Mistakes Chapter 2 Chapter 2Mistakes Chapter 26 years ago in Teen More Like This
I drove for what seemed hours, going no where in particular. I turned when I felt like I should turn, and lost all sense of direction. I wondered if I was even in the same state.
The road became narrow and the pavement ended; the path was now made of dirt and grime. It appeared not many people came this way.
I drove all night knowing that I was driving fast enough (Never going under 120) that I might cross the boarder to Canada soon, or for all I knew, Mexico.
I came upon a grand looking hotel and it just looked right to me. Stopping the car, I parked in front of the double doors, and waved away the man who was supposed to take my bags; I had none. I tossed the keys to

I heaved a heavy sigh and stepped into the lunchroom cafeteria. High school was one of the worst things that had ever happen to me. ONE of the worst things, though the first thing on that list kinged high school.
I bit my lip trying not to remember the memories that burned so clear they were impossible to forget, no matter how hard I tried. Even so, I had to forget, it wasnt something that I allowed myself to relive. The pain was too much the first time, even just thinking about it brought back the old scars.
My lower lip curled over my teeth as I thought of his name. Derek. He was the one who

I rushed past the doors into the crowded room. A hundred hot bodies crushed together, and navigating through them was nearly impossible. I pushed my way through the swaying, yelling sea and tried desperately to reach the kitchen.
Nearly falling on my face more than once, I finally made it into the little archway and the only visible bubble of air. I took a deep breath and enjoyed the feeling of oxygen in my lungs. I wasn't sure, but I thought I had lost them; the vigilant group of guys that always followed me around at these parties. I almost hadn't gone this time, but my mother needed time alone with dad and she said I should go and be happy. I had rolled my eyes and thought, right. I'll go, but I have more of a chanc

Right here if I needed him. I repeated his words in my head. It had been so long since Id been alone. It hit me suddenly, and I froze, a smile spreading over my face.
I didnt have to worry. The police had caught him. He was in jail. There would never be another face at my window. There would never be anymore threatening phone calls. I would never have to worry again and obsessively lock the doors and windows. I was FREE.
Dressing quickly, I nearly skipped back to James. He was talking to someone on his cell phone in an official sounding voice.
Who cared? Not me. My new freedom gave me a strange high, and I threw myself onto James lap.
He looked surprised, but willing. He rubbed my back as I waited for him to finish his conversation.
When he finally snapped the phone shut, I threw my arms around his neck and kisse
Test Subjects 5We pulled onto his street, and he slammed the breaks. There were police cars. The old kind you saw in black and white movies. The kind that held a bunch of people in the back. They lined the street on both sides.Test Subjects 55 years ago in General Fiction More Like This
But what was more frightening . . .
Hundreds of policemen ran up and down the streets, some help fighting children in their arms. The large police cars held their back doors open wide, and the children were shoved violently inside with children from other neighborhoods.
I noticed, with alarm, that no parents stood crying on their door step. There was no tears and violent protests from any adults. Just the kids.
Before I could tear my eyes away from the scene, Andy gunned the engine and sped in a u turn, squealing back the road where we had come.
Suddenly, I was sure that he had not been wise. I waited for the police cars so follow us and track us down, shooting us like it said I all the stories.
They didnt follow. I was very confused.
We have to pick up Eric.
MissingA loud noise made me look up from my book. I was surprised I had heard it over my music, and I looked up. I tried to concentrate on the story I was reading but the sounds, a voice, kept distracting me.Missing5 years ago in Mystery & Suspense More Like This
I closed the book and pulled of my headphones. Who in the world was yelling at this time of night?
I swung my legs off the bed and went to the window, opening the blinds a little bit.
A tall man was standing at my neighbors side door. I didnt know the couple well enough to recognize the man or if he was even the husband, so I hadnt the faintest idea of what he wanted.
He had brown hair and was wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt, and beige shorts despite the cold night. As I watched he shoved his hands into his pockets and yelled again. It sounded like he was yelling the name Kelly. I wondered if that was the womans name that lived there, and why he didnt use the front door.
He appeared to get very frustrated and banged on the door. When there was no answe
