoming greater and greater. More thoughts, more life! A spark, a jolt of energy, a snap of vibrancy much more brilliant than before hit me hard, snapping my mind back to reality, back to the very real world I had detached from. Everything had been white, brighter and brighter, something lovely, peaceful and new as I opened my eyes.
I awoke in the bowels of Hell. Light faded entirely, a

Meu punho sangra
Nos fragmentos de espelho vejo meus eus
Descalço, passo a passo,
Não sinto a dor quando corto os pés.
Inerte a um mundo que não me cerca
Carrego algo morto dentro de mim
Caminho sobre a água tingida de vermelho.
A banheira derrama
Seria um clássico...
Sorrio pela primeira vez em dias
Não farei isso.
Sento-me no chão molhado
Embora não esteja aliviado.
Retiro cada caco com estranho carinho
Olho em cada um, enxergando parte de mim.
Deixo-me esvair em sangue por um momento
A água continua caindo da banheira
Ainda não fechei a torneira
Pego as gazes
Fecho a torneira
Abro a porta e sorrio outra vez
Apenas para vocês
Não se preocupem...

Eu apenas escorreguei.
Loving Death storyline 2Frank and Reapus were still on the bed, they had not put their clothes back on from the shower, they were still too preoccupied with each other. They had just found love in each other and they wanted to enjoy this moment of first realisation. Frank and Reapus were kissing more, really getting into one another. They lay down on the bed, just cuddling with each other, enjoying the peacful tranquility of the scene. They were calm and relaxed, and Frank for once, did not have his mission on his mind, he could finally be freed from the constant barrage of horrific scenes of the war he was in.Loving Death storyline 25 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Is that my heart?
I guess since you're here with me,
You finally gave it back.
But why is it beating so fast?
Why can't I look away?
Your hallow eyes make my breathing stop.
The pain is becoming too much.
Tears start to form.
Before I know it they stream down my cheeks.
You turn your back to me one more time.
But I'm not letting you get away.
My fingers wrap around your wrist.
Your skin is so rough.
I'm temped to let go.
But I fight to hold on.
This is the last chance I'll get.
You don't turn around though.
You don't even notice me standing there.
My arm drops.
Have I really become that invisible to you?
You told me you loved me.
Was that just a lie too?
What happened to never leaving?
You promised I'd never lose you.
But you did leave.
I did lose you.
Just like I lost my reason to live.
You told me I changed.
I wasn't the girl you fell in love with.
But I didn't change.

The stars have lost their lustre
the summer nights gone cold
her lover's kisses, flushed with want
no longer warm her soul.
She slept a season in his arms,
their hearts and limbs entwined,
and dreamed upon his promises
and drank the wedding wine.
A love forged in eternity,
bore witness to the world
with vows of immortality
he pledged his troth to her.
But fickle gods had other plans,
begot of jealous sighs
and cut his life in silken threads
and severed mortal ties.
His lips no longer trace her path
or journey cross her skin
or pluck those fevered sacraments
he worshiped deep within
And she shall gather lavender
and make a crown of rue
a pale nosegay of memories
and tears of shadowed hue.
But late at night, the sound of wings
deep in her slumbers steal,
lingered dreams to quell and sooth
a heart that aches to heal.

she borrows her mother's raincoat because it smells like home. not the homes that are flooded with laundry soap or soft candles burning in the family room, but more like the paint she spilled on the carpet, or the whiskey on her father's breath.

"No, like Saint Steve. Yes, Saint Michael." I groaned, pulling the Colus from the ground as you could physically see Raziel remember he wasn't on our side, that he was our enemy, that this was our opposition. His face fell, looked over to Paul before looking back to me.
"Oh oh, god, we're screwed"
"Thanks for the reassurance, Raziel." I took a few steps towards the archangel, switching the Colus to my other hand anxiously as the wind blew past. The wings of light receded back towards him, folding up to still peep over his head by at least five feet as he took a few slow steps towards me, mimicking my actions. With our eyes locked on each other he suddenly smiled, bringing the sword up higher to flash it in my direction. I crouched lower, Colus in fr

I let go of one hand and grabbed the blanket back up, fingers shifting back and forth as I tried to keep my voice under a dull shout so I wouldn't alert the night attendants. Author´s Notes: (More Like Author's Encylopedia Britanica Volume I Nerd Edition Version 2.5, but just for this chapter) When I saw "How to Train Your Dragon" I could not get it out of my head how much Hiccup's nararation sounded like what you would read from a character in a Robert Heinlein novel- funny, sarcastic but also very thought provoking, too. I then thought it could be fun to write the movie novelization as though Robert Heinlein had written it (since he did write a lot of science fiction for young adults). I wrote it from Toothless' point of view. (It gives a chance to view us humans as an alien species, and we can be really weird.) First off: I can imitate Heinlein's style in a basic way, but it is just a poor imitation. If you can grab one of his books, do so. It's worth it. He´s influe
