Gouache paint. This picture, for some reason, is really personal...I honestly couldn't tell you why. It just sort of came to me.

this is one of the MANY dream memorial pieces that are around oaktown. dude was definitely a legend around there. alot of people don't know which confused the FUCK out of me is that in cali you had 2 dreams from back in the day--1 from hell-a and the other from the BAAAAAAAYYY-YAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!!!! the one from no. cal died some years ago which also confused me because i didn't know which one died. i really like this one. i'll upload 2 more photos that accompany this piece.

I feel kinda bad for plaguing people with these, but hey. I'll get over it. :P

'Bout an hours worth of work. Finally figured out a way to transfer sketches on to feathers. And I'm a total dolt for not doing it this way before.

Buuuut in case you live under a rock... this is a bald eagle.

Painted with acrylics on a real peacock wing feather.

Enjoy!

"You never saw a deer coming, Never. It was just suddenly there ... But it always vanished when it should have still been in sight. It seemed to be swallowed by the trees, as if a door had opened and the deer entered another room, or another world."

"Treetops rasped together. It sounded like cellar doors opening ...

It was a door opening."

- Where the Deer Are, by Caroline B. Cooney

Heh. That story always creeped me out as a kid. It was one that stuck with me until I was older. And I think deer have unsettled me a bit ever since.

Anyway, I'm just trying out new things. Styles. Messing around with watercolor. It's watercolor/colored pencil.
