The SacrificeHand in hand with death and sorrowThe Sacrifice4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
I walk the path your ghost can't follow
A breathless, dreamless urgency
My heart decays to set you free
And though I die..
..You'll live tomorrow.
Portrait of a Mourning HeartShe calls to me, her whispers hauntPortrait of a Mourning Heart4 years ago in Songs & Lyrics More Like This
Her ghost enshrined in moonlit rays
She weaves through fractured Angels and stones
Sharing the garden where she lays
In the ashes of an indigo sunrise
I mourn the love torn from my hold
Wrapped in wings of desolation
A damned soul sold ten fold.
Each year of need never satiated
Starved of life; a lingering death
..My knell at last is toll'd..
..My fate sweetly foretold..
And thus I save my dying breath.
Beneath the ground my screams resound
Our constellation blind from sight
Our tree bleeds from initals carved
Unseen within the arms of night.
Love's artist paints with crimson blood
I'm drained and my dreams weep
It vanquished light; my broken heart
Descending to eternal sleep.
A Creation of LoveA Creation of Love4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Your breath is the sweet scent of lilies
intoxicating all thought
All I know, feel and see is you.
The sensation of each whisper against my skin
Your hair gently brushing my breast
As you kiss the core of my soul.
The wounds of each historic tragedy
are healed with our sealed lips.
And songs sung in the dead of night
to render all the stars so bright
Shall live beyond our years
The timeless music of eternity.
We transfused our blood into each other's veins
Each infusion of your essence left me bound
Addicted to all that you are.
Your absence brings the sweetest withdrawals
Desire unfurling like a rose within my chest
The hunger for your warmth and the darkness of your light.
Our souls are weaving irrevocably still
And soon I shall breathe no other breath but yours
And the arteries and veins that sustain our hearts
Shall be tied in one grand structure of art
The architecture of love.
The next time you sleep with me embraced
We shall breathe as one with a single heart
With you inside me,
DeathlessMy only comfort, this bed of earthDeathless4 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
The blades of grass caress my cheek
Stirring memories of your gentle fingers
A touch that left me weak
The beauty of Heaven shines down on me
But I am lost within my mind
As I cut through the life line engraved in my palm
For the love I cannot find
My heartbeat pounds against the ground
But you sleep beneath me breathless
I close my eyes in constant dream;
Your face remains so deathless
In broken whispers I sing you my song
A murdering melody
My arms ache to embrace you now
To end this tragedy...
The ashes of a Saint. Here in the shadows kissed by candle flameThe ashes of a Saint.3 years ago in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
My heart weeps its song as I whisper her name.
A vestal Queen of the purest kind
A haunting face I'll never find.
I fell for every fools advice
From grimoire pacts to sacrifice
I danced upon the Devils stage
Each failed attempt consumed with rage.
My Angel whom God did betray
From my side they stole her away
His servant whom he did forsake
Bound and burned upon the stake.
Madness may you call my love
My soul; it screamed to God above
My need is deeper than desire
To gather wings ravaged by fire.
Blood now stains my broken hands
I've murdered light throughout the lands
And now I fear her ghost is lost
As my damned soul forfeits the cost.
I want her back but death adores her
Bleed as I had always for her.
My broken heart knows only pain
Tonight I'll die for her again...
My ImmortalThe shadow of who he used to beMy Immortal4 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Still lingers; a ghost in the night
swaying in a dance of memory
Of hours past that I held dear
Conducted by the scented candles
With his name carved into their waxen flesh.
Whispers of a life that inspired my dreams
Echoes of a heartbeat so pure, so true.
A silhouette of love that breathes only in darkness
In the slumberless void of my solitude.
I watch him weaving through my thoughts
Numberless sighs escape my lips
And my arms reach -hopeless- to pull him near
Only to embrace my wretched self in the dark.
I know him only when I am alone.
I keep him safe, untouched in my heart
The portraits I paint are dated two years
Of a man whose eyes sang lullabies
Whose pride was love, whose pain was loss
A man that taught me ultimate devotion.
His shadow beckons when the clock strikes three
And I follow him into the night
We stand again beneath the stars
His outline deep, kissed with moonlight
The rain gently begins to fall
And all his words my ears recall
