fifteen dragons in flight, gliding through the atmosphere.
each with their own abilities,
each with their own color, and size,
each with their own nature,
with their own destiny...

Some say they never were,
And were birthed from imagination.
The same say that fantasy
Is the realm of children and the insane.
To believe in the magical,
And the fantastic
Is to be as a child or a madman.
I am neither and I believe in dragons.
The majestic Lords of skie
Born of fire.
In an averie of flames
The eggs lie
Warmed by mothers breath.
Emerging weak and hungry,
Unfurl for the first time.
For mothers attention.
Noble, proud and powerful
Lords of the skie
Reach the very stars with
A thermal sigh
And one thunderous wingbeat.
Upon the winds they soar
Breaking free from earths hold.
Higher, faster, beyond the limits.
All nations praise them
And they do not exist?
Fools, they are about you!
Dragon, Wyvern, firedrake
Black, white, blue, red
The old bronze
The nobel silver
The regal gold
The death dragon
The luck dragon
Dragons! Live breath fire and flame
Mighty in body, glory in na
DragonsDragons still exist.Dragons10 years ago in Fantasy More Like This
They're still out there. They hide from us. They don't really need to, as we live too fast to notice them. But they still hide from us, just to make sure.
You see, they like observing us. We interest them unendingly. They love simply hovering over an open mall, or following someone at a distance for a short while. At night, they return to their clan home and tell the other dragons what they have seen. Gossip, if you will. If you're interesting enough to them you might have a whole family silently watching you.
If a dragon likes you, it will protect you from physical harm- a big jump to the sidewalk from the middle of a busy road might well be dragon-assisted. Ideas, too. What do you think made the apple fall on Newton's head? Dragons, if they know what you are after, might just nudge hints in your direction. Whether you take them or not is up to you.
There are two types of dragon: Occidental (Western) and Oriental (Eastern). The Occidentals have wings and use them

Where did they go?
Questions to which answers,
No one seems to know.
Beautiful and gentle,
As much as a flower.
They soon disappeared,
Due to man's lust for power.
Only those now
As rare as sages.
Can truely find a dragon
In these modern ages.
Once these creatures
Where the protectors of us all.
Sheltering great civilizations
Until they disappeared, leaving them to fall.
Everyone I know
Is a dragon you see.
I look out for you,
You look out for me.
Dragons will be with us
Through the reaches of time.
In fact there's one sitting here,
Teaching me this rhyme.
dragonsA creature of myth,dragons8 years ago in Free Verse More Like This
Or so many believe-
They fill fairytales,
And haunts the past.
It's fierce eyes,
Gazing upon you,
staring into your being-
It's fiery breath,
The stench of lost souls-
Dried blood upon its talons,
A victim of the past-
The dragon's burning heart,
Driving his wings-
To spread his will-
To soar through the sky,
claiming it as his own-
The creatures driven,
By they're own being.
Journey To StarClan"Clawface!" Spottedleaf hissed, her amber eyes wide with fear and fur bristling. She backed up into a corner, away from the heavily-scarred tom "What are you doing here?" She had never feared this tom- as a medicine cat she was above that- but nowthe evil glint in his eyes sent a chill through her spine.Journey To StarClan8 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
"Finishing you off, crowfood!" He growled, baring his yellow teeth into a snarl. With eyes gleaming with the light of battle he leapt at her, thorn-sharp claw unsheathed as he aimed for the medicine cat's throat.
"Not while I can fight, fleabag." She threw the insult with determination, some vague voice in her mind telling her that she didnt stand a chance. Her mentor, Icepetal, had died before her training was complete, leaving some things out- including some of her fighting training. She could only dodge Clawface's attack as his teeth snapped next to her twitching ear. Clawface growled and flew onto his opponent's back, and with the skill of a seasoned warrior he pinned her to

I see the world for what it truly is.
The pain, the suffering,
And even the malice that fills the void.
I don't understand how my human,
How my other half, can stand them.
With their selfish wants,
And their furless bodies,
It amazes me how he can walk among them,
And not quiver at their strangeness.
But maybe it's me who's strange…
The one who might not fit.
I hide in the fabric of his soul,
Forever watching the world,
And waiting for another who is just like us,
Another who can understand…
Though my time does get lonely,
I often enjoy giving my human things,
That remind him of what he truly is,
Something that few can ever obtain.
I give him my own sight.
I let him run through the trees,
And let him feel the wind through my fur,
I even give him the thrill of chasing a deer.
Though these are mere illusions,
They are still as strong as the day I saw them,
Through my two golden orbs.
And one day soon,
One day very soon…
I hope that he and I can s
Descension of the Flame SpiritEmbers flee from sight,Descension of the Flame Spirit7 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Threaded across both skies, he stands,
Fire quakes the horizon,
his spine shrinks below fingers reaching for lights.
Flight taken through barren wind,
Forging shadows in absence of warmth.
Dying of the Flame
Lightning races and breaks the giants grasp.
Graves of time beckon.
The ground bleeds from pages left open.
Those still wanting to be read.
Gathering them by illusion, the Spirit changes his path,
and I become the watcher.
His mask bares feathers and bone,
both rattle like bark touched by rain.
More of them come, cackling, crying through the storm.
Their breathing rhythm echoes thunder, growing in the dark.
Crawling from the woods, bodies twist between foliage.
Hiding pretends my protection.
Speechless laughter leaves me still, hollow.
Bindings invade my mind.
Stripped of writing, the truths have gone.
Where he takes them I do not know.
His reflection has stolen time
Lullaby of the StormListen, young one, to the night,Lullaby of the Storm7 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Hear the storm's most ancient flight,
But do you know, dear cub of mine,
The spirits of this storm divine?
First of brave Tunet, quick to rage,
His anger like a beast in cage,
Who brings, down to this earth with force,
The thunder on its steady course.
Next to Fulger, his huntress mate,
Her power deigned a thing of fate,
She summons with pride unto this world,
The lightning descending, its light unfurled.
Now of their daughter, Vintul most swift,
Her sleek paws dancing through the rift,
She howls with joy and brings to mind,
The wind in which she rests entwined.
Then her sister, Ploaie of grief,
Her figure carried like a leaf,
Whose tears flow down a soft furred cheek,
To call the rain which shields the meek.
But we must not forget, dear one,
Of Tunet and Fulger's only son,
Whose dead eyes paint a blinded ring,
For with his breath, the storm clouds bring.

He could see no hidden lies
The love he felt for her was true
Just like her brightened hue
Without thought or even mind
He didnt know hed be intertwined
With a wolf as loving as this
Soft fur and gentle licking kiss
His tail would wag gently by
And his ears would perk very high
As the sound of her voice had carried fate
He knew she was meant to be his loving mate
Together as one but two just the same
Their love would always be a giant flame
He felt it in his heart and so did she
They both would howl in happy glee
Mates for life, mates forever
They would make it their endeavor
To be happy and to howl as one
Even after both their lives were done.
Wolfen SoulI have never wanted to howl,Wolfen Soul8 years ago in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
So badly as I do now.
I can feel the tightening in my chest,
My maw raising toward the sky,
Flattening my ears,
And singing to the moon
To my brothers and sisters,
To my soul that lives out in the forest.
All of it.
I want to drink in the air,
As it swirls around me,
I want to growl, play and bark,
At my pack who live around me.
I just want to be freed,
Of this retched life.
I want to wag my tail
And feel the soil between my paws.
Most of all, I want to howl,
I want to sing my soul for all to hear.
I just want to be free,
To be free in the wild.
Yet I am forced to hold back the feeling.
The tears welling up in my eyes,
Slowly fall down my muzzle.
I dont know if Im happy or sad,
But now I can feel myself calming down.
The feeling has been released for now,
But until it happens again, I will howl for you,
And the life that awaits in the deep green forests,
Of my heart and soul.

With the spirit of the moon as my guide
I've trekked this world far and wide
With my deep red fur golden eyes
And late night howls to the moonlit sky
My wisdom flows above all known
With cunning to protect my blessed home
A ranger of forest, leaves and stone
And ears that hear its crying moans
A servant I am, and a servant I'll stay
Yet your kind would see me to my grave
For my pelt, or for sport now this day
You kill off my kind with little to say
For I am the spirit of forests and trees
A watchful guardian of all living things
Yet you still kill us off and so it seems
The wolf, my kind, has become a rare breed

To trust those that hurt
Exposed and revealed to attack
Who can we trust?
Fur once warm and comforting
Now cold and stiff with betrayal
Of the trust we once instilled
Who can we trust?
Howls comforting and strong
Now fall like stones
Breaking fragile hearts of glass
Who can we trust?
We let those we believe in
Who show kindness and love
Compassion and understanding
We let them close
Only for them to strike
And shatter the trust we built
For ourselves and those around us
Who can we trust?
