The Lonely Door
Stupefaction wrenched Jenna as she watched uniformed police officers canvas all her rooms. Each room echoed intermittent clicks from the labor of sophisticated cameras.
The detective before her snapped her back into focus. Miss Saunders
Y-yes? ImIm really sorry. I just Her head snapped towards the top of the staircase as an officer photographed the hallway.
Oh. I understand, maam, he said lightly, forming a weak smile. Theres a lot going on at once, all these people in your house. Sorry about that. Im Detective Jeff Briggs. My partners outside. Um, how old is your daughter?

The cruel sharp diamonds glinting.
Your black pearl eyes now cold as coal,
Now we know we sold our souls.

the familiar tune
whose warm voice is coming far away
singing the soul-cherishing song of hope ?
now obliterating past dark recollections
now giving glad tidings of a better future ?
in the encumbering midnight darkness
which is darker than the grave's plight
whose sweet warm voice is that , like diving angles's voice
i hear from far away every night
it pierces into the depth of my recollection
clinging on my lap and calling me by name
this pleasant tune falls in the ear of my soul
nimble and soft it falls and ensnares my soul
many a night my eyes fraught with chagrin
have remained open , and thought of her dart
all my soul's atoms are attracted to this tune
as if it is rooted to all fibers in my heart
my dream flies across the sky
puzzled and restless to know where it comes from
in the dense darkness and silence of gloomy midnight
only that melody is familiar with my soul

This demon's taken control of me
I curse myself and my incapability
I wish, I hope, to go back to the day
When I didn't care about it, either way
Why are my thoughts so out of place?
Mayhap it's someone else with my face
Punish me, now, for I spit and I curse
It feels so bad, and I want it to be worse
I look for a way out of all this
Shadows hide me, my courage I miss
I see it there, my eyes it will haunt
I look for the moment when I can taunt
It looks away for a moment or three
I wait for too long, cannot get free
It holds me
It molds me
It makes me
It takes me
Possession is nine-tenths, don't you see?
Depression is deep and wont let me be
Regression perhaps is the way, but
Dispassion makes all those doors shut
Displacement causes me to sit and stare
Abasement is the punishment that I share
Chastisement is something I have heard

Then you went through your jewelry box to see exactly what piece of jewelry would complement the dress. You looked through various items and smiled as you dug through it. You didn't really like to keep too much jewelry, but the ones you did keep had deep value. There was the crystal pendant... the heart locket... and a tiny little pink heart necklace.
You took it out and giggled to yourself. At that point, Lovino stuck his head in the room with a confused look on his face.
"What's so funny?"
You turned around and showed him the necklace. Curious, he came closer and took it from you. Once he recognized what it was, he laughed and then put the necklace on as he kissed your cheek.
"Was that the present I gave you around the time when

Life's beautiful struggle we do endure
Mingled with paramount moments and
the subtle scent of purpose
Vivid hues layered amongst euphoria and
blanketed with unforgettable sorrow
Vast is our knowledge that one day of happiness
far outweighs many of sadness
And yet we still follow our hearts to have them
broken and left in pieces
Tis better to have known fleeting love than to
exist a lifetime in utter loneliness
The taste of pliant giving to another cannot be
described unless felt in reality
Life's beautiful struggle we will endure..

and what comes next?
i do not know
what shall become of this new day?
where will the light take me
who will i meet along the way?
a distant feeling inside my heart
i don't feel complete
but where shall i start?
my eyes are still hazy from the nights slumber
my body sore from the day of past
my mind has not been cleared
of the dreams i have ventured.
but all seems well outside my mind
my path is clear
my path is fine.
I must command the day with unyielding spirit
i must go out in the world
i must live out the day
i must return to her
that is the only way.

and soon isn't soon enough
pass time pass
and relieve my grief
for if i am forced
i shall become a thief
I shall take the time that thou whilst not grant
i shall proceed hence
i will thieve the day.
But even as i vow to do so
time slumbers ever so dormant
the time does not make haste.
For if the time comes
i shall be ready
my thoughts are clear
my hand is steady.
So call me out
oh nearing hour
so that i may flee
