patswerk was asked to do a mural for a local radiostation. So we did. Lots of masking tape, blue paint fumes and fun. And of course the crappy pictures due to lack of light by the time we were done..

I know, I promised.. no more falling deer versions anymore.. BUT this is different! It´s my first traditional painting on wood. Just water ink and a glossy finish. It takes part at the deerBLN art project of Christian Rothenhagen [link] and his running exhibition [link] Thanks, Christian!

Looking forward to your comments!

Look, pigtails!

A friend of mine wanted a mural in his living room, with a beautiful woman in it, his black cat, and something from South America for his brother.

It's not my fault so many people like black cats... :)

It might look half- finished, but it isn't. I like this painty, not perfectly detailed look.
Although the cat looks kinda scary and the girl more or less anorexic...

5 hours, was a great day
The journal I wrote about it: [link]

Basically I was given the chance to design the mural for the principles office at Gloucestershire collage…

And here it is XD

Although I designed it I wasn’t alone in painting the final piece (thankfully),
It took me and a team of about 7 people around 3 weeks to complete...
(Working at about at about 9 hours per wk) from black line to painting to touching up.

The style was derived closely from the works of Jon Burgerman and was amazingly fun to draw and quite therapeutic to paint = P

But it was amazing to see it finished = D

Well.. actually this was inspired by a friends project "deer" showing 30x30 oringinal artworks in galleries around the globe. I'd like to be part of it but I dont know how to paint it on canvas or wood with real brushes and colours.. its been a long time since I ever paint something real. If you have any tips... please let me know! :thanks:

As I quite like it, I think about a series in this style which may be bought probably very soon as poster or canvas at [link]. :giggle:

PS. Against my principles I will present some of my new artworks here without watermark. So I hope you take that as a good will and won't use them without my permission.
:please:
