Here is a video showing the making of "Taste Buds", my 27 m² abstract painting meant to be a temporary decorative and colorful working space for Michelin Star Chefs Yves Mattagne ("Sea Grill" Restaurant) and Axel Colonna ("Cent Pour Cent" Restaurant) during Culinaria 2013 gastronomy festival at Tour & Taxis Maritime Station in Brussels, Belgium. There was also an exhibition with some Pencil Vs Camera signed limited edition prints during the event. I also created the music for the video.
Tell me if there's any better way to organize these, because this is huge. :[
I'm still highly conflicted on whether to post this INCOMPLETE and BADLY ANIMATED film, but oh well. Have some stills - because even though I'm not an animator, I'm pretty proud of the concepts and the final looks I managed to achieve.
Animation: Me ^_^ Music was composed by Joe Cruickshank (ambiamusic.com) also uploaded on Vimeo: [link] --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silhouette animation where everything is made using card and shot frame by frame. No digital animation involved.
here's a development photo showing off all the card models used: [link]
This independent video has no distributor yet attached, therefore it depends on a lot of promotion on the web. Please don't hesitate and link it everywhere! If you know any cool sites where it could be featured, feel free, if you love to promote it on your facebook / myspace accounts, etc, that would be awesome!!!
(EDIT) - Hey guys, the response to this film has been incredible, I really appreciate it! Over 33,000 views! If you enjoyed this and you want to find out more info on my upcoming feature film 'SAFEHOUSE' please follow me on Twitter! The link is here - [link]
So here is a one minute film I made for the Friends of The Earth one minute film competition. It was shortlisted into the final ten. It is very different to my previous film but I hope you still enjoy it.
The film took about three days to make and a lot of pastels!
Here's the film that ~Ahvia and I have been working on since February. We made it for our 3rd year animation class at SVA in the second semester. And yes, Demos really lives up to his nickname in his cameo.
Thank you so much to those of you who helped us ink and color the scenes!
Disclaimer: The music is by Ugress [link] -- who allows the use of their songs for student films without profit.
