On DreamsDreams are powerful. Dreams often act as inter-dimensional gateways of human experience. Last night I had a dream I can now merely hold up its torn, detached, unmatched pieces to the light and, in some attempt of seeing my dream more clearly, go blind. There were people perched in trees, swaying to music; some had hair in all different colors, their bodies resembling the Egyptian Ka. They blew rings of smoke into the air and some turned their human eyes with a birdlike quickness to watch me. Only I was not me. I was someone else and everyone else; weve had those experiences havent we? Zooming in and out of faces, feeling what they feel, doing what they do. Sometimes all those faces in dreams become you, and all those actions, that somehow dwindle for hour upon hour until that alarm clock rings, are you. It seems as if an uncoordinated essence is pondered on, then shaken up with all the fears and loves imaginable, each different and the same to the sleeping circle. Branches forked out like hands ready to seize me.
Moss clung to the trunks of trees and dangled over my head.
The path wound like an endless maze through the trees, dodging
large rocks and carnivorous-looking plants.
A thick fog held overhead.
I swallowed hard and tried not to think of what could be lurking around,
stalking me. I felt vulnerable.
I could hear my pulse. My heart was pounding.
Cold sweat beaded on my forehead and trickled down my back.
My footfalls were silent on the forest floor.
Was I being watched?

You may think the sun is all good, but I beg the differ.
I say damn that sun!
It was a plain, regular morning for me.
Woke up, drank some coffee, a latte.
Read in the newspaper of the disaster in some third world country, the murder in a local club, some terrorist bombing and a few killed nothing much. I was beginning to feel pressed with time, and so I ran out to the car, when the strong sun outside caught me by surprise. I was blinded for a second, when I bumped into the elderly man walking the street.
I couldn't apologize more, when he fell down, probably breaking some ribs on the sidewalk, just outside my home.
Damn that sun.
I would have stayed, to see he is Ok, or even called an ambulance from my cell phone, but I was late for work. It's a silly excuse, but it was the sun fault.
So I was driving with the damn sun in my eyes, cursing that ball of fire to the best of my knowledge, when I came to the junction of streets I had to cross, to get into my office parking. It was the

When I was little I found out I had this... Talent. If I looked into a persons eyes and told them to do something, they'd actually do it. I know what you're thinking it sounds ridiculous but I'm not kidding. I have this power to make people do what i say. I found out on the night of my 10th birthday when my mom and dad got into this big fight. Well this wasn't like most fights. It was just getting worse and worse and suddenly I heard a thump in the living room where they were fighting. I rushed in to see my mom on the floor and my dad looking so angry. I felt myself get cold and hot all at once as my heart hammered in my chest. I rushed to my mothers side her head was bleeding. It looked like she had hit the table when she fell. "What did you do? What did you do to her?" I screamed at him as I trie
Sage 14Loki sighed, undressing in the locker room and folding his suit as he was taking it off; it was poorly fitting and cheap, but he knew that it would do; he really didn't want to go back to his brother and his girlfriend, but knew that he probably had to. Still, he moved a little more slowly than he could have been moving, hoping for an excuse not to go back just yet.Sage 141 year ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
No such luck, so once he was redressed in his street clothes he left the restaurant, turned into the alley, and stepped into a shadow. He arrived in the living room silently, starting to his room. "How was the job brother?" Thor asked, but Loki ignored him; it bothered him that he was no longer truly free, that he had to be supervised by Thor. He knew that he deserved it, but that didn't mean that he liked it.
Once in the small room Jane was allowing him to use, he settled himself down onto the air mattress and tried turning his thoughts to the girl, Sage; she was having some sort of fun at least. Thinking about her unsettl

She was buried into the blankets, arms wrapped around the pillow he had given her while her head rested on the armrest; and she was making a light snoring sound. He grinned at her sleeping form and debated whether or not to wake her as she stirred in her sleep.
Sage felt a hand on her shoulder, gently shaking her awake and blinked at the blurry figure of Steve in front of her. "Is it morning?" she yawned, sitting up and stretching a little. Of course it was morning; she got up and pulled a pack of mini-toothbrushes out of her pocket, the type that already had toothpaste on it, and went to brush her teeth.

Sage 8Loki was eating another hamburger when he felt the presence in his head change from the numb one he had grown used to, to a one that was confused and conflicted. He frowned and tried to place the cause for the change, staring outside the window. He sighed and wiped his face; what was wrong with him? He didn't feel like lying or cheating people as often and even felt a little guilty about what he had done to humanity in his spite for his brother and father. What was happening to him?
Sage was kept awake by a bad feeling in her stomach; it wasn't her own, but figured that it came from the part of her that was Loki. This made her confused and irate and she felt stifled being stuck in her room for the night; she needed to get out. Silently, she got up and started to get dressed and grabbed her going out gear.

"How did you manage to rank number seven?" James asked, looking at the fifteen year old kid. "How did you even manage to fit in it?"
She shrugged again. "I'll admit I had to tighten the straps as much as they would go, but as for the other part I'm as stunned as you are; wait, that thing was ranking me?"
"Yes, as anonymous," Rhodey told her, grinning slightly. "You'd make a good pilot though, with a little more practice."
A few days later Tony was getting ready for a date with Pepper, having made sure that Bruce would be home to watch Sage. "Okay, be a good girl and listen to Bruce while I'm gone,
Sage 6Natasha frowned as she thought about what Sage had said and quickly turned and put a hand on the youth's shoulder as she went to leave, catching her before she even managed to make it a few steps away from the edge of the balcony. "Are you saying that you'd rather not have emotions? Ever?" If that was the case then color the Black Widow concerned; she knew what it was like to not feel anything, but she also knew emotions and thought it was sad that Sage couldn't feel anything.Sage 62 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Sage turned back to the red head and leaned back against the balcony, putting her hands on the rail casually and making a smile towards the Widow. She could understand her point of view. "No, I am not saying that, Natasha; but you have to understand that the situation earlier was weighted heavily against me. I did not know how to handle emotions, and then I was suddenly confronted with quick, heavy emotions; I was angry at the situation, mourning for my father, and stressed out. Everything from the way
Sage 5Loki's consciousness adjusted to Sage's body far quicker than he would have expected, and by the time he was at Stark Towers he was considerably more comfortable than he had been and wondered if maybe she was experiencing the same phenomenon in his body. There was no need for him to adjust the way the body walked and moved, for he found that her body was used to movement and followed naturally the patterns she had set in it; causing him, as he walked, to be periodically stretching his arms or allowing them to hang, swinging, by his sides.Sage 52 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
And without feeling any emotion towards his current situation made it much easier to just walk into Stark Towers, as she most likely would, without having to talk himself up to it; the Avengers were his enemies, after all, and just walking up to where they lived was a blasphemous idea.
"Hey, Sage, we made supper if you want some," Piper offered as Loki walked in, and it at the faint aroma of cooked meet in the air that he noticed his stomach rumbled f

"Father," she put the phone between her shoulder and ear while shrugging the jacket on, nodding a thanks to the Black Widow.
"How are you doing? You're not hurt are you?" he went into a fit of coughing immediately afterwards, causing her to make a frown. She would worry about his condition and the expression, she knew, would fit it.
"I am fine father; not a scratch on me. I have enough medication to last until I get back. How is your condition?"
"I'll admit that it's not the best sweetheart; I may go any time this week to tell you the truth."
"I'm sorry father, if I could do something to help you I most certainly would."

Sage 3Sage opened her green eyes and stretched; the sun had just come up and she was ready to move into Stark Tower today. Be-de-deep be-beep be-de-deep be-beep; her phone rang from the charger and she picked it up, recognizing the ringtone instantly. "Yes, Master Kao?"

Sage 2Sage walked a little further into the room when her adoptive dad and Mr. Stark disappeared into another room, and she stood silently in the center, glancing around. This was one of the tallest buildings she'd been in, and she was studying the interior quickly and efficiently in that one glance. It was stylish, slick, and modern; designed to be both attractive and productive.Sage 22 years ago in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"It's a nice place huh?" Bruce asked, smiling as he watched the teen; he saw the way she was looking around, face blank, and figured that she was sort of awed.
Two pairs of green eyes met and the girl nodded, knowing that a smile would be expected and giving a mild one. "It is; the modern style is quite aesthetic but obviously meant to also be efficient. A good combination; yes?" she widened the grin instinctually; maybe she had gotten too good at faking her emotion, sometimes she wished that she didn't have to, but even her father became edgy around her when she didn't.

"Demetri will only kill you if he finds you now." Dante started to put his arms under her.
"What the hell? Why are you trying to help me now?" she asked him with narrowed eyes.
"Because..." Dante picked her up in his arms and stood up. "I want you for myself."
Now he was carrying her to a black Harley Davidson. It looked like one of those ones used for crossing the country, with compartments on the back sides. He sat her down on the bike. "Do you have enough strength to hold onto me while I drive?" he asked her as he held her shoulders. She shivvered in the cold and from his touch. Dante saw this and took off his motorcycle jacket and put it around her shoulders. "Here. It will only get colder when we start to ride."
