Hi everyone! This is a second abstract movie. The title is TERMINUS. This means boundary between real and abstract world. To produce this, I spent for seven months. This movie includes my many scenes that uploaded to dA. The rendering time was about 30 hours for a scene of 1 s.
The sound used in this movie was made by my friend. I think that he is one of the great composers. I want to say thanks to him.
This is technically my first music video. I spent a very long time working on this, i couldnt give a total render time because of all the different programs i used. The main aim for this was to get to grips with different kinds of synchronisation, i tried all sorts. All in my spare time, since i havent started working yet.
# For the first part, i used a technique called filmstrip editing, where i edited all the frames in photoshop. then After Effects was heavily involved.
# The second part is mainly chopping and editing in Premiere, the interface is excellent on there, you can really enlarge the waveform to see where youre going.
# The final part was a long cut in cinema 4d where i edited movement and keyframes from inside c4d along the waveform. I also used an after effects script to import waveform data to keyframes for attributes in c4d.
# Finally, i shouldnt need to say, I used After Effects for post production on every stage, its been a great learning experience, though a tedious one
Its quite rough, but im a one man team and i could easily see myself having spent infinate time on this, i had to call it quits at some point.
I used fruity loops to create all the music from scratch.
Some video I took of a day at the Japanese Garden in Portland Oregon. There were a lot of spots that were great that I did not include because for various reasons the footage did not turn out so I think I am going to make a trip back in the fall and try to get some more footage. If you are ever in the area this is the perfect place to lounge around and read a good book.
I know many of you have seen this already, but I did want to put it up in the film section, because...that's what it is, a film I feel bad that I can't keep the comments from the first submission intact though, I tried editing it by changing the category, but that's not allowed for some reason.
This took about 5 months to make, (from January to May) I personally think it's a bit of a hack film since I observed a cartoon that already exists to make it(which, sadly, is no longer aired) and I think the other classmates films are more original
Synopsis(and this is for those who are interested in the film alone):
After a critical mission ends in disaster for a group of rebels and much of their participating members are turned into mindless slaves, one of their own can no longer bear seeing their valiant efforts canceled out due to lack of resources.
Afterwards mysterious message tells her that some of what had been lost during the takeover of their home may be able to be reclaimed, but to do this she'll have to venture into her now polluted and dangerous former city home...
Just a compilation of my previous Apo animated submissions. Now hosted on DA instead of youtube thanks to FallenRox [link] who invited me to dA Film Deviations.
Due to copyright restrictions, I am unable to use the soundtrack used in my YouTube submissions as the tunes are licensed to YouTube so I composed my own little crappy piece in FL Studio 8 to fill the audio void.
Tools used: Apophysis 3D hack w/ apophymator script VirtualDub WinAvi FL Studio 8 (soundtrack) 3/4 pack of cigarettes
Be sure to download the source file for best quality.
P.S.: Contains previosly unreleased apo footage. Enjoy!
This is a short animation of Nadal doing a serve in tennis. I had to do this for an animation test for a company that is looking to hire me. I did this in a very short 6 hours or so. I could have polished this off a LOT more, but I wanted to do it in a fairly fast amount of time because I'll have to when I'm actually working for a company... so it was a test of my time management too I really need to work on my workflow.
