I've been scribbled out ~ lost it all in the fight ~
at one point I even forgot what I was fighting for.
But I do know this: they are all gone. I am not sure if I just misplaced my pencil or someone else won my words ~ as if they are stapled to some random wall with a pretty blue ribbon and I am left with an honorable mention plaque made from Paper Mache.
Or maybe it is me that is scribbled out. Someone has taken their dulled pencil in fist and rubbed the paper raw, rubbed it right through until all that is left is a huge hole and the desk is covered with a thick layer of lead.
Is that all I am? lead on plywood? Som

World's FallI've no one to turn to,World's Fall6 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
Nobody to call my own,
The world has gone and left me,
I must reap what I have sown.
My mind is troubled,
Been abandoned by all
Before too long, I will be gone
And the world begins to fall
Life has become too complicated
For a person such as I
No one cares if I live
They have condemned me to die
But someone is still out there
Someone still watches over me
She gives my heart strength to soar
I can finally be . . .
I don't care about this world
Because this world has let me down
I won't resign myself to fate
And you won't even hear a sound
Nothing in life is certain
But there's one thing I do hold tr

and dancing on a dream
I thread together falsity
and I tighten up your seam
I'm the things that you cant see
when you close your eyes
I'm that whispering breeze
That carries all your lies
I'm the writing on the wall
That no ones ever read
I'm the cause, rebellion, and fall
for a legend never led
I'm that feeling in your gut
I'm the punchline of this joke
I'm the ever bleeding cut
And all the things that make you choke
I'm the rattle of life leaving
I'm the image of pure wrath
Though my looks are quite deceiving
I tell you I am death

A Wolf's HowlI sit here at nightA Wolf's Howl3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
My body tired, my mind torn
I wait.
Sitting on the edge of a landscape overlooking all that is below me
I wait.
Wait for the day it will all return to harmony
Harmony until my last dying breath
For I have suffered and am suffering
I wait.
Pain seems to be the only thing that sits with me
The smell of blood trickles into a puddle beside me
I wait.
Finally I see it
The soft warming glow of a full moon
Her beauty entrances me
My head becomes light
My body ceases to ache
I let out the mournful howl of a discouraged soul
That has been hunted all his life
And only wishes that someone
Would hear.

Walking AwayMy time here is at long last coming to an endWalking Away2 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
For the next part of my life what do you recommend
It has come to a point now where I am counting the days
I can't wait to leave, but I dread to think we're parting ways
Although I will come to miss those I have come to care for
Though this is something most of them are going to ignore
Though it doesn't bother me, as so few I truly care about
Though talking about it is something that I will go without
My inner most thoughts to only one person I portray
There is ever so much to you that I wish to convey
But I don't have the guts, so quietly I'll walk away

And live a lie.
Mommy dearest,
I'm sorry to say.
But it's true,
I'm part queer.
I just wish,
That I was brave enough.
To say that out loud,
To tell it too your face.
But I'm a coward,
And I hide away.
There are times,
I slip up with what I say.
Outside I smile,
Baring all my teeth,
Playing off what's been said.
On the inside,
I shake and quiver in fear.
Have I been caught?
Or am I stuck?
Still trapped within my act?
What would you do,
What would you really say?
If you only knew.
Mommy dearest,
Would you still love me,
For me.

I wish I could see over the horizon,
past the white sailboat in the distance
which points upwards at the sky;
nothing is visible except a few stray
clouds, a flock of seagulls, and a
lost dream.
I could chase after it like a pro angler,
but seems my line of choice is a hook
and sinker - fishes won't latch on unless
you have the right bait; good looks,
some money, and a bucket of overused
cliches.
I am strong - weathered the elements even
though they etched grooves and contoured
lines into my soul; I stand firm on my own
two feet and let waves crash onto me
with a little bit of hope, a saving grace

It is when the sun is not quite up,
and the moon has not quite disappeared from the sky,
that they appear.
A creature so sweet and beautiful,
is always captured by my own species.
They kill this creature,
and put it up for display.
'A fine specimen,' my father would say.
Let it be those who capture beauty,
That can never become the beauty of a butterfly.

More of you,
not that cheap whore.
What are you thinking now,
as I tell you I know,
and you wrinkle your brow?
I may not be cupid
or a fortuneteller,
But i know you're playing stupid.
You think a little innocent lie can help you here,
you think the end surely isn't near.
I'll tell you once more,
I've found out you're nothing but a whore.
Where is he?
The one to hold me close,
the one my family approves,
the one I'm not emberassed to talk about?
He's surely not in you.
You're surely not mature.
My footsteps are alone,

Here in this village underneath the blood-red sky,
We listen to the screams, which are our lullaby.
Another shall be sacrificed,
Another one shall die.
Stray murmurs flutter by. Don't spread the rumor
Or to the gallows you'll go.
Death to the one who has sinned.
The distorted crowd gathers for the midnight show.
The carrion birds are circling .
Here in this village where the moon doesn't shine,
We live in the gloom, surrounded by the night's embrace.
Don't cry. Hide those tears,
Unless you want to face your deepest fears.
We who inhabit this village, twisted and lonely,
