If you’re a follower of devBUG, you already have some familiarity with Stash -- the name we’ve given to the revamp of deviantART’s exisiting submission process.
However, Stash is so much more than a simple revamp. Your Stash on deviantART will become home to all your images, writing... everything! Here's how it works:
You can drag and drop multiple files into your Stash, quickly and easily.
However, those files won’t appear in your Gallery, or to your Watchers, until you specifically say so. Allowing you an easy place to storage images until you’re ready to publish

The wonderful world of favorites!I would like to try something different with my journeling. Since I have so many favorites I would like to make a journal of photographs and a few drawings from the great artist's who created them! It's different, I am not sure how it will turn out. Every week I see so many pictures that are just wonderful, they touch our lives and make us appreciate those who take them! It is giving the recognition to those people for their work. Like anything we do, we only get better with time. I do hope that I don't affend the artist's who created these great works of art! Instead, I applaud them for touching so many people including me!The wonderful world of favorites!9 months ago in Personal More Like This

New Username Symbols: Extended ThoughtsTwo weeks ago, we released two new products – deviant and art Mentions and new username symbols. Gratefully, and as we'd hoped, many deviants are embracing these changes in exactly the ways we'd anticipated, and the ways we ourselves did over the past several months of testing. While some deviants embraced the changes, it's fair to say that others have felt surprise, curiosity, and maybe even shock. These feelings are totally normal, but for the large part, there's a hope present. A positive outlook. The first steps in a new era that makes the way for our goals in the future, and, at the same time, removes clutter and confusion that new deviants often experience.New Username Symbols: Extended Thoughts2 years ago in Personal More Like This
As with any change, there are a handful of deviants that don't understand why we made the choices we did
Astounding New Technique for Smoothing PrintsI've just come across a seriously amazing new technique for getting prints that look as good, and sometimes better, than injection-molded plastic.Astounding New Technique for Smoothing Prints2 years ago in Personal More Like This
It only works with ABS, so those of you who print with PLA - this won't help you any. Sorry.
Here's a couple of prints my buddy made and did this to -
Seriously! He printed those on a RepRap! You'd never ever guess it - no visible layers AT ALL.
Here's a video demonstrating the technique - the video is kind of crappy, sorry - hah. I've personally tried it and it's AMAZING how well this works.
Here's a blog post that explains the steps better than the video -
I also did my own using the technique which can be seen here:

FAQHow did you get started?FAQ4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I've always sculpted as a hobby and am completely self taught. In April of 2010 I decided I wanted to finally try my hand at selling my work. I started posting things on etsy and DA and veeery slowly people started noticing. My first couple of years relied heavily on commission work.
How are you so popular? I just started making sculptures too but nobody notices or buys them?
It took well over two years before I was actually getting fulltime work with decent pay. It took a TON of hard work. I sold my work for far less than I should have, because I needed customers. I also did a few shows, to get some exposure by handing out business cards. I made things as often as I could, posted often, and made sure it was very clear I was open for commissions. I posted links on everything. You have to make it easy for people to find the info they need! I posted mainly on etsy and DA, then made a fanpage on facebook very late in the game. Probably sh

Why are we doing this?
Why not?! We wanted to add this discount as a small token of our appreciation for all the support Premium Members provide us. While we have many more upgrades in the works for the Premium Membership package, I'm excited that we were able to get this to you all in time for the holiday season.
How's it work?
Favorite Feature 10It is never my intention to make such a long feature of pictures. I just can not resist the huge array of great photographers and their artistry! Their pictures bring us such love and joy, it reminds us of our deep love for our own cats, as well as the ones we have lost. I wanted to bring the joy of what these precious little creatures mean to us. Precious they are, just look at this first picture! I can't express the depth of emotion that it envokes in a single word! I also love, love, the relationships between people and pets! Cats are our joy, our comfort, and what often keeps us going in an ugly world of many of life's hardships. A big thank you to all the great photographers for their wonderful work! You bring me such joy with your work and I am not the only one!Favorite Feature 107 months ago in Personal More Like This
Update and Feature!First a ton of awesome pics!Update and Feature!2 weeks ago in Personal More Like This
So, I've been at a family reunion all week and I really want to go out on a photoshoot soon. kaleidoscopial Will probably be my model and it will be a lot of fun. I'm not sure what else I could do for photos just around the house, considering I've lived there so long with a camera XD
We spent most of the day inside and hanging out today and most days haven't been all that exciting.
Ummm, that's about it! If you want to be featured in my next update note me a picture(or more than one!) I want to move away from featuring my favs, and move towards featuring my watchers and their favs.

SNIPPY: REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAYOctober something, something.SNIPPY: REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAY4 years ago in Personal More Like This
Today captain declared as "REMEMBERANCES OF THE PAST DAY".
The day begun with me getting smacked with a broken laptop and yells "YOU'VE GOT MAIL!".
I tried to protest that laptops weren't attacking people in the mornings back in the past. To this, Captain declared that in fact they didn't have to, because users were so addicted to reading their daily mail facts that every morning they woke up smacking their heads on their laptops.
Then my head was treated to a barrage of empty, metal SPAM cans with words "SPAM MAIL! DODGE THE SPAM! USE FILTERS!".
With these words, captain gave me two old tennis rackets. The tennis rackets had yellow duck-tape stickers on them with words "DELETE" and "BLOCK EMAIL ADDRESS".
The spam can attack didn't end there, Pilot's job for today was hiding behind building ruins and throwing the spam cans at me at random intervals with yells of "INCREASE YOUR GENITAL SIZE!", "RUSSIAN BRIDE LOVES YOU" and "I AM NIGERIAN PRINCE WITH 56 BILL

Quick Tips: On Referencing AnatomyReference from real life whenever possible.Quick Tips: On Referencing Anatomy4 years ago in Personal More Like This
When you reference or copy from another artist's studies/sketches/art, you may be copying their mistakes as well. Furthermore, an artist's studies are their notes and --just like with history or chemistry notes-- copying someone else's notes will not help you fully understand the material. To completely understand anatomy, you must take your own notes and build your own understanding through observation.
This is probably a no-brainer for many artists but... scruffynerfherder and I were talking about this last night, and with the increase of "anatomy studies" showing up on dA's front page, it's been on my mind. DA's resource category has some great material, but I also feel like there is a lot of misleading information taught by amateurs who really probably shouldn't be teaching things like shading or anatomy, because they have a less-than-stellar grasp on it themselves. I'm not trying to knock anyone here, but it's a bit tr

Remembering Childhood #2: Fantastical MindsFor a short post, here is a collection of deviations that remind me of pretend games or fantasies that I remember having as a kid.Remembering Childhood #2: Fantastical Minds3 years ago in Personal More Like This
By :iconDerekHunter: This is a game my brother and I played CONSTANTLY! Only the sharks occurred in the Dining room, after we stretched out the living room couch and the throw pillows, our bedroom blankets, etc. I was delighted to see that someone captured this in such a perfect way!
By :iconJaredWingate: Having 3 younger brothers, I witnessed this little game of theirs too many times to count. I always got stuck being the damsel in distress... or Catgirl or Batgirl if I was lucky.
By :iconzilla774: Another reason why Monsters, Inc. was such a cool movie - what kid didn't have that moment in their bed where they suddenly thought something else was creeping around? As cool as it was for me to get my very own bedroom as a kid, I had no idea how terrifying it would be.
