25 Things I learned being a Comic Artist in 2011The following list contains intense amounts of SARCASM for the purpose of satire and humor.25 Things I learned being a Comic Artist in 20114 years ago in Personal More Like This
1. Never offer artistic advice or hint at the possibility that the way young and inexperienced groups of artists work might in some way be flawed.
2. Every comic must be inherently drawn better and be funnier than the last.
3. Humor is NOT relative/subjective.
4. Nothing is funny. Ever.
5. Even the most trivial aspects of your comic must be taken 100% seriously.
6. Failure to incorporate conflicting suggestions for improvement = incapable of accepting criticism.
7. Trying to quelch flame wars also inexplicably = incapable of accepting criticism.
8. Trying to explain your artistic decisions = incapable of accepting criticism.
9. Having lots of watchers = having an inflated ego.
10. Reaching the frontpage = getting Daily Deviation.
11. Every character you draw (even ones you do for commission/jobs) = your personal opinions and beliefs which you must obviously follow rigidly IRL.
12. Never change y

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be another “ism” on the art world horizon, what with the growing accessibility of all
art technique and technology rendering all the “schools of art” equally available and doable and therefore making impossible the dominance
or even existence of any current art “movement” … comes “suggestivism,” the “ism” best summing up what art is in our lives today, defined
more by what it is not, rather than what it is.

Seriously. He will steal your art if you tell him you don't want it in his group/club/etc.
Tell him no, and he'll upload it to his account and submit it to his group, then complain that your art's bad anyway. (???)
Not to mention English that sounds like it's from Google translate.
I thought I was the only one who was annoyed, but turns out his gallery is full of stolen art.
SO HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED WITH ME:
His group requested one of my pictures ( the Pip and Luna one ) literally 20 times, I said no each. (AKA GROUP SPAM)
Then he personally came to beg in the comments http://comments.deviantart.com/1/265178846/2273070077 .
I say no he immediately pulls out the 'i'm sorry let's be friends' and then I find my art all over his account.
Week later I come home and find http://comments.deviantart.com/1/265178846/2329457232 .
So I explain that he ignored me and stole my art.
And he tells me 'you is not th

the kali yugaIn Hinduism, the Kali-Yuga is the last of the four yugas (ages) which together make up one cycle of creation. The Kali-Yuga, in which Hindus believe we are now living, is characterized by wickedness and disaster, and leads up to the destruction of this world in preparation for a new creation and a new cycle of yugas.the kali yuga11 years ago in Personal More Like This
The Vishnu Purana, one of the oldest sacred texts of India says about the Kali Yuga:
"The leaders who rule over the Earth will be violent and seize the goods of their subjects... Those with possessions will abandon agriculture and commerce and will live as servants, that is, following various possessions. The leaders, with the excuses of fiscal need, will rob and despoil their subjects and take away private property. Moral values and the rule of the law will lessen from day to day until the world will be completely perverted and agnosticism will gain the day among men."
American Internet Censorship Bill Part 2Yesterday I posted a journal about my thoughts on the American Internet Censorship Bill that was being voted on by the House of Representatives. Within minutes of me posting I found out that the bill was defeated by a majority vote (though a very close one). So for now our precious internet is free once again, but it also raises an entirely different discussion...American Internet Censorship Bill Part 24 years ago in Personal More Like This
A lot of the comments I saw on the various websites I went to dealt with upholding the true definition of "freedom" on the internet. It was quite apparent that a lot of people who were upset at the idea of internet censorship were more or less concerned that they might have to be held responsible for their bad behavior online.
See, we all participate in illegal activity online. If you've ever downloaded a movie, or used a torrent, or uploaded images that weren't your own, or played an emulated NES game, or even uploaded video clips from a TV show to YouTube... you're technically participating in illegal activity.

I am wary of my following message not being received with the full gravity it deserves. It is not my intention to unduly alarm the deviantART community, but... LaurenKitsune is at this time unaccounted for. All attempts on our part to contact her have failed. It is my hope that she has simply taken a much deserved unscheduled pre-Halloween “vacation” and will be back in online communication soon.
Before going dark, LaurenKitsune was good enough to write and transmit a report on the Slender Man phenomenon sweeping the Internet. That report is published here fo

This is a bit awkward to type because my cat decided to lay down on my lap and demand to be petted ._. I think he's figured out how to make a smoulder face. Not even joking.
Anywho. Now that I should actually have time to things I should be uploading some things; I've got a piece of fanart I'm working on and some photos to upload when I get my camera sorted out.
Small rant about cameras. I don't understand how on a digital camera's screen everything will look perfect, but that's never what it looks like. Why. This makes no sense. :iconsighingplz:
Well I guess that's it for now, Happy almost Christmas to all~
Cleaning your freakin' roomHaving ADHD gives you a lot of trouble through life, most of them aren't that big of a problem, but there's two main problems which is concentration and organizing.Cleaning your freakin' room4 years ago in Personal More Like This
I am an expert at making stashes of stuff. Mostly old bills I've already paid but haven't get rid off my desk. And since I travel to school by train, I leave my home as soon as I wake up, and then come back around midnight. Which means I'm too tired to actually fix the growing mess.
And as time goes by, the more and more stashes and dirty clothes on your floor and all those comics you bought to read but never have time to read, will create a chaos that would make the chaos-god Discord purple of envy.
And during the weekends, my ADHD-brain tells me more or less that "there is no mess, it's your own organized chaos! Now go draw something cool!".
But every second month (or more...) I get this rush of frustration.
I call this "BLITZKRIEG CLEANING".
The title says it all. Clean the fucking room. And do it qu
A few thoughtsSo...before I start, I once again apologize for the lack of posts of any kind. Trying to get my footing in school, socially, etc. Still working on the concept of what I'm doing with the Sherlock and Portal stuff; less on the drawing stage in that area, but also redoing an old deviation of mine, Mafia Romano (http://feartakyuubi.deviantart.com/art/Hetalia-Mafia-Romano-168505635).A few thoughts3 years ago in Personal More Like This
Anywho! My thought is about art, learning art. People often say that their pictures don't look like the person they're attempting to draw, the landscape they're painting, etc. I think that a large part of this is lack of attention to detail, especially with faces.
One must look into every detail with a face. Every subtle line makes that person, well, look like that person. The small things matter much, such as the curve of the eyebrows and the expression on their face. Everyone has a different smile, for example. If you made everyone have the " " face, that wouldn't really help, now would it? xD

Happy birthday, :iconlawbreakerfoxy:.
I wish I could will myself into believing you could read this, but you can't, and I know that. Nevertheless, this message is for you.
You would have been 16, huh? That seems so young now. Don't worry, you aren't missing anything in sophomore year of high school. Nothing of great importance has happened and all the talk is the usual, dull gossip. You would have been able to drive. What a crazy thing that would've been. Scary. I wouldn't have gone on that red motorcycle you wanted with you, even if you tried to force me. Of course you would state to the contrary.
That story we were writing, "Not All of Us Are Angels"? I haven't written a word more from it. You would've guessed as much, you knew me all too well. I love it, but I can't bring myself to write another word. You once said that it was like a journal of our lives in one way or another, if

Illustration XIII: The Collection Series - 'Four'Illustration XIII: The Collection Series - 'Four'1 year ago in Art Features More Like This
The lovely works included within this feature come from across deviantART, and were made by artists of many illustrative backgrounds; both beginners and professionals mingle-- those who specialize in traditional media, as well as those who delve into digital methods. Whether an artist is just beginning to find the sort of art they enjoy creating, or whether they have been doing it for years, makes little difference here, in that I find all of these pieces to be beautiful and inspirational treasures. Many of these styles are representative of the artist, so if you see something you like, feel obliged to explore further! As I always say, these are my favorites-- go find what you love!
This is the fourth in The Collection Series, illustration features meant to showcase a number of works (in this case, "four") from a various array of artists. As the series has progressed, it
